The whole point of this is being real with yourself. Real about your goals. Real about your talent, skill set. Real about how hard the work will be to get you to the big leagues and figure out if you are willing to sacrifice to get there.

Trevor NEEDS to be back on the pitcher's mound!💙 He has more KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, FOCUS, INTENSITY & PASSION for the game than any pitcher out there!🔥🔥🔥⚾️ Trevor is one of the BEST!💯💯💯
Nice video. I pitched D1 and 2 of my roommates drafted. Several friends in the Bigs. My advice: You need to put yourself out there as much as possible. 2-3 teams per summer. 15 at bats a weekend. Show up to a few big league tryouts. If you're a pitcher, get yourself on a throwing program and schedule like Trevor promotes.
Your key to all of this is to get to a place where you will play. If you are not drafted in the first 10 rounds from high school, go play at a college where you can play. If you are drafted and sign a contract, one key word... focus! Don't get involved in the parties, drinking, drugs and the girls chasing you. Focus on baseball, your position talents, and work at it.
Really good video. Spot on advice. Just some interesting info on getting drafted via the JuCo route: ‘Here's some data through 4 MLB rounds! Who played JUCO prior to D1. This is research done by Micah Hatten I got bored and researched draft picks/schools through round #4. Through that round there were 2 players selected directly from a JUCO and then 5 additional players selected from a D1 school who had prior JUCO experience. Combined, this represents 5% of the drafted players - again through round #4. The odds are ever stacked against you.’
Trevor.... Hope you are well. Are you watching #WS and what are your thoughts of the starting pitchers? What does it take to get in the "zone" and stay there. Both performances in games #1 and #2 were sub-par. Is this the pressure? Also, how can one get a "baseball body"? Be in baseball shape. Learned that term watching Jordans documentary when he went to play minor league ⚾.....
Hey Trevor love the vids, i have a question im 16 years old and I haven’t played/thrown in 6 years and I want to become a pitcher I don’t really know what training i should do to condition my arm any tips to train my arm and get rid of elbow pain?
It’s a bit more nuanced when talking about position guys, cause lower level college hitters are questioned by scouts a lot more than D1 hitters. The pitching might not always be there. For pitchers though it’s pretty obvious, nasty stuff is nasty stuff at a D1 or a D3
Saying college baseball is the most fun you can have playing baseball is a real bummer for me as my school had a respectably good team, (4 provincials and 1 national title over 6 years) and I didn’t get a chance to play for them due to pandemic restrictions. And I’ve know finished my 2 year program so that ship has pretty well sailed 😐
As far as height what do you think the borderline height would be to play at the college level as a pitcher? You see a lot of shorter guys that are 5-6, 5-8, 5-11, that are still pumping high eighty’s to mid nighties but the average coach is gonna take the pitcher that is 6 foot 3 and consistently hits low ninety’s and higher
Bauer, I really like how much you love baseball. I think you should start your own league. It would probably be more fun to play in a league without the red tape politics.
Imagine an alternate league to the MLB with faster pitch counts, shorter games, regional divisions, and discounts on concessions and a chance for fans to talk with players before the game
@@michaelpihkal Maybe there will be less incentive for performance enhancing drugs. I always though the baseball, basketball, and hockey seasons were a little long

I was really becoming a big fan of Bauer before the "situation" put a hault to everything. It's none of our business what kind of relationships he keeps off the field. Regardless of whether he is legally at fault for anything, I think what a lot of fans find disappointing is that he takes zero responsibility for putting himself into this position and putting his team into such a bad situation.
And you would know this how? Did you speak to him about it? What he does or doesn't do in his private life is his business. He is one of the best pitchers in baseball and I am only disappointed that he wasn't able to finish out this season.
@@christophernuccio445 I read it. I don't think I missed anything. What I am saying is that we "fans" don't know what he has said to the Dodgers organization or his teammates. I am sure his legal team has advised him on what he should or shouldn't say publicly. In my opinion, he doesn't need to explain himself to the fans. And really, the last thing I want to hear from someone in the public eye is some kind of rehearsed speech written by someone from their PR team. But hey, thats just me.
