Sony HT-A3000 soundbar review - Make anyone sound great!
Вставка
- Опубліковано 15 лис 2022
- The newly released Sony Atmos soundbar HT-A3000 is the baby brother to the flagship HT-A7000 launched last year. The A3000 is half the price and still carries over many features from the flagship model.
There are plenty of Atmos capable soundbars today and consumers are spoilt for choice. But there is a trick up this Sony soundbar and you really have to hear it for yourself. You will find that Dialogue coming from the A3000 is one of the best from any soundbar. This is my maiden video and foray into the world of Sony Home Audio. I promise more to come!

Plenty of retailers out there selling this new soundbar in Singapore too!

Best video I watched on this soundbar.
Easy to understand, kept my attention, good level of detail 🙂
Thank you for this video. It was most helpful as I recently purchased the system and later purchased the subwoofer.
Thank you for your help with this. Very informative.
What a fantastic review. Very thorough and informative. You have a new subscriber.
Agreed. New subscriber here as well.
Very nice video and informative. Thanks. Can you advise if Bose Soundbar 600 is better than Sony A3000 for vocals and dialogue clarity, just the soundbars themselves.
Thanks for covering Acoustic Surface Audio+
I am thinking of buying a soundbar for my 55 inch Sony A84L. Which soundbar would you recommend out of the Sony Ht A300, Sonus Beam Gen 2 or the Bose 600? Also I am not sure if I should get a bigger unit like the Sony A5000/A7000 or the Sonus Arc because those soundbars are too large for a 55 inch tv to be honest.
Thank you for your review. I have a new Sony 55 inc TV How important do you think it is to get the A 3000 as opposed to the Sonos? Pros and Cons. Thank you.
@PeterPee I agree with you on music 360 audio - it detracts from the music. I turn it off too on my Sony headsets.
Would love to hear your thoughts on the A7000 Sony soundbar with the SW5 sub and wireless surrounds!
Hello Peter, I have Sony Bravia TV with no S-centre sync port to connect to A3000 that I just bought. Am I missing too much? Is there a workaround?
Didn't expect to find this on your channel haha. I did consider upgrading from my beam to the a7000 but changed my mind and went for a stereo set up instead since I mainly listen to music
Yeah, for music, always better to go for stereo over a soundbar.
Great video as always! Are you going to make one about Sonos 14.9 update?
Now it's at 14.20 and I am lagging behind! I just got back from a holiday!
Sony have messed up IMHO. They’ve made their premium sound-bars to be too wide to sit in between the legs of their Bravia screens. This means that if you don’t want to wall-mount your TV, you either have to have a bar infringing on the screen or have it under a shelf blocking the up-firing speakers. Lame! Thankfully these speakers partly address this issue and, combined with the A3000 and SW3, should be a good solution. Flip me, Sony 🙄
I'd prefer to hide the support legs behind the long sound bar.
@@teykengwei I’m happy with that too
This or the beam 2nd gen ? Nice video ;)
Great review video.
Was wondering if using a Sony tv, is this soundbar a better option over the Sonos beam gen 2?
Any thoughts?
The feature that Sony bravia tv lends to this is the center channel output. I just wonder if it outputs to an amp and 3rd party speakers....
I can ascertain that the combination of the Sony TV paired with the A5000 changes the sound signature tremendously. I own an 48" A90K.
How’s this as compared to jbl 9.1 & 800 pro
Try the new Sennheiser Ambeo Plus out if you get a chance Peter. It's an absolutely phenomenal piece of kit. The sound quality is so detailed.
You are really tempting me.
@@PeterPee Do it, least you will review it with the best settings for frequencies etc. Otherwise you can come round mine for a cuppa and have a listen if you anywhere near South of England 😅
I'd love to hear your thoughts on the Sony HT-A9.
Trying my luck soon! Maybe next month?
Can you do a review on the Sony HT -A9
Let me see if I can get my hands on a set....
Hello Peter, Forgive me for being slightly off topic but I'm looking forward to your test of yesterday's Sonos 14.19 update, is it safe to download? I learned my lesson from the 14.12 update three months ago so I'm waiting for your approval before I download from now on. Thank you for all you do I like Sony as well.
That's exactly where I'm at...update on hold until I get confirmation it's good. Everything has been sounding great so not taking any chances
Just finished the video: ua-cam.com/video/mzZEg1Ib71o/v-deo.html
And sharing some black friday sale recommendation for Sonos!
Hi peter, are you interested review Bose soundbar with Bass Module? I have Bose Smart Soundbar 300 with Bass Module 500, i'm happy to see you make recommend setting to that soundbar.
