I lost 50lbs on freestyle and got off track when it changed to colors. I started several times and never could get back into the groove. I started this program on Monday and I've been staying pretty much on track and Ann looking forward to continuing!
Yay! That's great that you've gotten in the groove this week!!! 😀
Thanks! I agree about getting everyone back on the same page.
Yes!! That's what I'm loving most about this! :)
I’m very excited about beans and lentils being zero points! If you’ve never tried Daal, (red lentil soup) you have to try it! It’s the most comforting food.
I haven't tried that! To be honest, lentils is one of those foods that I always never really ate for some reason. But sounds like I need to try them!! I LOVE beans, but with my UC, I can't eat a lot of them. 😭 I'm going to look up the Daal recipe! Thanks!
So how many points are we allowed on this weight watcher program?
I'm really happy about the new program. I was losing interest in WW because the last plan just didn't seem to work for me. I made goal on the blue plan and now I'm back up 16 lbs from goal. I hope I'm able to get back to goal on this new plan. I'm also looking forward to your recipes again. 😊 I'm excited! YAY!!!
Thanks so much! I am with you in that I'm up in the last two years, but still down overall about 40 pounds, so I'm still happy with that! Sounds like this new plan is just what we needed!!! 💕💕😊😊
Hi Kristi
Definitely I agree living a long healthy life is what matters. I don't do weight watchers anymore but I still love to watch and follow you. Love your meal preps and information. Hope yall had a happy Thanksgiving. And praying all is well. Take care.
Thanks so much!! Our Thanksgiving was great! Hope yours was as well. 💕
@@PlanningUsHealthy Thank you and yes we had a nice one. Oh yeah this is Tinee wasn't sure if you remembered. I changed my name at top. 😇
@BossLady Ohhh, Tinee!! Hi, my friend! I was wondering where you were! LOL I'll have to remember your new name! :)
Thank you for your videos - I am loving your content!
Thanks so much, Melanie! I'm so glad you're enjoying everything! Thanks for watching. 😊😊
I hope you like the new program; it seems that it will be a nice fit for you. I wish you all the best! 💕
Thanks Tracy!! I hope so too!! I think incorporating what I learned in Intuitive Eating and also combining it with higher protein is really going to help. 💕
I've missed watching your videos! ❤️❤️ Love you!
Awww!!! I've missed seeing you on here D2!! Love you!!!! 💕💕
It took a few days for my app to completely update. I went from 16 points to 19 on Monday & Tuesday. By Wednesday it went up to 23 dailies. Here’s hoping this is a kickstart to getting back on track! 🤞🤞
You must have had quite a few zero-point foods on Personal Points, huh? We have the same dailies now! ;) Yes, let's kickstart this!!! 💕
@@PlanningUsHealthy I had potatoes, oats and brown rice.
@@debkorn66 Oh wow! I wonder why you only had 16 points with that! Interesting! Or did you mean the new plan started you at 16?
@@PlanningUsHealthy I had 16 for Personal Points with eggs, chicken, potatoes & oats as some of my zero point foods. So I lost some zero point foods but gained 7 dailies. 😊
@@debkorn66 Ohhhh, gotcha!! Okay, that makes sense. 😉😉
If there is one thing that remains the same with Weight Watchers is that sooner or later, it changes. Sometimes for the good - and I think, overall, for the good. I remember the first version - I started going to Weight Watchers when I was 14 and that was one year after it was founded. The first version of the diet was healthy, to a degree and to the extent of what "healthy" meant back then. But it was horrendous. Liver once a week. ONCE A WEEK. I don't think I've eaten any liver since then. Fish five times a week. No oil, no margarine, no mayonnaise, and I don't recall ever using sprays oils or margarine back then. You could have fatty meats a couple times a week - like a hot dog, but there was no bun, no rolls, no flour, zero-zip-nada. Plain light bread was allowed in very limited quantities. One typical take to school lunch was 6 oz of tuna - a whole can - mixed with yellow mustard on 2 slices of Wonder Bread. SIX ounces - one whole can. It was a big sandwich!. The diet was sustainable for a while, but as a teenager, hard for me to follow through. Since then, I've joined and re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-joined as I have continued my journey of emotional eating. I was doing pretty well with it in the late 90's, and almost got to my goal. But then it changed. No more using so many protein, fruit, vegetable, carbs. And that was working. Now we had points. MUCH more complicated back then - you had a points calculator and used it for everything you ate. No barcode scanners. I completely lost my way. I had a very hard time making the transition and ended up yo-yo'ing back up, to more than I weighed when I started. Which has been the story of my life. I should mention that when I first went to weight watchers at 14, I wasn't more than maybe 15 pounds overweight. (But this was "obese" to my mother who had a restricting eating disorder) 60 years later, I'm over 200. In the mean time, I've become interested in loving myself without placing conditions on my body size, on mindful eating, and what drives my emotional eating, which has helped re-order my thoughts about food and eating. And I'm taking it slow getting used to using the points and learning to meal plan. I found your You Tube channel, and I love it. It is really helping me and I have hopes that this program will help me with my disordered eating. If I lose weight (and I know I will) that's a bonus. But the focus has to be, for me, on what constitutes a healthy daily routine without lapsing into hatred of my body. Thanks so much, Kristi, for your input and your very realistic, down to earth style. I believe that the current WW plan allows for a good bit of flexibility, and is also consistent with a mindful eating approach. Until they change it again! 😆
