- Опубліковано 6 тра 2019
- This video is an amp demo for a 60's Silvertone Twin Twelve 1484
My goal is just just playing simple and let the amp tone come through.
Used in the Recording
1977 Fender Telecaster with 1965 Telecaster Pickups
Mics: sm 57 & Sennheiser 609
Daw: Cubase 10
No eq'ing. I only used limiter on the master bus to keep clipping down. =-=

That’s the first one of these that has ever sounded good. Dimed out it gets a stellar country tone.
Tony, I had one of these in the mid 60s. Sears guy wouldn't sell it to me on credit until I showed him I had the money to buy it outright, but wanted to establish credit. That got him excited and he let me pay half down and the rest on credit. Another band member had one, and for a while we used the two as a PA. When our leader talked me into buying a Farfisa Combo Compact (big mistake - I'm a guitar player!), I would sit on the speaker and put the head on the keyboard - controls facing me. Ah, the good old days!
Wow great story. I love using this amp in the studio. I'm surprised at how loud it is. Still great tone after all these years
And thanks for watching my video! 🎵🎶
Very lucky to have this as my first Amp 1970 .. The local Music store sold me LPB-1 ...Boom ... Then the Wah Master ... And finally The black 1973 EchoPlex EP-3 with Tubes !
Very cool. Love the exhoplex
Super sick!
Super-ace Tremelo!
Nice demonstration! Thanks
Thanks for checking it out 👍🏼
Great video!
Thanks for checking it out. Appreciate the comment :-)
With that Jack White picture, I know what brought you here!
Nice double-mic setup. I'm doing a lot of that these days. Mix those sounds!
Yep can really help with you highs and lows
So it's a very sparkly glorified fender
Either a speaker has a tickle in it....or a bypass cap is leaking a little.
I saw this amplifier on uncle Doug
James Hetfield pointed to one of these and it was his first amp. I assume it is good for playing Metallica.
Wow never thought it being used on Metallica stuff. I guess if you cranked it to ten used humbuckers you can get it there 🤘😳🤘
@@TonyMullinsMusician That was some dry humor on my part but who knows what band members play when they're not working.
@@qua7771 Lol.. hey when someone comments you just never know how they truly mean it sometimes hahaha. I just roll with it 😁
@@TonyMullinsMusician In the Metallica documentary, "Some Kind of Monster", James took time to mention that his was his first amp and he still has it in exclent condition.
The irony stuck with me. For one it is huge for a beginners first amp a bit out of character for the future of modern metal.
I had to look it up and stumbled upon your video. Thanks for uploading it.
Very cheaply made amp.
but still intact and sounds great 50 plus years later.
@@crankenstein and selling for $500 to $1000 dollars at that.
That’s why it’s the balls
