Thanks a bunch, that really helped out. It is interesting how people say the word coupons. I grew up saying it "coop-ons" like chicken coop. And others say "Q-pons". I guess its just where you grew up I guess. Thanks again

Hi Nancy. I've just started looking at selling on Etsy and have been curious about a coupon for a particular product or listing only. Can this be done? I see in step 3 in the video the coupon was for the entire shop. Thanks for your videos. I've learned a lot so far.

The problem I had with coupons is that a lady used it on an already discounted bundle even tho I stated that no other discount could be applied to my coupon. The bundle was already 25% off and she used the coupon and got another 25% off of the discounted listing. I told her about the stipulation and told her of the balance owed and she ignored me. I sell digitals, so she had the product and was able to take off without paying the balance she owed. Etsy doesn't seem to have a way to exempt listings from a coupon. So I would have to deactivate all bundle sales in the shop just to run a coupon. So I don't use them anymore. The honor system didn't work for me.

Thank you for your comment and your suggestion for a new video topic! A video on how to create a shop gift certificate sounds like a great idea, and I will definitely consider it for a future video.
In the meantime, I can give you some tips on how to make a gift certificate for your Etsy shop. One option is to use a graphic design tool such as Canva or Adobe Illustrator to create a custom gift certificate template. You can include your shop name and logo, as well as a space for the recipient's name and the amount of the gift certificate. Once you have your template, you can save it as a PDF file and email it to your customers, or print it out and send it via mail.

Hi Nancy, as a new seller on etsy your videos have been extremely helpful. My question is...once the code has been created for that month for first time buyers and posted on social media. Will it be a one time use only for them that first time they purchase or will they be able to continue to use it the entire month?
That’s a great question! They would be able to use it multiple times until the code expires or you change it

Hey Ana, So, you can offer buy 3 and get 1 free but please note you'll need to sell the same pricing for all of your products and you will see get charge for the renewal of the listing. What you can do is use a coupon code they will enter to get the 4th free. The coupon code will be set for the price of the product.

Hi Nancy…whilst searching how to create coupons came across your tutorial - seems very straight forward. Just wanted to clarify, I am yet to launch my Etsy shop but have had customers purchase from me direct via my social media profiles. With the option of sending them the link, so if I understand correctly, once I set up my store and implement this, I can then just send them a link via email or messenger (via Facebook or Instagram) and once they click on it, it will direct them to my store where they can then complete their purchase and the % off I am offering will automatically apply or do they need to enter a code (sorry if this was mentioned, I may have missed it) 😊
