🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation:
00:30 📡 *Mounting Bluetooth board under the top panel with antenna facing forward improves signal range by avoiding interference from speaker drivers and wires.*
02:08 🔋 *Upgrading the battery to a 1s 3p pack with 18650 cells, providing a capacity of 6,000 milliamp hours for longer usage.*
03:18 🌡️ *Avoiding overheating of the charging module by repositioning it above a plastic battery holder, ensuring proper air circulation.*
04:13 🔄 *Replacing the old micro USB port with a USB Type-C panel mount connector for charging, with added hole for a power LED.*
04:41 🎧 *Creating separate enclosures for left and right channels, improving the internal volume for each speaker driver.*
06:20 🎨 *Adding finishing touches for a retro look, including potentiometer knobs, a front cover with neodymium magnets, and a simulated radio tuning band.*
08:19 🔊 *Testing the Retro Bluetooth Speaker, highlighting improved sound quality and bass compared to the old design, with a total project cost of around $90 USD.*
10:02 🛠️ *List of improvements includes enhanced signal range, battery capacity, heat management, charging port upgrade, separate speaker enclosures, and aesthetic enhancements for a better overall experience.*

"Not hot glue will be used on this project; that's the lazy-man's adhesive"

Very professional look and workmanship. Each clip is better and better. Congratulations! And thank you for the inspiration for those small white plastic PCB spacers - it's just what I was looking for, maybe without knowing it :) Cheers!

    Great Video!
For better temps on the tp4056 i know 2 different ways:
    1- Change the current resistor
2- Add a shocky diode before the input of the tp4056 to drop a bit the voltaje and be more efficient. Tp4056 can be powered from 4.5 to 5.5V

Very nice speaker. I have a few bluetooth boards and some speakers and plenty of 18650 cells from old laptop batteries. I need to male a good bluetooth speaker soon. Thanks for the tip on adding wood glue for the supports, I wouldn't have thought about that. As always, love the cat.

I love the style and design. minimalistic but elegant. A good add on if it won't ruin the look is a pair of analog VU meter...

I appreciate there may be a small cost implication, but could you have used a rotary switch on the front panel for the power as you had gone to the bother of imitating a control anyway? Really enjoy your videos, keeping the projects within the realms of most people's ability.

Nice video. If you want more power you can use TPA3110 it has 8-26 volts range so if you use 2S or 3S battery pack it would be more powerfull

Not with this amplifier board. It will need a different type of bluetooth board, more expensive.

Are there any good low latency bluetooth sound modules? All the modules that I tried using have around 150-200ms sound delay and that makes them basically unusable for movies or games, the lipsync delay is just horrible.

    • @Sorin_DIY
      @Sorin_DIY  9 місяців тому +1

I haven't tested this before. I tested this bluetooth speaker now and it's ok. it doesn't have a sound delay, or it's undetectable.
