    Thanks for the heads up about checking the voltage, mine was high, and replacing the battery fixed it. Would have been sad if I'd ignored it and burned up the new clutch.

    Thanks for the how to on the DC draw and burnishing the clutch! This Xtreme PTO should outlast my 15 year old Cub Cadet LT2180. It’s good to know we can still buy quality!

    I just installed one of these on a John Deere Z920A. Product looked good. Install was without issue and I did the run is procedure tonight and it seems to kick in nice and firm. Will mow tomorrow and then update.

    Good morning, I have a question on removing the PTO clutch. When I try to remove the bolt the shaft turns. What is the best way to secure the shaft so I can remove the bolt and then torque to correct ft. lb. when installing. (2000 Huskee riding mower)Thanks

    very informative video, thanks. But you are mixing up voltage and current at the beginning of the video. These 2 things are not interchangeable

    No mention of how to keep the crankshaft from turning while torquing the crankshaft bolt

    • @catbirdfeeder
      @catbirdfeeder 2 роки тому +1

      at 5:111 he talks about using an impact wrench or HOLD THE D-Spacer to prevent the engine crankshaft from turning. however not all have D-Spacers...i saw one guy use a pipewrench to hold it

    • @wcjcnc
      @wcjcnc 2 роки тому +2

      @@catbirdfeeder You only use an impact wrench to remove the crankshaft bolt. When you install the clutch you use a torque wrench. There is actually a wrench made to hold the spacer but it’s expensive so I custom made one identical to the one you can buy.

      WCJCNC..... being an "Old Schooler" myself... just remove the spark plug, and feed some rope into the cylinder, then rotate the piston up towards TDC, and it will "lock up" there and will Not rotate any further. When you're finished with torquing the crankshaft bolt, rotate the crankshaft in the opposite direction, enough to free up the rope, and pull it out by the "tail" you left hanging out of the plug hole, then reinstall the plug again... to the correct torque specs for your engine (especially if has an aluminum head(s)), of course.

    Do you have a video on how to change the rotation?

    At 4.12 I fell asleep, my apologies. I thought, mistakenly, the video was about installation, not an introduction to procedures necessary before starting any mechanical job. When my eyes opened I looked at the comments, none of which received the courtesy of a reply, I realised I had missed nothing at all.

    The DC voltage coming from my battery at full throttle is 14.40 VDC. What can I do to reduce this to meet the 14 VDC max?

    Hello I just ordered a PTO clutch from your website for my Cub cadet rzt 42. How do you guys pull old clutch out?

    Should my clutch be loose, it seems to vibrates when idiling

    I have a toro Z420 new clutch in but need to replace electrical wires with new pigtail you provided. Do wires need to be connected in a certain way or will clutch work either way the wires are connected to original wiring harness

    • @Spinnaker617
      @Spinnaker617 5 років тому

      Same here. They sent the wrong adapter harness for my Husqvarna. I need to know on their plug from the clutch which wire is positive.
      This is no help.

    I appreciate the effort for this video, but it is no extra help beyond the manual. You should show an actual installation.

    Best thing l ever did was get rid of this ridiculous type of clutch, and made a simple linkage with idler. Now beautiful,smooth engagement. Good riddance 😂NOT
