It’s looking brilliant. A lot of frustration I’m sure, but overcame hurdles and accomplished it yourself. ❤️🇬🇧
Kudos to you for beeing so patient end dedicated. All you shape, ends up shaping you.
Grand job Marina 👍, I know it took a bit to finish( You said-lol) now the finished product- lovely 👍🥀 thanks for sharing. Now the fun part to make it a nice comfy home on wheels.😃❣️
Thank you Shirley!
Sister you're getting real good at this. I'm totally impressed!! And it looks beautiful, makes your van look
very chic. Can hardly wait to see how you accessorize. Take care and thank you for sharing.
Thank you Carolle! accessorizing is also my favorite part!
This looks so good. I love how well the floor fits and I know the roof was a mare but man-oh-man does that look good. Well worth the aggravation to get it installed. Amazing work.
That is going to be one cute van, well done, you are doing an amazing job👌
Amazing job Marina, I wouldn't know where to start. Fascinating stuff xx
Great job, Marina. Looking forward to whatever comes next in your van development.
She is looking fabulous and you have done a far better job than I ever could . Well done ! I'm looking forward to the next stage.
Thank you Garry!!
You are very motivating for me. I am in the insulating stage of the walls of my van and I have a lot of anxiety/eagerness to do the paneling up to the windows like you are doing. Then, come to the ceiling… I have had a raise roof put on so I have some curves as well I have to learn about. But you’re giving me more confidence… And you’re something else with that router… Carry-on
Good luck with your insulation! Wish I had a raise roof, maybe in a few years :)
@@WildSheGoes I love your rig! What a great size and four-wheel-drive! I have rear wheel drive and one of the biggest Chevrolet engines available for my 3500 extended passenger van. It’s 19 feet long… I was pulling an 18 foot camper for a year, that is in storage now and I hope to sell that at some point. There is certainly more to the story, More on that later. I was going to keep the plastic side covers in place but once I took them off to stop placing my Havelock wool, that’s what I’m insulating with, I decided I could use a few extra inches that removing the side panels had given me. So now I’m down to the ribs stuffing wool in all the little crevices, Getting ready to frame out the sides and start thinking about doing the ceiling. You are certainly a hard worker, determined, and you have an awesome rig. Stay well, rick
Well done Marina, looking great. And again brilliant solutions on the way.😄😄
You are amazing! I am always impressed with your work!
What a result!! Fantastico!! 👏👏👏. Brilliant video I just love it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Brilliant job ! 🙂
You’ve done an incredible job - it looks great!
The idea to stain the floor instead of vinyl makes sense for your use.
I’d add the stain to the edge of the plywood too as added moisture protection.
Thank you for the tip!
Love it 🥰
You have worked so hard to get that done looks amazing 🎉 looking forward to the next video xxx
WOW! You did a GREAT job. You had some problems but solved them.
Watching a highly capable builder solving problems is always fascinating. Can't wait to see how the van looks when finished.
Amazing. I have been thing of Coverting my truck to a travel sleeping/camping vehicle for a while now
I’m so impressed with all you do. You are amazing. You’ve inspired me to build a van.
Freaking amazingly professional.
5:22 is THE most satisfying moment ever!!!
took me far longer than I'm ready to admit 😂
So impressive! You are so talented!
Respect you for doin this yourself. Very good. 👌
thank you for this video ! you're doing such a great jobs ! It can become so frustrating to diy but you managed great results !
Merry Christmas and the Happiest of New Years, Marina!!!!! And everyone!!!!
Lovely work, all around. 📏📐🪚 Great job on those little corners and angles.
Great job as always, even if you struggled, I can imagine 😵💫
You always make it so fine and come up with solutions.
I love watching you build 😍
I wish you a great day 🚐💨🤗
Thank you AnnMarie, have a lovely end of the year! 🤗
all dat wood l👀ks AMAZING!!!
luvu so much.
✌😘
I would recommend sealing the edges of all that plywood. I know it's too late. But maybe if someone in the future reads this they will do it on their own project.... the edges are where the moisture gets in mostly
mmm good point!
