Oh I forgot to mention that I enjoyed your talk. I have friends that are going through a similar situation with a couple family members not accepting their same sex marriage. They now have a beautiful 10 month old baby girl and that is all that matters. They have created their own happiness. Beautiful, Victoria. Thank you. Some days watching a video of yours is the joy I go to. I deal with Chronic Illnesses that involve daily pain and exhaustion. I, too achieved high education but am not able to work. As you can imagine, there has been a lot of loss associated with that; however, my greatest pain has been the lack of compassion, support, and actual belief from those I thought were my closest. Learning what people are really made of during such a difficult challenge has been downright devastating. Many can't understand how difficult it is to cut that negativity and those negative (and now truly toxic) people out of your life. You assume if they love you, they won't judge you...simply not true for all. Thank you for again reinforcing some of the most difficult and important steps you need to take to truly free yourself because for me, if I cannot free myself of these invisible chains, I will not heal myself. Thanks to your beautiful family as well. I appreciate the courage of your willingness to share your story and life on a daily basis. 💗
