i understand the need to trim the hair , but when it blowing wind or cold outside its better to have the longer hair then not? now that you did cut the hair, its time for neck sharf and the beanie, ! next time longer hair is an insulater for the body, ?
You are so blessed with a family that loves one another and enjoys doing wild things together! This is precious, please don't ever take it for granted.🥰
As always, a lot of “wow”, “whoa”, and “wish we were there”moments, sprinkled in with a few “yikes” and an “aww” at family heading in the opposite direction. Lovely video!
Wow love this video soooo much . Seeing areas I know from my time in Patagonia . Was a great high of joy in former memories of that area . Seeing views that were so spectacular back then and now seeing them in your videos was so awesome . Thanks again for sharing your wonderful journey and travel memories with us your over landing friends . And what a special family trip you all had together . Boy o boy do I ever need to go back again after seeing this video . And loved Matilda’s math part of this video got a great laugh out of it , your twos videos are always full of awesome informative and fun facts so thanks for always bringing us along for the journey . Cheers from Steve Stott in Sutherlin Oregon U.S.A. :) :) 😁:) :)😀🌎👍🏼🍻🥂
Oh amazing! Yes I can lmagine it must bring back good memories 😍 thank you so much for your weekly kind words! And thank you for traveling with us steve !
Amazing landscape. But what I love the most is the family spirit. Family is for me meaning your mother and brother , but also yor friend. Thank you for sharing this.
Another spectacular episode..shared with family. Nicks haircutting reminded me of my dad lining up my brothers and me to cut our hair. When I turned 12, I earned money to get it professionally cut. Special way to spend Christmas and New Years amid one of the most unique places on earth.
Hi Friends, we laugh and cry with you during the video we feel the same emotions for people we meet by chance, family and friends, difficult paths, breakdowns, good meals, landscapes, animals... Overland life in Defender makes people better!😄 have a nice and safe trip
Awesome video as always Nick and Matilda. The views were so spectacular and so epic and it must have been such a memorable trip with Nick's mom and brother along for this part of the trip and spending the holidays together. Can't wait to see y'all's next adventure to the end of the Pan-American Highway.
Très sympa cette vidéo, j’ai rattrapé mon retard des 2 dernières semaines. Paysages sublimes comme d’habitude, des moments en famille très sympa. Et quel talent de coiffeur Nick, bravo !!
Howdy Albies! What? I thought this was the Penguin channel! Where are the tuxedos? 😂 miss them already! Great show with the family…love the music editors work! Y’all are the best! Saddle up!
👍Again the mountain views incredible. Lakes just amazing. Loved shot of horses running wild and guanacos. Sad about wire fence. The cabin was soooo cool and Tom's note. Nice to hear Tom is still in the area. Still remember Tom's attempt to bake a potato🥔 in Jerry's engine. 😅. Mom sounds like she enjoyed solitude of nature, as I do. 🚙🎊🎉🎈WISHING YOU ALL HAPPY NEW YEAR WHEREVER YOU MAY BE.🎈🎉🎊 Hope mom and brother had safe trip back home. ♥☮North CA USA🕝Loved the haircuts.
Breathtaking landscapes. I love your family vibe. Very special spirit. For all that I was gutted by the indifference to the wildlife and the evil barbed wire. Man’s cruelty never ceases to amaze. It was the bane of the Wild West of the USA. Nevertheless, carry on.
Yes those barbed wires were awful… and we only showed two but there were so many… we were scouting to see if there was one still alive to help but none. A friend did help one a week before … it s so crazy those fences are there … thousands and thousands of km
I dont know why I was surprised this was your Christmas and new year video. I know you post after the time but thought only a couple weeks I guess. What nice surprise from Tom in the refugio! That mountain veiw, breathtaking! Wow! I am surprised all the land is private. Who owns it? Too bad for the wildlife and fences. Thank you for taking us on the strenuous hike. ❤
You are right ! We are usually two weeks behind. Just for when Nick s family was here we got a bit more delay so we could enjoy without having the editing to do. But normally you are right it s two weeks! We re not sure who owns the land but it s private huuuuuge areas really crazy
The jagged peaks were simply breathtaking. So happy you were able to spend some, what they call, quality time with your family. As always, thanks for sharing. Oh No. I have to run out and get more popcorn for the next episode. (I probably eat too much of it.....) BTW, Fondue is perhaps one of the most favorite ways to share a meal with friends and family.
How did I get to watch this on Wednesday? I re watched it😅 Then it disappeared? What an amazing hike! I love your adventurous family. Your Mom rocks that toyota...that was a high top, and i suspect it felt scary at times driving it. So happy you could spend the holidays with family! I am going to try to get my cousin to do this same trip! I am in awe of this area! I am also putting Chiloe Island on the route as well. Just finished Maya's Notebook by Isabel Allende. Haircuts on the road...fun!
Whooops! It really did not stay online long… I missed up the scheduling and ended up having to delete and republish… sorry for that … it was a beautiful week we loved it
I watched it Wednesday to and both times the gift from Tom was cool, keeping in contact like that. Nice to spend time with family. Ya I quit saying goodbye because of that little pinch. For years it’s always been see ya! Definitely looked like good times together.
Hey guys, following your adventures since Alaska, super cool as always but if this video was Christmas and New years then where are you now actually, on the 20th of Januar?🙂
Hey! Yes we always have 2 weeks delay on the actual date to allow for the editing that takes a lot of time and now we have a bit more because of the time with family . Soooo it s a bit of a surprise where we are but we might be preparing for the next continent ! 🤫🤫🤫 ccoming up in two weeks haha
Déjà vu from a couple of days ago? I feel like it’s the same video but different. Did I miss stuff from the first upload or is this a changed version? Happy to rewatch anyway. Cheers!
Saw this last Wednesday. It was awesome. Did your mother and brother get the tire replaced before they turned in the truck or did they just pay the bill for it at the time of turn in?
@@NextMeridianExpedition That is good. It wasn't their fault the tire came apart on the rim. Perhaps it wasn't a good brand of tire? I know all terrain tires can be expensive. Also, if one more did that, it would have ruined the entire trip, depending on where it happened. I hope the rental company apologized.
If the company has a lot of customers who go where you went, they should use bigger and better tires. It was a blowout waiting to happen, and if it happened on a dangerous road, someone might have died. There are some very crazy roads in Chile and Bolivia where the road is built into a cliff and it drops right off. They are built for one vehicle, but two can get by if they are almost touching. Sometimes one has to back up a long distance to let one pass. They call them DEATH ROADS. There was a group that biked over one of those roads and the brakes on a girl's bike failed and she went over the cliff. Ouch! I wonder if the family sued the bike rental company and got any money? It wouldn't bring their daughter back, but it might help in some way.
