I'm learning AutoCAD as part of my course, so I thought I would know most if not all of these. Never knew about the overkill or oops command, so you learn something new everyday! Thanks Llyan, great vid!
Great balance of humor and education. Thank you!
I use the -PAN command in a viewport all the time. In MODEL space I will have objects a set distance apart (foundation, floor plan, roof, etc) and then in PAPERSPACE in a viewport, I can use -PAN to move the model the same set distance so that all the objects appear in the same location from sheet to sheet and the scale remains the same. (Lock those viewports, people)
Thank you for these additional commands pal!! They help a lot!:)
The overkill command and oops command is the best hack i discovered from you... legendary ultimate time saver... keep it up kuya!!
I'm glad i could help!!:)
Really it helped me
Mine is overkill and scroll wheel click hahaha
What's the difference between J (join) command and overkill?
@@czarinaiguico6551 it is a faster way of cleaning up duplicate and overlapping lines.. most of the time if working fast you dont care if lines are overlapping or duplicating and in the end of the day you gonna go back and clean it up.. but with overkill i just go select and area i want to clean up and overkill bam bam..
thank you so much, for a beginner like me, it's so helpful, good job!
00:27 1. tr + double space = unli trim / extend

♥️
thx man
Excellent video. I am self taught and this was a huge leap forward. Thanks.
Thank you Lods, seen this before and now rewatching it to help me with my C.A.D classes..
Seen a lot of videos on autocad. You are by far the best I've seen and enjoyable. Keep it up. Thanks.
Thanks Llyan. I loved "Oops command". That's amazing when i think about the time that i lost in certain projects ^^
That will be good if you do a part 2 of this video. Peace !!!
You're welcome pal!!:)
Thank you! I’ve used autocad for 20 years and am ashamed to admit that I never knew I could extend while in the trim command by double space bar, nor did I know about tips 6 and 7! Thanks for not taking for granted that “everyone” knows this. I sure didn’t and have spent many years in offices full of engineers with all of us sharing tips with each other and no one ever mentioned “oops” nor “overkill”. Oh the hours I could’ve saved! Especially the overkill command!!! Thank you and looking forward to more! God bless!
I'm glad i could share these things pal!!:) Thank you for the encouragement!
need to be careful with overkill though, it can sometimes give you anomalies when polyline arcs are present , say circles made of 2 polyline arcs (i know, retarded but i genuinely received drawings like this multiple times) will actually become semicircles, some poly-arcs will change shape etc ...extremely useful but need to remain vigilant.
Great sense of humor and good tips, Llyan!!
Thank you for the compliments pal!:)
Holy Cow! OVERKILL and OOPS are incredible life savers. Thank You!
Happy i could help!!!:)
trim and extend commands are interchangeable in function with the SHIFT button. thanks for the vid... this refreshed me with some of the commands and I learned the "overkill" command 😁
Glad you learned something pal!:)
Love the OVERKILL and OOPS command!! Thanks Llyan ✌
You're welcome!!:)
I have that same mouse for AutoCAD; escape, delete and enter are my favorite quick commands. Thanks for the heads on overkill and oops!

I didn't know about overkill, oops and the double click scroll to zoom out the entire drawing. Thanks for this knowledge💛
OH MY GOD THIS IS SO IMPRESSIVE AND HELPFUL THANK YOU!!!! love from Malaysia :))
for the copy commands. add the control+shift+C 0,0,0. / control+V 0,0,0. this is very useful for transferring your layouts into another model space without altering your origin and position.
Thank you for the additional tips pal!!:) they help a lot!
Grabe laking tulong nito.. Sanaall Love LOTS. 🥰
huwag nyo turuan yan. Di ba architect daw sya. Dapat alam nya yan. Bobo nya naman
Thanks for your useful video, I think you can add "Trim+F(fence), LE (Leaders) as well.
THANKS! Overkill and Trim Space Space will be super useful!
May I add some? 😊
Tlen: gives total length of lines (i usually use this in estimating)
Ctrl Shift V: paste objects as a bloc
Layiso: isolate a layer to avoid selecting unwanted objects
ma: to copy or apply properties of an object to another object
Huwag mo na siyang bigyan ng idea. Di naman marunong yan.
that was exactly what I needed , thank you so much

Architect Llyan in the trim & extend commands I found it more easier to just click the trim or extend icons then right click and hit the line to be trimmed or extended.
Didn't learn anything new, but your video was awesome :) Would like to see more
Thank you pal!!:)
Command oops will help my project1👌 great tutorial. Thanks buddy
Thanks for the big help bro!
Tbh I'm not an architecture student or anything who's related to that field. But of all the Filipino UA-camrs, your contents are the only videos that I actually finish 'till the end (literally) hahaha.
It's very informative and super straight forward. You do not exaggerate on screen. Your voice is moderated and not pesky which makes everything feel comfortable and chill.
I also like how every content that you produce has substance. You always make sure to introduce topics that people would be genuinely curious about and where people could actually learn and apply it to their lives. hahahaha
Ahh. I'd also like to acknowledge the smooth editing in this video 😂. wala lang share ko lang, more power to you!!
Thank you for the awesome compliments pal!!:) It encourages me to make more videos!! I'm glad you appreciate my work, it means a lot!:)
about the "TR" commands on expanding it. you can also use "EX and double enter" then click what you want to extend and same as what he said that it will be have a perpendicular to be extend.
Nice video bro. thanks :D
Thank you for the additional command pal!!:)

I started using “extrim” to trim all lines crossing a cut plane
And “Lineworkshrinkwrap” to create polylines around several object that are touching each other
Awesome additional commands pal!:) Thank you!

