I think once a company releases something that's not up to snuff and you still gush...that's fanboying...not this. This, is Dart Zone just KILLING it! They are crushing every blaster they make and it's just incredibly impressive.
I wouldn't say "every blaster they make". Close, but not every.
MK1.2 plagued with problems in some models, Deuce having major skipping issues, Monolith just being... Bad, Matrixfire...

We can't have double standards just because the company treats us better, otherwise they don't know what to fix. I mean, c'mon, it's an easy fix to just convert Ultra to another ammo type, so why rip the line apart?
I love Dart Zone, but giving them more leeway with mistakes is how we get another Hasbro.

@@CaptainResident I mean besides Dart zone takes feedback very well and they have been many reviews addressing this issue. they sure will improve the design and parts used in blasters like many times in the past.
This hits impressively hard! I quite like the double-stacked drum, and the fact it has a sealed barrel and easy on-the-fly reloads makes it pretty appealing. I don't know if it's the stock or the attachment, but there looked like there was a bit of flex when you were doing the range testing. Thanks for the review Drac! 🧡
Methinks it was the stock because I saw it at the back end over the grip.
Yeah, it's the stock. The N-Strike stock lug really isn't designed to take the spring loads of these pro grade blasters.
If the internals would permit, I'd just cut out the stock lug and integrate a buffer tube straight in.
@@Anino_Makata there's always the worker n strike to buffer tube adapter, but that probably wouldn't fix the wobble issues.
A solid stock like the lightning storm one would probably be solid
I know right! I shot myself on purpose on bare skin, it was not a pleasant experience but man, the sheer power of it is something to behold!
This. This is the blaster I've been hoping for and never thought I'd get. High performance, cylinder-fed, half-darts. Slamfire I can take or leave but that's a great additional feature for those who love it. Absolutely salivating for this one.
I noticed alot of flex whenever he slam fired not to mention it didn’t seem very smooth when doing so. But i look forward to this to release, adding it to my list of blasters to get. I even plan to stagger them out and get only one a month. Looks like my meager collection of Nerf guns shall soon be taken over by pro/adventure force blasters at this rate. I hope to see some new offerings of rival blasters still
Nerfers have been demanding drums for half length darts ever since people started using half lengths. Now that Dartzone is selling extra drums it's now possible to go into battle and never run out of ammo!

170-180 fps? Jeez dude! That hits like the DZP Mk.1/1.1 and it should hit about 200 fps with the New DZP Bamboo 2.0 half darts.
Why use the bamboo 2.0 darts?

@@AudieS23 From what I've read, the Bamboo 2.0 darts use lighter foam that isn't as dense as the AF Ember or DZ Ruby darts. This leads to artificial velocity boots and reduced accuracy at extended ranges.
I just hope that this would be limited to just these Bamboos and Dart Zone would correct this. Because this smells pretty fishy...
While I am totally going to get it, I see one major issue. LOOK AT THE STOCK WHEN HE SLAM FIRES. This is going to require a stock replacement.

@@recapdrake yep, lots if issues this year. The Dictator seems to be the only one without complaints. My Deuce was awful. DZ has made me really cautious about this years purchases.
Honestly this seems like the perfect blaster for something like Ion Rush. No reloads,all your ammo is ready to go in a fairly decent handling shell. Though IMO with how good the stocks in the pro line have been the amount of flex when you where priming makes me concerned about the included stock’s longterm durability.
The target down the range is a nice addition. It makes it easier to see where the darts are going.
this would be a great blaster for someone trying to get into foam flinging that wants to be competitive but doesnt want to have a rig with magazines and all of that. This would be great for that type of player. High capacity, low maintenace because it is a springer, and high fps.

