This one went well. STARE gave me two greens and a yellow. BLUNT moved the T and proved that it was SxATx. At that point the only fifth letter that seemed to make sense was H, and the only letter that made sense second was W. So SWATH felt right. It was.

I hope I can find this later; I'm unable to see yesterday's post. I tried the sorting option, and I still couldn't find it. There were a few times, where I could see the post twice. Strange computer. I’m still thinking “green”. Especially on Sunday. “Aster” and “doily” gave me “A-S-T” only. So many words fit the bill. 14 were already solutions, and 5 were eliminated by “doily”. Then I made a new list. Stack, stamp, stank, staph and swath. I went with “stamp”. So, a “4” for me today.

How do you know that SNATH is a word without knowing SWATH? A snath (or snathe) is the handle of a scythe, and a scythe cuts a swath (or swathe). 😜

Once again, I changed my mind on a guess, and it was the wrong thing to do today. On the third guess today I had "Swath" already typed in and ready to go, when I changed my mind and went with "Shaft". Swath would have given me the win in 3, but instead I got a 4 today.
