I been saying the same things for a decade. NY rappers can appreciate Southern rap & even switch up styles now & then but to completely abandon your NY roots to jump into another wave just for radio I can't understand. Example Raekwon jumped on a Outkast song & sped up his flow for it but never compromised himself & he been doing joints w new rappers & vets, so do Jadakiss, Fab, etc. Do you, but I think too many NY rappers sold they soul.