It hasn't even been that long and I'm craving new Dart Zone blasters already I wish they could pump out tons of new blasters at the rate that Hasbro could just have new Pro stuff on the Shelf every two months would be awesome

I may prefer alot of the gimmicky nerf blaster’s but this one hits different for me, maybe one of my favourite dart blasters ever.
Combo of the adventure force vilinator and the tomahawk
Never cared for drum mag blasters, mostly because alot the time you have loose cylinders and some darts will tend to drop out if you point the gun down. Super annoying, but this one looks like the bomb with the enclosed nature of this drum. I love the overall design of the blaster rear stock and the muzzle end look so good, just makes this blaster have a solid beefy look to it. And the fps! SWEET! 170'S very awesome! You could hear the 'thwack!' When it hit the target. I just hope these higher price tags are not going to be a thing for every blaster moving forward, hard to justify dropping big dollars to try and collect all of these new blasters. These are still supposed to be toys right? And before I get lit up, I worked for hasbro for nearly a decade sculpting toys so I know the industry quite well.
What was it like working for Hasbro?
@@normalhuman4410 pretty good at the time, alot has changed over the years. Worked on a lot of very cool projects from star wars to gijoe. And it got me the opportunity to go to george lucas's home property in California. So yeah over all it was a great experience.
I mean, they're toys... but they're also equipment. Performance is important because we're going to take these toys to events and tag eachother until we run out of daylight to do it in.
Cheaper is ok, so long as performance doesn't suffer IMO.
@@tactiti0n and I agree totally, if that is what it takes, but in the toy business once you start a trend where people are willing to pay more and more, where does it stop? Most of you are young people who plan to buy a good gun or two, so the expense is marginal. Me I am an older person who loves modding and painting blasters, and I earn enough where I would like to buy all the new hotness but at these prices that becomes prohibitive. So I guess that's all I mean by the cost issue. But yes I do agree if you want a good gun or two then they are not all that expensive.

When I first saw this I thought it could be a mid tier blaster for a younger nerfer looking to upgrade to half darts, but still not deal with magazines. $70 is a bit steep, it should be the same price as the Nexus or max Stryker imo

I just got all the adventure force and dart zone pro blasters and all the dart zone max blasters! The whole lineup for all three! The dart zone pro for myself and the other two lines for my buddies! We're about to hit up some local nerf battles/tourneys!
I’m going to buy this. It fixes the one complaint I have about the Villainator, and that was dart fit. Dart zone is awesome!

This gun is Siick! It hits harder than any blaster I've ever used before and the ammo capacity is insane. What's even crazier is Dartzone started selling drums separately so with a few spare drums you may never need to reload during a battle! I can't praise the Tomcat enough, it's awesome!

It's missing an o-ring in the receiver barrel. It hits really hard, but it would hit 200 if the airseal was better designed. The spring wouldn't need to be so strong if the airseal was better. It's almost perfect, but it's missing a standard part of blasters with similar fps.
Mine shows up tomorrow. Cant wait. Also, it'll be la couple of weeks till someone will have a 3d printed insert to make it mag fed as well, ill wager.
Anyone else keep getting in stock alerts from Target then not so much? Like over and over...
Other than wanting a sturdier, angled grip pump, I can't think of anything more I could ask of an off the shelf hyperstock performance blaster.

So how long until someone makes it a mag fed blaster. I dunno why but someone will lol...looking at it it could be cool to have just a quick magwell attachment to just slip in. Dang it that could be cool. As long as it could be swapped back and forth. I literally just talked myself into liking this idea
Not a complaint here, but i noticed a bit of flex in the front end when he was testing the slam fire.
Watching it in slow motion had me cracking up because of the audio.
But id be will to bet they ALL flex.

Man. Dart Zone is kicking ass. However slam fire seems a little clumsy there, almost like my stryker which has a bit of priming issue after a while.
The plunger/pusher integration does seem pretty clunky with these cylinder and drum systems. I've had my concerns with them since the Deuce Pro.
I can't wait to pick one of these up they keep popping in and out of stock at Target typical Target though when are you going to have any modification parts for the dictator or the duce Pro or anything like that

Drac correct me if I'm wrong - but the mechanics seem a little clunky compared to the rampage/raider Nerf blasters.
Hopefully mods will make it much smoother to fire, would love a drum based alternative to the Nexus/Max Stryker primaries for larger capacity.
I hope some day Dart Zone makes a Hammershot style revolver.

Question: would you say the prime strength and drum is a bit user unfriendly to a younger player? I ask because I’m comfortable priming a nexus/Stryker but the drum could get in the way and the prime looks hard from the side
I would like one but at $70 it is starting to get expensive. Quite a powerhouse though. Maybe I'll wait for it to go on sale.