I absolutely LOVE this!!! Isn't it sad how long it takes us to figure things out!? I'm honestly so happy right now just taking things day by day and not being in a hurry to lose the weight. It's about being healthy, and health doesn't equate to being thin necessarily. We're learning that now, and I think a lot of the medical field is finally learning that as well. Everybody has a "set point" - a point where their body is happy and content. Unfortunately that's usually a number that's above that dumb BMI chart, so they say, oh, you need to lose weight - then comes the restricting, and the cycle. No more of that for me!! I'm lucky to have a doctor who is on board with intuitive eating. So, she's perfectly fine with me combining the principles of that with Weight Watchers, so that if I lose, it's at a slow pace, but it's more about health. We've got this my friend!!! Love your attitude!! 💕
I went from 22 points to 29
I’m on maintenance
I haven’t eaten that many points unless I am traveling or out to dinner
Maintenance makes a difference, but they must have based it off of the zero point foods you were on previously maybe?
So does everyone get 23 points?
No, it's different for each person. It's based on a number of factors like age, height, etc.
Can I get my number without joining?
@@janetleight8788 I dont believe so. I have heard that the Healthi app is similar to WW points. I'm not sure if they have a free version but I have heard they are cheaper than WW.
Where do I go to find out how many points I'm allowed for the day?
@@janetleight8788 For WW it will ask you the questiins when you sign up. For the Healthi app, I'm not sure as I dont use that. I have only heard about it from some people who say they use it.

The same thing happened 2me when it changed to colors .. I drive truck OTR and run team so I don’t get a chance to go to meetings so anyone can help please
Oh, wow, Tammy! That would definitely be a challenge for me! But it can be done!! Planning is key in my book!
I haven’t joined WW in a long time. When u join online can u still go to local meetings and is everything u need online? Can ur join by going into a center?
They have an online version and a workshop (meetings) version. If you join online and choose just the online one, then you can't also go to meetings. (It's cheaper doing just online). But if you go to the meetings, you get the weekly meeting and you also get access to the app and everything that the online users get.
Where do I go to find out how many points I'm allowed each day?
When you join WW, they have you take a questionnaire and you get the points that way.
Hi eberyone. I just joined WW today and got 29 daily points and 28 weekly. From what I’m seeing other people have it seems like 29 is a lot for a day. I’m confused how it’s calculated but does 29 seem like a lot to everyone who is a pro?? Any help explaining this would be welcomed!
Hi Lauren. It's not necessarily high. It's all based on a number of factors, such as age, weight, whether we're diabetic, etc. You could always contact a Weight Watchers coach through the app just to double check that it's all in there correctly.
@@PlanningUsHealthy thank you!
I loved the Personal Points program. I have to eat only low fodmap foods, which eliminates a lot of the zero point foods. Don’t know if this new plan will work for me.😢
Awww I'm sorry, Mary! I know what you mean though. When I made the comment about having to try it out because some of the foods on the list I can't eat - that's what I meant - I have to be careful with beans and corn (I've been attempting popcorn again - so far so good). But I just add extra of the zero point foods that I can eat to make up for those I can't. Hope that made sense.
Kristi, I feel the same as you, optimistic and happy about a returning sense of community. I wanted to let you know that I read an article on the Emily Bites blog and she said all the recipe links that content creators have been using will naturally turn over to the new program, so you shouldn’t have to do anything with your recipes. I hope that is accurate, but she seemed to be pretty spot on with all the other information. So excited that you are returning to Weight Watchers.😊
Thanks so much, Barb! And yes, if we all keep the link to the WW app on the recipe itself, then when you get to the WW app, it will automatically update. I may just change the word on my button since it says something about Personal Points. I'll have to check out Emily Bites article! Thanks so much! :)
New sub. I just joined and I did it for the new program. My best ww program was “winning points” back in the early 2000’s. I feel this is the closest plan to that! Also I’m happy to be a part of this community! I plan to vlog my ww to lifetime journey because I’ve literally quit everything I’ve ever started and I’m so done with that! So, let’s get lifetime baby! For real, what an accomplishment for us! Watch 🎉also I’m not drinking alcohol and that ALWAYS holds be back from achieving my fitness goals!
