The only time I've sever sent a mass email was when Want (One) came out and I emailed everybody I knew to say it was the best album I'd heard in over 20 years.
How can he make it sound like there is an orchestra backing him up with just a piano and that amazing voice? Favorite song of his. Favoite version of my favorite song now.
deep, sad and happy. Emotional poetic and imaginative. It is a beautiful song about searching beauty and love . The original version with the orchestra is fantastic as well , a rich and original mix of modern song and a classic baroque background . This one is just pure and perfect.
Yes! Watching him sing this confirms the lyric I always thought it was and the online "lyrics" messed up: "TALKIN' the Santa Fe and the Atchison Topeka!" Love hearing Rufus sing his heart out on this unplugged version of his best song, IMO!
I saw him again last month for about the 7th time. This time there were 2 other entertainers that evening, Judy Collins, and The Indigo Girls. He also had family members singing along with his hubby too.
GOD ONLY KNOWS WHAT YOUR VOICE MIGHT SOUND LIKE if you sat up and supported. I fear it would be too much and we would all explode! How about unplugged and slowed down Beautiful Child
His voice is hypnotic. It always feels as though he won't reach his low and high notes, and he always does. He tortures the listener. I love him!
That's well put. A bit like the end of vibrate.
One of the best songs written in the last 20 years.

@@glammerTo this day I can't understand how this is not hailed as the work of genius that it is
There is no full orchestra, but you can hear it. That's talent, and we're running low on it.
This version is gorgeous. I heard it live yesterday and came straight home to listen to it 1000 more times
my two
This version is great! Sounds like how I imagine it first sounded upon conception. Rufus is a genius

probably because he hears that orchestra in his head ;-)

An example of a perfectionist.
