These Walls - Bringing York Castle Museum's Debtors' Prison to Life

'These Walls' is a play that brings to life the history of York Castle Museum's Debtors' Prison.
An ensemble cast of 14-16 year olds (York Theatre Royal Youth Theatre) lead the audience through York Castle Museum, animating the spaces and giving breath to the stories that are held in the fabric of the Prison's old walls.
The audience is invited to take part as witness, onlooker, gallows mob and other roles.
'These Walls' is a York Museums Trust and York Theatre Royal partnership.