Wow,you’ve done a fantastic job 👍
it's looking really good. Congratulations 🙂
Looking like a wonderful place to spend the night. I expect great adventures come summer 😁
Very impressive Marina. 👍👌🤩
It looks brilliant you should be very proud 🎉
Thank you Julie 🥰
Wow 😯 that is amazing! 👍💕
You are awesome 👍
looks great! You did a very good job and should be proud :)
🎄Merry Christmas from Downunder 🎄💫
I'm sure it drove you crazy🤪, haha, but you did it Marina! It's done all by yourself and it looks awesome! Congrats 👏👏👏💗
Marina, I think that is the worst part over with. Although it is going to be a lot of work it, will be more enjoyable to make the cupboards and bed etc. Brilliant 👍
Toni
Indeed Toni, everything is easier that cladding 😂
You did a great job Marina on a difficult roof, I would have did likewise 👍 especially with wood cladding 🥵 I bought a nice Vivaro to do similar a couple of years ago but I moved to an island due to my wife’s illness so it hardly moves now 🙁 but I have seen what can be done with them inside 🤔 and have good fuel economy but I have a house to work on now 😂 love your channel it’s very interesting 👍 kind regards Steve 🙁🏴🙏
You did a fantastic job with the panelling Marina. That really is the worst job, I agree. And if that is the first time you used a router, you are a natural and there are some jobs for you to do next time you are in Cumbria ! Ha ! Do you know there are mini routers that you might find easier on small detailed work? I do the same and varnish both sides and all the edges. I did that on a trailer and it lasted 20 years in the UK climate, so it works for sure. It's interesting that there is no wiring hiden behind the cladding, so I'm looking forward to see how you handle that. Happy new year, Pete in Cumbria.
Hi Pete! I haven't added an electrical system. Since most of the time the van will be on cargo mode I didn't think it was necessary. I will be using either my Bluetti or Jackery system to power and recharge everything. One thing less to worry about! I saw those mini routers I might be getting one for myself. Although I'm still quite scared of routers. Happy end of the year to you Pete!
@@WildSheGoes And that's the best thing about knowing what you want and planning ahead. You can arrange things exactly how you want to suit your use of the vehicle. It's perfect ! You are so right to avoid making unnecessary holes in the van. Every one is another risk of leaks and corrosion. I'm in a bit of a quandry with my van as I have solar panels to fit on the roof but I don't want to just trust adhesive - yet don't want to risk leaks by using Rivet Nuts ( which do work great inside similar to how you have used them ). Life is all about risks and benefits - and with that bit of philosophy I will go and sit in my can to work out what I am going to do ! Pete
Beautiful job!! I am impressed!!
Glad you like it SYlvia!
I've been following you since Pam and feel lucky that this is the time we get to see this conversion as you're putting in the roof vent just before I am going to with my van, and it is giving me more confidence to do it!
Any reason you're not covering the metal around the windows with some sort of carpet?
I love how cute this van is btw well done so far!
Hi LInda! I was planning to cover everything with carpet but I didn't have the budget or the time for it. Perhaps if I see the need to add it I'll do that later on 🥰 🥰 🥰
@@WildSheGoes yeah maybe its just fine like this, may depend on climate as well. Looking forward to seeing more of the build!
looks great!.... i feel your pain too...haha ........i know how it can be!
Very goog job :) a old carpenter from finistere 👍
“Marina strokes wood”. You are getting the hang of the double entendre I see.
I might have to trim that away, I only realized when someone pointed it out 🤦♀️
@@WildSheGoes leave it in and just add a wink emoji so it looks like a deliberate, ever so slightly naughty, joke. It certainly made me laugh.
It looks great, the hard work paid off! How big is the back of the van? It looks tiny from the outside, is there enough length to sleep comfortably?
Hi nick! The bed is 1.80cm in lenght, so plenty of room for me!
Brilliantly done
How are you planning to deal with the roll-down windows in the side doors? I'm working on converting a similar van and really want to keep the roll-down feature, but keeping that and insulating it seems like it would be difficult... Insulation would need to stay out of the way and be waterproof (or waterproofed).
Lovely watching these videos as these are some of the most detailed I've found on such a tiny van like mine :)
HI Jacob! Well indeed those are a pain. For now I sanded down the panels where the holes are and was able to refit the window handle. But it keeps falling off, so honestly I still need to find a good solution! The panels are fairly tight so I'm not overly worried of water getting in, although I'm sure it will at some point.
@@WildSheGoes Thanks for the reply! I was thinking about mine and I might try foam board as the panel, since in my van I plan to wrap the interior panels with upholstery instead of wood paneling. The foam board would intrude about an inch into the cabin, but since (in my van at least) the areas surrounding the sliding doors are already further into the cabin than the door panel, I think it will be fine. All I would have left to figure out is those door and window handles. Maybe some kind of extension could be made?
That is amazing great work!!
Patients pays off for sure (((HUGS)))
❤
Its so nice siting by an open fire, drinking 112 year old brandy when its cold and wet out side, on top of all that watching someone else work🙂🎅🎅
😂 have a s sip for me too
👍👍❤️
Hi Marina, 🎉 What a fantastic job you have made in the back of the van. You should be really proud of yourself. Hope you had a great Christmas and wishing you all you wish for yourself in the New Year. Tony 🇬🇧 xx PS more videos please. ❤
Thank you Tony, happy end of the year to you!
