- A single player dominions 5 playthrough with middle age Shinuyama.
The only mod used is AI No Recruit which prevents the AI from spending all their money on weak independent troops instead of their national recruits.

@@fogmindgaming I agree, great video. Shinuyama is very interesting to play! I like to play it with unaging bless but recuperation is very interesting too.
What is the difficulty level?
The difficulty is Normal AI. Otherwise they get a lot of free stuff which is not what I want for this series.
I'm playing with recuperation because it will help upkeep-free wight magi recover from afflictions they pick up in the process of becoming a wight mage. It also has synergy with phoenix pyre which multiple sacred commanders can cast.
you need unaging on shinuyama. it will make your sorcerers start off young since it is retroactive.
I've tested unaging and it's a good strategy, but it doesn't help wight mages recover.
what difficulty?
This is just Normal AI. Anything more difficult cheats, which teaches you bad habits.
@@fogmindgaming I disagree you learn bad habits against the higher level ai's. I personally don't ever play against anything lower than difficult cause otherwise they just fail at expanding so badly it's not a challenge at all and that can create bad habits not using gems early to gain an edge cause you don't need to.
@@Mordenperson With custom pretenders and the AI no recruit mod they'll expand fine.
@@fogmindgaming not really.... Even difficult AI is bad at expanding. There is a reason that when you play with AI's there will be indie provinces 20+ turns in...
