Time at his mothers house matches the caregiver’s testimony. 15-20 minutes. Later, AM tried to coerce her into 30-40 minutes. This is what upset her so much. Lying about stealing money is bad. Attempting to deceive about your alibi is damning.

Alec's biggest problem is that he told the police that he did not go down to the kennel where they were murdered. He has three friends with no axe to grind against him that have identified his voice at the murder scene within mere minutes before his wife and son were murdered. He lied about that too. That is huge. Evidence of him at the scene within minutes of the murders. Huge. To me that is what the conviction will hinge on.

I cannot see him being innocent either.
But I'm entertaining the *possibility* - for now - that he might have had someone else do this.
We've heard pretty damning testimony from people who knew him well, relating to his financial crimes in particular. They gave no indication of willingness to cover for him, and their suspicions have been raised.
So it's kinda interesting that some of those do also say he appeared distraught after the murders.
If he's faking it, that's psychopathy, and I'm here to believe it.
But is it possible that he tried to arrange some sort of shakedown/robbery that went wildly wrong?
Again: in no way do I believe the guy is wholly innocent.
No chance. Just the method & type of guilt I'm considering.

I think he wore that raincoat when he murdered them, rinsed it with the hose. He washed some clothes and coat. Then he moved the guns in it later. If they could find his original clothes and those guns, then they would have it nailed. I wonder what they have done to look for those? There are so many places he could have put them. Around here businesses have dumpsters. I can think of a million places to toss guns where i live and no one would ever find them. But he had to have been in shock at his deed, and had a time frame for his plan and alibi. I think he did not have time to plan well, though after he made the decision. Did they search the parents' house? Once things cooled, he could have moved them again. Either he did it or he hired someone to help, but another person would have changed what was going on in the videos and texts. Maybe footvabd tire prints. I just don't see anyone else doing it, but helping him away from the scene, maybe.

Didn't the caregiver say he brought that cobalt blue color ( hard to forget that bright color) either tarp or raincoat into the house @ 6:30 am the day after the murders or was it like 3 days after the murders. The color is the obvious thing here & the material, waterproof.
She said it was a tarp/raincoat- tarp to the defense / raincoat to the prosecution. It was the color she remembers clearly, not what "it" was.
Found upstairs in the closet where he put it @ 6:30 am- which he had never done before.
I think the prosecution needs to call her back. She is an important witness to both the timestamp & that item found upstairs. Also wish they would call the brother of hers to testify what she said in the phone call she made to him- cause she was upset when Alex told her it was 30-40 min he stayed at the house- her brother is in law enforcement.

What makes you think he’s going to take the stand at all? His coworkers described him as a good “bullshitter” so a jury might not believe anything he says. Also, the caretaker said it took her 5 minutes to let him in. 5 minutes to go downstairs and open a door is excessive. Her idea of time could be off.

Yeah. There is proably a bigger story here. So far we know that he was, for some reason, stealing money from his law firm and clients but I'm confused as to how these things could be motive for murdering his family. How could doing that be a solution to the problems he had created for himself? Apparently, the prosecution thinks that there is a connection or they are using this to sway the jury. Hopefully, the jury will not convict him of murder on the basis that he's a thief.

Prosecution is establishing the exposure or threat of exposure of his financial misdeeds was motive. Witnesses have testified that the loss of M and P did distract from concerns they'd had about AMs behavior, or in the case of the boat case, from the investment in getting as much money from him as possible. After the loss of M and P, he was regarded as an at-risk victim (no longer a villain) who needed to be cared for. I forget which witness (I think his partner) said they never suspected AM until the roadside fiasco. But yes I hope we get an explanation some day of where all the money went.

They point out holes in the State evidence more than show what the State could do better.. You know? I like the other lady who is covering this. She seems smart and unbiased. And to be honest, it is hard to stay unbiased in this case with overwhelming evidence against the accused.

Can anyone tell me how he managed to commit such a messy crime with out getting blood splatter and stippling on him, we’ve all seen how jfks head exploded from one riffle shell now multiple this by a factor of about 100 times for the shotgun to the head of Alex’s kid, I’ve seen self inflicted head shots from a shotgun and everything within 15 ft is literally covered in blood and brain matter so how did mr murdough not get so much as a speck of blow back
