The typical, old order Jedi generally were reluctant to fight and went into a fight after all other options were exhausted. Detached ruthlessness is a good way to describe Luke in ROTJ, but that's after being trained by a bitter Obi-Wan and Yoda who both wanted him to be a vengeful weapon to destroy the sith. They taught him to not let his emotions overwhelm him, but Luke arrived at trying to save Anakin on his own. Luke in ROTJ is very gray. I’m not exactly sure how tall Mr. Hamill is, but I think In canon even in comparison to pre-suit anakin/Vader he was on the shorter side. @@MichaelNoMyers He's about 5'8 I believe, so yeah he is a bit on the shorter side. Anakin is about 6'1 without the suit, and as Vader he's closer to 6'7
-Starts off with a surprise attack, to see how Luke reacts to sudden, unexpected aggression. Puts Mara Jade in as well, to see how he reacts to fighters of the opposite sex attacking him. -Throws a little blast deflection in, with Mara and a nameless thug. Going from blaster pistols to rifles, increasing the speed and power behind the shots. -Graduated to solely Force Users now, starting with Dark Acolytes/Dark Jedi, those that have dabbled in the Dark Side but haven't even begun to master it. Here we really begin to test Luke's resolve, to see if he will kill his opponents if he has to. -Having proven himself thus far, Luke's next test is Count Dooku, one of the strongest lightsaber duelists of his era, and one of the best Makashi specialists to have ever existed. -Next, a combined assault between Mara Jade and another Force User, seeing how he handles himself against multiple Knight-level opponents at the same time. -With Mara Jade being executed without warning, Luke is forced to reconcile with surprise betrayals, tested to see if his nerve will crack under unexpected pressure. -Having passed all the other trials, Luke now contends with Lord Vader, Anakin Skywalker after his fall but before Mustafar, arguably his strongest form in terms of raw power in Dueling and the Force. All of this was to see if Luke really could become what Anakin was meant to be: THE strongest Jedi to have ever existed, a being capable of achieving Oneness with the Force, and a wise warrior who would lead the rebuilt Jedi Order into a golden age of peace and prosperity.

@@ColonelBlair but I suppose the sequels are better to you? It's not even the fact that this is better. It's because Disney is a MULTI-BILLION DOLLAR COMPANY that can't do shit 99% of the time with Ahsoka being the exception, and that'd just Dave Filoni since he practically has full control over the series which explains why it's better than anything that came before it in the Disney era (besides Rebels which was Disney's first big Star Wars project after they bought it).
They never expect that little bit of his mean dad that Luke still has in him. 😂
My gosh my favorite part was 100% Luke fighting the makashi user. He was exactly like Dooku, That was insanely awesome thank you so much for that. All of this was so epic. I hope your passion for dueling never stops. Theres no one better at showing it then you.
That was dooku
The only problem with that dooku lookalike is that he didn't have a curved lightsaber
SO GOOD!
Let's see:
-Great dueling choreography
-Beautiful soundtrack
-Actually knowing how the Force and Lightsabers work
My friend, you have won the "You Didn't F*ck This Up" award, which looks like an Oscar only nicer.
It's better than the "You Done F*cked Up" award, which Disney kept winning for years now and looks worse than a Razzie
Bottom line, it's great to see fans actually creating something wonderful that pays tribute to the source material. Luke Skywalker is my favorite character and he was done justice here. Thank you and keep up the great work. Plus you made Disney Star Wars look like trash. That's just icing on the cake.
I agree my friend
And made the prequels look like trash too. If you're only comparing this to the sequels that is a looooooooooooooooooow bar my friend. You're basically insulting this video by comparing it to Disney lol.
Superior to all duels in the Devil Mouse trilogy. It's also how they should have handled Luke.
Red cape and Mara jades deaths were so well done!!! The expressions were so believable! Amazing job
Thank you!!!☺️
@@Juliet_Merlot you make a great Mara Jade, but Mara as a Sith used a pink blade
@@samara1815 We all thought it was purple based on comic art? The blue streak filter on the lens did tilt a b it more bluish, but based on my varying monitors and TVs I thought I had compensated for that in post enough, but it seems the color science of some screens out there still needed more compensation
BEAUTIFUL!! Yet another piece of art from this team. And Anakin training him as a Force Ghost?... WOW... speechless... It's beautiful, has poetry rhyme with the scene on TOTJ where Anakin trained Ashoka with real though scenarios which in the end saved her life. It also showcases how Luke got so good even though there was not much of a way or whom to train with anymore... but of course he did, he had his own father to train with now... Oh man, this was good!! For me, this is my canon on how Luke continued his training past ROTJ. Maybe close to what George would have done... Thank you for this, Mikestarwalker Team!!!
Hell yes, this IS canon! The real Luke in his prime!
Your videos take me back to the time when I was a teenager. Me and my friends would do lightsaber fights with sticks and film outselfs doing it. What a great time. Nothing but playing outside and gaming after school. We used to be very skilled with the stick duelling.
That was the pre Disney time, when Luke Skywalker still counted as roll model. He was my childhood hero. It's criminal how Disney handled him. Back in my day me and my friends used to tell us the expanded universe stories like some ancienct myth, none of us had read any books or comics, just heard about it. In the EU Luke became the most powerful Jedi ans we loved it. Now I am 27 years old, Disney turned to shit and kids don't play outside anymore. Time flies.
Keep it up, you didn't lose the child in you and I respect the hell out of it! ❤
That was absolutely amazing!
FINALLY YESSSS
Great job emulating Luke's different styles.. the footwork especially stood out to me. Hamill had those long strides that I see here also.
I’m not exactly sure how tall Mr. Hamill is, but I think In canon even in comparison to pre-suit anakin/Vader he was on the shorter side.