Good idea pal!:) Thank you!
Thanks a lottt...need more videos
Amazing tips, great teacher, super fun to watch :D :D
Thank you for the compliments pal!:)
Xline (xl space) command is super helpful to me.
Also " 'cal" expression "mee" (middle of endpoint to endpoint) to find centers of geometrical shapes.
Put a "-" in front of many commands and you get rid of dialogs for that command use. Example -array.
Txtexp for text explode into lines (helpful in CNC drawing cases sometimes).
Thank you for the additional commands pal!! They help a lot!:)
I have my autocad final in less than a month. You saved me. :D
I'm happy i could help!:)
Did you pass? Distinction 98.75%?
Laptrip, informative and enternaining video. Nice
Llyan, please draw a floor plan and section on autocad as a tutorial! Your process and super saiyan hacks will shine. Happy New Year!
Thank you for the great suggestion!!:) I will add it to my video ideas to do list!:)
I love your video man !!! ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you!!:)
2:05. turn on edgemode. type "edgemode" command. type "1" this commands allows you to extend/trim to the nearest or chosen perpendicular line, even if its not right across like its shown in your screen. in your case the line would extend to the perpendicular line on the top left.
Wow great command pal!!:) Thank you!
LoL ithought that oops just a title for the command mindblown dude hahaha thanks very helpful for future designs!!!
You're welcome pal!! I'm glad i could help!!:)
Thanks for your effort, success!
You're welcome pal!:)
5:35 The green selection tool is called a Crossing selection (as in, it selects what it crosses), and the blue selection tool is the Window selection (as in, it has to be in the window to be selected). And you're not a selection master until you know about ssget, entsel and nentsel :)
Ohh what are these ancient super secret commands you are telling me haha!!:)
oooops! It really helped man... 👏
👍
I'm glad i could help!:)
Been watching this video a few times before i actually start using autocad.

very good lecture thank you keep on
Thanks a lot! Bro
Thanks for the tips and techniques. It helps a lot! stay natural and funny bro
I use the Burst command once in a while. Also Using CP and WP after some commands like erase is useful
Thank you for these additional commands!!:)
The last three hacks are a bomb. I learned a lot. Thank you sir!
You're welcome!!:)
Thank God for this video because there been SO many times I've had to poop and did not know how to save my drawings fast!
Select multiple line and press J + enter to convert the whole in polyline
To join line perpendicular to each other use fillet command or press F + enter and than R + enter then set radius to 0... Boom! The lines will be joined at right angle without the need of any stretch or trim needed
Thank you for sharing these shortcuts pal!!:) It's very helpful!
you can bypass setting the radius. holding shift while filleting (or chamfering) will set the radius/ch distance to 0 and create a corner.
Thnks for this video.. Plz do one for archicad and bim programmes
You're welcome pal!!:) I'm not that good with archicad, revit probably i could do some in the future:)
What an interesting video.thanks llyan
The OOPS command works! I was almost sure you are joking bro haha, you are super funny, you made my day after work :D Best wishes
great video! Can you please make a tutorial of how to configure the mouse buttons for shortcuts?
You can easily configure it by downloading the Logitech g602 driver software from their website:)
useful, thank you
YOU'RE SO FUNNY! Great video THX
You are weird genius 🤣🤣..many many thanks for sharing tips
OOPS is very helpful. 👏👏👏
This is so helpful
thanks master your the man...
Very helpful bro
No kidding, overkill and oops have saved my life on so many occasions. I'm glad you're actually showing these tips because you have no idea how much I had to peruse the internet two years back to find out that overkill even existed, because my project files started getting so heavy due to the unnecessary overlapping lines from all the exploded blocks I'd used. And pffft honestly autocad hacks actually can make you low-key popular in archi school no kidding people actually ask me stuff because I've helped rescue urban design projects for them
Also a very happy new year to you mate! I hope this year's great for you and your channel grows to the levels it deserves!
sarahcantshake Do you know any other hacks like overkill? I went wild by knowing this overkill command in this video. It would have made my previous plates easier.
@@landewell6862 the purge command is really helpful to get rid of layers that youre not using. regen command to regenerate curved surfaces that have somehow turned choppy and segmented. spline to make random irregular curves and organic shapes that polyline wouldnt let you make easily (helped a ton on my interior design project). knowing about lisp and how to install basic ones is super useful. ole image insertions are really useful if you're working on group projects or keep shifting your files around.
Happy new year pal!!:) Thank you for the encouragement!
Thanks for this..now i just assign the commands on aliases like aa, ss, zz, xx, cc, qq etc. All keys are near the esc key so my hands don't need to move a lot.
You're welcome! That's awesome pal!!:)
Wow it's a really very useful..
Thanks bro
You're welcome!!:)
