Wow I didn’t remember Davis looking so tiny! Also I love the point at 9:30, Halep must’ve felt like she was playing her reflection. Love both these players
Les matchs de Simona sont mémorables et bons comme leçon pour tout jeune joueur de tennis. Ambition, beaucoup de travail et croire en votre étoile, c'est Simona Halep! Quel match de sacrifice de leur part, quel bel exemple à suivre! ;)
And now we can never see this type of match again because of the TB implemented. The drama of Simona failing to serve out the match 3 times, and then having to save triple match point serving at 10-11 is something that will just not be replicated in a tiebreak.
A fost și rămâne un meci de luptă pentru ambele sportive !Felicitări Simona ,ai punctat când a fost momentul ,ai fost mai lucidă !Este vorba de marea campioană !Congrats !
ATTRACTIVE, FOREHANDS AND NICE GAME........................ EXCELLENT AND SUPER RANKING PLAYERS IN THIS GAME............... BOTH PARTICIPANTS IS SUPER ENERGY FULL, PRACTICE FULL, TECHNICAL FULL, STAMINA FULL, STRONG FULL AND POWERFUL........ BEAUTIFUL SERVICE, ATTRACTIVE RETURN, FANTASTIC FOREHANDS AND MANY ATTRACTIVE GAME ACTIONS SEEN THIS GAME......... IT IS NATURAL, WINER IS SUPER WONDERFUL..................
SH Lim A respectful handshake acknowledging the other player who spent the same effort. No matter what or how long you play a respectful handshake is required and it’s taught in juniors when you are 10 years old. The longer the match the better the handshake should be in my opinion because you should take longer to acknowledge the commitment if the other player and Halep would’ve acknowledged her but it’s hard to do that when you’ve played a 4 hour match and Davis walks off court in less than a minute
@Nathan lifska losing a 4 hour battle is gonna hurt more than losing a regular match and Davis and Halep were clearly struggling physically towards the end of the match. There was no malice or coldness intended in the handshake they just were both rly tired and sore.
Terrible commentators. They lack intelligent and insightful comments, they just recap what we just watched eg. "Backhand goes wide", " Halep pushes it long", "Davis is disappointed" etc etc. Give me a break. If you are going to commentate a grand slam then at least give us insight to tactics, strategies, weakness and strengths the players are experiencing during the match. And bring in some stats to make it interesting. I feel like these commentators are more suited to an afternoon game show with light airey lollipop comments.
the one thing that annoys me about this match was that i think the toe nail was bothering Davis at 11-10 40-0 and I just wish she got treatment then because it potentially contributed to her losing the next 5 points and the game before she got it seen to
Clapping for both ladies every time I replay this match. Incredible performance and endurance!
This was crazy good tournament on womens side at ao 2018
damn right it was! so many epic matches. The men's sucked this year.
quite rare to say women's matches > men's match in ao 18
The women side in AO 2010, 2011 and 2018 are all better than the men side, AO in this 3 years had so many epic matches

6-0 down in the tiebreak and comeback to win 8-6, that'd top it :D
Tronny it’s a 10 point tiebreak

What an epic match!!
Congratulations SIMONA gran partido👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I love these videos but I wish it showed us more of the match instead of cutting out the first stet and a half

Doar talpa simona este regina mea la jocurile olimpice.regele meu la jocurile olimpice este natal.victorie halep la jocurile olimpice.
Those are the worst timed ads ever.
I didn't remember that Davis missed 3 match points I feel sorry for her😪
finally someone shorter than Simona
Simona Halep (168cm).... Ashley Barty(166cm)Dominica Cybulkova(160cm??)Barbora Strycoca (164cm)Sara Errani (164cm)etc etc etc
my two favorites.
What is the score: 8:8???
Simo showed her class Lauren was super good but the better olayer won.
Simona❤💪🎾😘
How can a toenail fall off? I have never heard of that, unless you slam your toe on something, etc., which I didn't see her doing.
True
I lost multiple nails due to tennis in match, trust me it happens
PS: I blame bad shoes bad socks, and loving too much sliding on hard courts 😂
"Ohh wow what a beautiful shot from Davis, such a talente Young lady"
"Ohh Lucky shot from halep.." 😂😂
Mad ain’t it?? Head scratching material for sure. Same type of condescending commentary at the 2019 Wimbledon.
Simona halep mi idola
Lauren probably could have won this match if she wasn't having problems with that plantar ligament injury on the bottom of her foot.
Nice
What is the song?
Poor handshake considering both ladies played for almost 4 hours, very poor.
Nathan Lifska Then what do you expect after putting everything into the game?

its better that halep won tho coz davis was clearly injured and would probably not have been able to perform at 100 percent in the 4th round

Yeah. I’m sitting here like, “yes I just saw she hit a return winner...”

Short women are the best.
When they're built like and look like Lauren Davis, yes! She's built like a brick shithouse, and those thighs...
Remind me of Demi More
Yass