I know it’s fantasy and all, but realistically that’s how it’d have to be in a fight of blades. Luke would have to take longer strokes knowing that Anakin was bigger.
@@MichaelNoMyers He's about 5'8 I believe, so yeah he is a bit on the shorter side. Anakin is about 6'1 without the suit, and as Vader he's closer to 6'7
@@kaitosevski3881 facts fam
That was better than the acolyte
Wow. Speechless. You move just like him too. That’s crazy cool. Make another!!!!
I...I have no words brother..."That was awesome" doesn't even begin to describe how amazing this was! I'd say it's the best y'all have ever made! Keep up the good work! 100+/10
From the choreography to the episode 6's music, it gives justice to luke's character!
Thank you so much!! This is the real Star Wars!!!
Fantastic!!! 14/10 easily....the story...the choreography....just amazing!!
Well done!
Not as flashy as the prequels and not as pragmatic as the OG trilogy, while keeping the good spirits of both. I love this happy medium!
great choreography and effects and editing on this one, well done!
Love how intentional and calculated Luke's fighting style is. Well done!
Awesome
Luke: (after Mara tries to kill him) Yeah. She wants me.
🤣🤣🤣🤣This might just be the funniest comment about MJ here yet!
Best I have seen in a while. Thank you for this amazing duel
So worth the wait! It was epic guys, congrats! I loved every second of it. I hope you all win the sabercomp!
Thanks so much! Everyone really put their hearts in it, and damn was it such a great experience to collab! Can't wait for our next one!
Great as always, love the motifs from the choreo of previous movies
Man, this guy moves EXACTLY like Luke in RotJ! It felt like Luke Skywalker!
It's crazy how accurate this is to Luke's style! Wait to see what the opponent does, parry until you have an opening, then finish. Great video!
So incredible! I try to see it as Luke facing off with the darkness manifested from foes of Darth Tyranus and Lord Vader with all of their hate and pain front and center
Brother..... this is sincerely THE most cinematic experience you have ever produced.... truly wow... i had chills at least 5 times watching this....vibes... Costumes... vibe... cast... even the music man... music was ON point... just wow. So glad I introduced you to @renegadefilmforce .....
Thanks so much for linking us up! This was truly triumphant! Next time we gotta get you there too!
This really captured Lukes saber style from RotJ so well and added to it the sort of expertise years of additional training would have added on. I can only hope future releases will capture it so well. Excellent work.
that was way over the top. it really came off as a stage performance I think that's what won the award
This was really awesome!! I haven’t been on this channel in a while but I loved this amazing film to see to come back to see an amazing film!!
Incredible choreo!
This is a damn near perfect Luke Skywalker… the look and his movements and everything
That was a lot better than I expected. Very well performed duels.
That was masterfully choreographed and you captured the essence of Luke beautifully.
Great as always please do more fights with Luke skywalker this was amazing and I need more!!!!!!!!
Your choreography and cinematography is better than the entire sequels trilogy. Absolutely phenomenal.
You know? The more the video went on, the more I realized how much Luke inherited his father’s dominating presence as he calmly walks towards his opponents.
Like father like son, they’re always in control
Outstanding. You really nailed Luke's style.
THAT WAS SO SICK
The most impressive thing is how they were faithful to the fighting style of each character
Seeing Luke doing Jedi Stuff is exactly the thing we've always wanted.
But Disney had to ruin him, because they didn't think they could monetize the OT anymore with Mark Hamill being older. Just so lovely.
By the way this film is awesome, great job
The style of Luke here is very likeable, a great mixture of longsword and kenjutsu swordsmanship.
And if we focuse on the lightsaber styles, we have a little of shi cho, soresu, ataru and djem so, great job once again.
Wow, so many subtle details in that choreography, it was just beautiful. I really appreciated the tiered combat that pushed a simple but powerful narrative forward while showcasing the dedication of a couple of really talented people. Bravo!
I'm so glad to view this. Much needed at a time of disgrace for Star Wars. EVERYONE involved in this is to be commended. Be proud you all did remarkable work and Dizzney Star Wars should be ashamed.
Wow this is unbelievable like truly unbelievable. Cheers to all involved
The way that they manage to honor the fighting style that both anakin and luke had throughout this video is brilliant.
deadass it looks so fluid like it came right off the big screen
I can see why it won an award. I've been saying this since The Force Awakens came out - let real Star Wars fans take on the storytelling of George Lucas' Star Wars with wonderful stuff like this and Jamie Costa's Kenobi: fam film. Stuff like this is great!
Now that's what I call quality content
Now waiting for an Ahsoka vs Luke (friendly/training) battle. I wonder how that would turn out.
This was epic, keep up the good work and may the Force be with you
We have a few eps of "Ahsoka" left... a scene with Ahsoka and Luke sparring while Anakin supervises would break the internet, lol.
@@nahor88 You're right. Everyone would lose their minds from the hype. Although it's a very small chance as the show mainly focuses on Thrawn and Ezra
Jim Halpert in…..The Office Strikes Back
THIS is exactly why the idiots at Disney should be contracting these amazing creators and letting them run wild in licensed space. I can only imagine what this kind of creativity with the unlimited Disney budget could achieve.
This was such an amazing film to write the music for and I’m glad so many people like it so far! ❤️
You did an amazing job! Love the style dual of the fates vocals, and battle of the heroes strings type crescendos. Masterpiece 👏🏼
Well done 👍
Can somebody please send this to... Nevermind.. They don't listen..
AAHH i am sorry for this play by play but the DAMN CHANGE IN THE BATTLE at 4:58?! WHAT, you could feel it, the change of hands, to Lukes advantage. Incredible