I just got my hands on the new Bose 600 which is Atmos capable! Need a bit of time to work with it.
would appreciate you could compare with sony system and sonos system in a more detailed way!
At some point in time!
My brother has that tv in a 55 inch . Sound was good for a tv but I bought the lg c1 instead
I think the LG C1 sound might actually be better. ;)
Sony HT-A9 review please 😍😍
Maybe... in Jan?
Hi Peter, can the 2 surround speakers put it together infront with soundbar ?
Well you can but it would defeat the purpose so if you are going to have to do that, then don't buy the surrounds!
@@PeterPee yes indeed I understand now Thank you for your reply.👍
@@PeterPeejust have my first sound bar LG s95qr enjoying the rear speaker and is good 👍😊
I was wondering... Is up firing speakers really any good? This soundbar doesn't have that, but it WILL fit underneath my TV 😀
So, how important is up firing speakers really? Anyone have an answer for this?
To be honest, none of these will come close to actual ceiling mounted speakers. The one feature that will distinguish this is if a manufacturer actually makes ceiling speakers to pair with the bars!
hi bro..can you bring in sennheiser ambeo to review tks..
I'd love to. But they haven't been responding to my pleas.
Can you please review the a7000 would like to see what I'm missing out on
I’m going to get the A5000 to review soon! Stay tuned. I just am very curious about the upward firing speakers!
Plssss can you answer at this questions?
Soo is 3000 better option than 5000???
Because i heard that up speakers do not playing really atmos... It worth to spend another bucks just for this speakers?
I wait an answer! Thank you🙏
The bass output from the HT-A5000 is SIGNIFICANTLY better. So even if not for the Atmos drivers, the 5000 is still better for bass.
@@PeterPee ok! I understand..BUT its a better option however if you say that atmos at 5000 is not really atmos, Although it has 2 speakers up.. 🤔🤔🤔
I buy it at that money just because it has a "better" bass?? 🤔
3000 it has 360 mapping sistem.. That 5000 He doesn't have it.. So is a better option 3000😊? Is it?
From the UA-cam sound tests, I found the a5000 too bass heavy (from the videos). But that's my preference. Also I saw some comments that the a3000 may have a high pitch sound likely due to a ground loop problem.
Sony engineering is top notch.
I bought the A5000 in the end.
Grabbed it off carosell BNIB at $500 off retail. I have the Sony 48" A90K TV.
The UA-cam sound test videos don't do this unit justice.
The sound is warm. The bass can be adjusted between minimum, medium and max.
I love it. Streaming Spotify to it, the bass is good enough. So much so I'm not sure if there'll be any benefit buying Sony's dedicated sub. 14:16
@@cas3y-midus i bought the subwoofer too.. Is amazing together, its something else, everything change, you will see.. And, Yes you right.. Sony is the best!
A7000 or Arc ?
Super tough call and I can't tell now.. But if the A5000 is any indication, you are going to get hell a lot more bass from the A7000 over the Arc.
@@PeterPee thx
So the million dollar question, will you replace your Sonos Beam Gen 2 with Sony HT-A3000? 😆
Truly the million dollar question. Which I am still contemplating myself. I am currently running all the systems. I keep having to swap them in and out. Truly there is a difference in the sound. I actually like the surround performance a tiny bit better on the A3000 but I like the bass coming out from the Beam a lot more. The A3000 also has the advantage of using the Acoustic Center Sync, so if I don't have the Sony Bravia TV, I am not sure if I want to do that.
No!
I just replaced my cheap LG soundbar for this one. And I am not impressed at all. The sound feels muted somehow, the voice enhancement HAS to be on, otherwise it sounds very dark. The sound field effect makes everything sound fake and odd. Only 3 settings for the sub volume, no setting for treble or mid tones. I have a new so y tv too, and the “use tv as center speaker” make no difference at all..
There’s a volume control delay when you turn it up or down, so it takes way too long time to turn the volume up or down..
I need a few more days for testing before I return it to the store. Very disappointed, and all these reviewers make it sound like it’s top of the line sound. It is stuffed with useless features that only makes it sound worse.
I have watched SO many reviews on this soundbar before deciding to buy it, it’s a lot of money. And I feel cheated, and clickbaited. They all got this from sony for advertising, and it shows in their overly positive reviews.
Don’t listen to these guys. It had a cheap LG soundbar, and it blows this one out of the water.
I don’t know what it is with youtubers these days, every product they review is just fantastic apparently 😔
Only Sonos
I'm diversifying!