Wow, it looks amazing!! Well done!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Been watching your videos for at least a good 3 years and what work your doing on your van I.think it's coming along brilliantly. Look forward to your next video xx. Merry Christmas 💕
Thank you for your support Russell! Have a lovely end of the year 🤗
Awesome work! Looking forward to seeing more of your van!
Well done and my admiration for not editing out your mistakes. So many van builders on UA-cam look so proficient yet we only see the result after probably three or four mistakes!
Cheers for 2023
I'm guilty of that too! If I showed you all the mistakes it would be a long long long film. I just sprinkle them here and there 😊
It does look awesome!
Congratulations Marina. You are a tenacious puzzle solver.
Sure glad your friend suggested the blind rivets as that was a great solution.
Easy to get at the engine cover nuts I'm sure.
Looking forward to what you do next.
Hope your staying warmer and more comfy in you home this winter season. (so far -35 F here for the low)_
Brrrrrrrr!!! I don't envy that weather!
You keep playing down your skills - you made an excellent job of that 👍👍👍
You always amaze me. Truly a phenomenal lady.
Ah thank you!!
I am so impressed with your work. Wish I could help. It would be good fun.
What a fantastic job you have done!!
The ceiling looks great!!
Un’abbraccio dall’Italia!! Bravissima !!
I’m very impressed! Well done❣🇨🇦
After all your great work, your van looks classy and spacious. Love the multifunction aspect of your build with the option to remove the main furnishings. Makes a lot of sense.
It is looking gorgeous! I’m so very proud of your skills and persistence. 👏🏻
`Hello ! What a trial but the result is there !!! I think (certainty) you had very very hard. You ère awesome 😊 Have a happy New Year !
Thank you, happy new year to you!
Wonderful! Looks fantastic!
Thank you!
I am so impressed with the result! That roof! All those bits and pieces. Especially with that trim installed, it looks so professional. I really admire how you push through and keep at it until it's done. You truly are an inspiration to me. Thank you xx
Thank you 🥰
Una vera donna da corteggiare!
Fantastic outcome. Be proud of your work!
Thank you Cathleen!
Fantastisk workshop video from You lovly hello from Lolland xpost Bjarne Denmark 🥰🇮🇹🇩🇰⛺️♨️🏕🏗🏍🚲🚐🚃
Thank you BJarne!
Absolutely amazing you are... ! Everything looks easy on paper but as a Carpenter you don't know until your in it, everything's got a secret handshake just remember that.. and you found it !! Great job.. . .
Thank you Jonny!
Fantastic job... I'm impressed. You go girl...
great job🎉 … “marina strokes wood “ HILARIOUS 😂
Happy Christmas marina, roof is looking good but I would have saved the hassle and put up 4way stretch carpet lol. 🏴
Hello from British Columbia Canada
🇨🇦🖐👍♥️🛣🚐⛄🚐🌲🚐⛷🦝💜💤🏂❄☃️
Turned out very pretty 🥳😍
You do good work despite the frustrating challenges.
Marina, it turned out so lovely!!! And honestly: it looks so professional, you did such a great job!
Evening Marina, WoW what a totally awesome job you've done there! Looks so great and some niffty woodworking skills shown too to complete the panelling and flooring. So it can be frustrating and hard work, but the end product speaks for itself don't you think! Sorry it's been so long to watch your fine vid's but the festive season was coming and is always a mad rush around. Hope you had a good Christmas and I wish you a Happy and healthy New Year.
Top job Marina...that is looking sweet...well worth the effort 👌
🇨🇦 Given what you had to work with I think your conversion efforts thus far are looking very good indeed. The wood and stain chosen give it a warm cozy feel. The satisfaction you gain and the money saved by doing it yourself makes up for the frustration experienced along the way.🇨🇦
I think, madam, you're a better carpenter/joiner than you let on. Good luck, on the road, flower.
The inside roof reminds me of a turtle shell. Perhaps also a suitable name considering the speed of construction. Tartaruga. A very good video.
Too late now but very flexible vinyl flooring that imitates the tongue and groove flooring would have solved your roof cladding very easily.👍
I was just thinking that I haven't seen anything from you since way back around the time you changed the name of your channel, and had to look for you in my subscription list... and it's long. Glad to see you're still out there, doing your thing.
Only tool for the house you need to take is a mobile phone to ring someone to come out and do it for you lol. I see a collaboration with the restoration couple channel can’t wait for you to get cracking. What a warrior Gary is hope he heals fast and kicks cancers arse
Often times we learn more from our mistakes than from our successes. Well done....and best wishes for the new year.
It's coming together so well Marina. Great job 👏 👍
Beautiful Inside and Out, and very cleaver too :-)
muahaha loooving the outro
It looks Amazing ! Congratulations !!!
Your much 2 heard on yourself, you did a gr8 job 😘🦋❤👍🏾👏🏾
