I heard they did their first and only tour with Iron & Wine as the opening performer. I would have loved to see UC live. Those who did were very lucky.
i saw them twice on this tour it was amazing they played every song from the album did what isaac does which is ramble charmingly extended every song and ended with styrofoam boots what incredible memories
@120223 Edgar Graham isn't a real person. Check out the first note at the bottom of the wiki page. All the songs were written by isaac and he created the whole Edgar Graham back story for them.
@Abarnes0678 I was referring to when he WROTE these songs. I'm sure he went back to drinking later, but during writing and recording of Sharpen Your Teeth, Isaac was for the most part clean.
@Abarnes0678 I shot the Houston concert and it's on UA-cam. He just doesn't seem that intoxicated to me. Certainly no more then any other musician I have seen on stage over the past 20 years.
ya holopaw is good, i got their newer album but i cant seem to find any websites with lyrics to it, just their older album. Orths voice takes some getting used to, but i learned to like it
this is honestly one of the dumbest things i have ever read. backup? he's co-lead on the entire album. this isn't MM, it's UC, and he is one of the reasons it's a nice departure from MM. btw, he leads a band called holopaw with an album that isaac helped produce. without his voice, the UC album would be a much lesser piece of art. PS: who cares what he wears at a show?
How many people would lose their shit if he sang this in 2020? (*pending we have concerts)
;(
@@Bobby_Rib Yeah, unfortunately. I'm headed to the see LCW show on Sunday though! When I met Isaac I told him how much I liked this song.
I was at this show. Wow 10 years ago. 10 YEARS. What an AMAZING show. It will never, ever be topped. I was just totally blown away.
18 years ago now

grateful this video exists

i didn't know either. i love watching/hearing this
dont push my grump-button...just listen to the music. its right there and so perfect.
that's Brian Deck! producer of Moon & Antarctica!
Bought the CD along time ago not knowing who they were.
I wish I was there 😭
Can anyone find out the chords/tuning he used for this? All the tabs I find dont match what hes doing here
for some reason this song reminds me of my friend Adam's room
No, that was a story Isaac made up. He was trying to confuse the interviewers or just prey on their vulnerability.
Well said. Thank you.
regardless to any state he may be in ever, the music is so beautiful isn't it? Anything else does not matter.

I dont know me, you dont know you, we fit so good together because I knew you like i knew myself..
if you ever find it, let me know please.
Can I get that site to please?
oh ok. I agree. That would be so cool!! I would probably have to bring extra pants.... haha
Did they play Hotcha Girls and/or Smoke Like Ribbons? If so, please tell me when/where I can check it out.
Thanks

isaac is my new love.

Ugly Casanova hasn't been together for a while now... I wish Modest mouse would play some ugly casanova songs at their next NY concert though.
well its funny you should ask but that guy is john orth - not only was he in ugly casanova but he's in holopaw. i like holopaw.
Two dislikes? How in the world.......
well said.
Every time Issac sings, an angel dies, no love lost there eh?
where was this?
He wasn't drunk for ugly casanova, this was one of his clean periods. But alot of time's he's pretty wasted with MM, but that's what makes him great.
Anyone else think this sounds better live than the cd version?
best shit *ever!!

is he talken about fuckin crap fishin again,,damn lol
These are fan lyrics arent they? A guy sent them to isaac under the name ugly casanova, thats how this project came about.
Yes. Not hardly "the early years."
@120223 that's a lie, he admitted to making that story up
