At Maastricht University's Special Collections, we understand the profound importance of reading in a child's development. That's why we take immense pride in housing a treasury of beautifully illustrated original children's books, each with the power to spark imagination and ignite a lifelong love for literature. 💫 In the Special Collections, you will find 56 richly illustrated children’s books dating back to the first half of the 20th century. Among these treasures are first editions of fairy tale books by renowned authors such as the Brothers Grimm.
