I have watched all 4 videos so far and since i am considering going to Colombia in feb. 2019 i now cannot decide between Cartagena and Medellin! 🤔😃 I am waiting for Santa Marta clip - is it coming soon? Because it might be the 3rd option 😀 I am looking to meet local people where it is not totally tourist-filled. Which between Cartagena, Medellin and Santa Marta would suit that preference of mine most?
Your production value is fantastic; the cinematography is great and you go to some wonderful places! I think the one thing I'd appreciate more as a viewer (and my Colombian girlfriend would appreciate too) is if you had the background music be music from the region/Colombia! There are some beautiful songs that would suit the areas well and make your videos more immersive. :) Looking forward to seeing more!

Dude, it is not so difficult. Just look at any dictionary or in Google. Columbia is north of Washington State, The country you visited is COLOMBIA... COLOOOOMBIA.
My friend, as you've seen in the video i know how to spell Colombia - it is written in all animations, titles and lower thirds. As you might have noticed I'm not a native speaker...in fact I'm from Germany which means my native language is German. In German Colombia is called "Kolumbien", so if my pronounciation is sometimes not on point that's because of that. I hope you didn't suffer too much bc of this 😉
Cali is a huge hub for salsa and they have really great bands, but it is not the Salsa Capital of the world. That would be in Puerto Rico, or 70s/80s NYC. Salsa is of Puerto Rican/Cuban origin.
The question is not so easy to answer with a yes or no. the best thing is you learn a few words of spanish and ask the locals on site. They are very careful that nothing happens to the tourists. And stick to the rules. There is always a lot of police in the typical tourist locations. I personally have been to Colombia 5 times in the last 27 years and was always surprised at how friendly the people are. Nothing negative ever happened to me.
Cali is ok but for some reason I did not get a good feel for the city. Like Medellin lot better. The salsa definately is top class. the one thing they have going for them. However, plenty of places for salsa in Medellin as well. I was in a salsa club last Sunday until 2am. Salsa all night.

UnssenX IF YOU TO Cartagena don’t GO to Santa Martha is pretty much the same thing, MEDELLIN IS DEFERENT FROM THESE TWO CITIES.
too late now as it is March but lived in both cities. Medellin is great but has less to offer.
