  • Details: The Elbow Freeze is a basic Freeze that you can use in your dancing. It is very similar to a hand stand so balance is key. Once you get the form down, play with different leg positions and get creative.

    I can't stress enough how much important is practice and excercise your muscles is, specially your arms and shoulders, I've been doing this freeze for a long time and then I stop practicing, everything... a few weeks a good I was warming up to do some freestyle on a pump it up machine (a dance game like dance dance revolution, but better imo) and after I did a couple of handstand I tried the elbow freeze... I kissed the floor really hard...

    Practice, it will come. I suggest listening to music while you dance. It always helps me.

    Just an additional tip, it's easier to elbow freeze if you have a good handstand. I've noticed that because now when I elbow freeze I also use my hips and point my feet towards the ceiling similarly in a handstand.

    Yes you can. It depends on the person. If your comfortable doing that, then go for it. But if your trying the real elbow freeze, it's best not to because if you do then your body will be used to putting your head down. Try your best to be as stiff as you can and try balancing on your elbow. Take it slow and train as much as you can. Don't hurt yourself though.
    Hope this helped-ish.

    I do this one on roller skates (aka jamskating). I have a habit of going too far over, and pivoting on the free hand. Just wondering if you have any ways out of the freeze that would have you going over in almost a flip or somersault? Figure might be able to turn my FAIL into something :D

    2 years ago when I tried this I falled on my chin it hurted badly

  • @shadowpumper
    @shadowpumper 11 років тому +1

    I planted my face on the floor and for the next 2 or 3 hours my mouth tasted like blood, I'm glad that none of it came out and I actually did the freeze... with my face... but that was because I stop training a long time a go
    so take it from me, excercise your arms and shoulders a lot before doing this because it might look like a handstand but it isn't and you can get hurt really bad
    lucky me I didn't break anything, the funny part is I fixed my nose XD I could breath better after that XD

    They protect you from hurting from hurting your feet. Normally you should practice with shoes on, especially with power moves, but you don't necessarily have to. (I don't.) If you are dancing on wood, cardboard, concrete, or any hard surface, you should wear shoes because you won't hurt yourself.

  • @rishab7721
