Yesterday I did a test drive of the Tata Safari top model to replace my XUV 500. I am Highly disappointed as the car's steering wheel is extremely heavy. This makes the car difficult to park and impractical for city usage. Maneuvering in traffic is very difficult and this would also make the car painful to drive in hilly areas where sharp turns at low speeds are frequent. All the other features of the car are very useful but this one basic need to make the driver comfortable has been compromised. From an awareness perspective, XUV 500 comes with electrical steering whereas the Tata safari has dated hydraulic steering. Folks planning to buy Tata Safari should do a test drive of vehicles like XUV, Creta Innova, etc to understand the difference between the steering wheels of the cars. I tried to research and have many owners and prospective buyers struggling with Tata’s thought process on this. Appreciate you being honestly reviewing the car and sharing the pain points clearly.
Gagan bhai maine manual aur auto dono try kiya mujhe koi stress feel nhi hua hai dono mai I did not feel heaviness with regards to clutch but mera ek hi concern is gadi se hai boot space aur 12v socket ko leke otherwise it's a best SUV.

I like how you compared this with old Safari rather than Harrier. It makes it more sensible if you think it as facelift of Safari, but still it would be more appropriate if it would be launching as Harrier 7 seater version.
The 3rd row ac blower control should be on left side where we enter to the 3rd row & if one passenger is there in the 3rd row then s/he will sit on the left side for easy entry & easy out & if half of the 3rd row is used for luggage in a 6 passenger journey then right side will be used & the blower control will be obstructed.
Looks like Mahindra and MG had paid him to review this Car. All he want to say is this is not car it is bullock cart. Do some real review not paid one.

Knowing Tata and how they worked with the Altroz im pretty sure they're gonna assess the Safari through a year of customer feedback and usage and probably launch a 4x4 version on their one year anniversary, along with some more misses on the current one.
Tata please tune the 2.0 for more power and AWD for 2022 model year Next gen xuv is supposed to have adas so I hope Tata will also consider that along with power assisted liftgate

When they were selling no one bought the old one, but when they discontinue it and make it better people start saying " Why Tata you killed the legend". While buying new car nobody ever thought of the safari and not even sat in it for a first drive at all.
