Dear Michael Schiess,Please email me. Your story about Redgrave was correct, and then you lost your facts, The first coin operated game was in vented by Arthur Paulin. It was he and a friend E.L. Froom who worked hard putting in a coin device on the game. They were able to do it. The birth of the first Pinball game with a coin device was born in Youngtown Ohio and was Patent in 1930 by Arthur Paulin, and the company was called Automatic Industries Inc. They called it The WHIFFLE. In fact the first game was made for my mother as a Christmas gift in 1930, It has been said that the first game that was made for my mother was never given to her. That's wrong to. I now own it. It's in fabulous condition, and the spring still works!!! Yes I have all the paper work showing they were the first to have the coin device! It is also in Volume 1 in the Encyclopedia of Pinball. The first page also says. Encyclopedia of Pinball Whiffle to Rocket 1930 - 1933. I hope I helped you.