Hi Ginny, and welcome to the PUH family!! Love your enthusiasm!! Yes, we've got this!! And yes, alcohol is one thing that hindered me in the past. I had to give up any alcohol due to having ulcerative colitis - alcohol wreaks havoc on me! Good for you for giving it up too! Let's do this!! :)
I hate nonfat cottage cheese. Won’t eat it
I have found I can add it to a few recipes to bulk up the protein, but definitely won't eat it plain! I LOVE my Good Culture!! 😋😋
I’m on the fence, I quit in June because the program wasn’t helping me, but I’ve gained about 25lbs back of the 50 I lost so I guess I need it! This time of year is so hard 🙂
I'm right with you. I think it was around June that I started looking into the Intuitive Eating, but now I realize that as much as I do love that, it's going to take me some time to be able to truly live that. I'm up about 20 from what I had lost in 2019, and I certainly don't want it all coming back! But you're so right about this time of year. I WILL be making holiday cookies with the grandkids, and I will be eating some! But I'm hoping between intuitive eating and points, I'll control myself! ;) We can do this!!!
Looking good girl
Thanks so much, Shirley! 😊
The ff cottage cheese is awesome in scrambled eggs!
Ohhhh YES!! I love throwing a spoonful of cottage cheese in with my eggs! Never thought about using ff for that! Thanks for the idea! 😀😀
Do zero points food mean you can have as much as you want
No, not at all. You just don't have to count the points because they are better options. It's still about moderation.
@@PlanningUsHealthy ok thank you. I have never done weight watchers but I am thinking about it. How much does it cost
@@nanascott1342 You're welcome. I do just the online version - I don't go to actual workshops/meetings - the online version is $20 per month. As with any weight loss program, it has its pros and cons. You just have to find what works for you. I have found if I stop focusing on weight loss and focus more about health, it's made a huge difference for me.
That was a a lot great information I made the apple pie oats delicious
Thanks so much, Rose! Oh, I'm glad you liked them!! Skinnytaste recipes never disappoint! 😊😊

💕💕
I find it very interesting that in the US you found Personal Points to be divisive. I don’t think it’s like that here in the UK because great emphasis is put on a sense of community by WW online. I believe we’re going to get the changes in a couple of weeks time. I’m not a great fan of Personal Points either and it’s hilarious that we’re going back to being Weight Watchers. When WW was first introduced it seemed as if no one was actually allowed to mention weight despite the fact that we were all there because of it. Interesting times.😊
That is interesting! I may feel it more because it became so hard to share recipes. The thing is we are all different and we do have to each eat differently based on our own body needs, but it just felt like people were alienated a little. I'm not sure what made it be that way either. I totally agree about how we weren't supposed to mention weight when they changed to WW. LOL I just think they were trying not to be known as a weight loss program, to be honest. Interesting times for sure!!
I rejoined WW because of the change. I loved Freestyle and had good results with it. Personal points just didn’t work for me…just couldn’t get on board with it. Looking forward to reuniting with the community. Also working on a protein goal so double tracking in MFP for a while at least.
Thanks so much, Sandy!! Let's do this!! 💞
SO glad they also decided to go back to using the Weight Watchers name. That WW business was just stupid. I've always been proud to let people know I was doing Weight Watchers.
I totally agree!!
Canada just got new program on the 30th November, strange they would not coordinate with the US when the WW community on social media is so connected, glad we are all on the same page now
I agree!! I thought that was so strange! I'm glad we're all back together now! 😊
Can you tell me if the is a Quick Add and where can I find it?
Hi Susan! If you click in the search bar as if you are going to search for a food, it will be right under that after you click.
Thank you so much! I am so excited to be back as one big group again. You have no idea how huge you have been in my journey. When I need a boost, I put your videos on auto play and it gets me back in the groove. Love your recipes, many are my go to meals, so thank you! Your channel and the program change are all I need
Awww...thank you so much, Rachel!! I really want to try to find more time for more chat/motivational videos. I think those help me just as much as they help you all! :) I really appreciate your kind words!! 💞
I had quit… I need some structure. I didn’t like personal points. I think I will sign up again I feel that at counting calories I’m hearing towards too many sweets and I don’t like it cause my pants are tight lol. My pants don’t like it 😂.
Haha - I like that - I'm going to start saying that - my pants don't like it! I completely know what you mean though!
I’m happy that there’s only ONE plan. I’m looking forward to when I can go on Connect and no one is complaining. 🙂
Thanks so much! I haven't been on Connect in a while! I may have to check it out again now! :)
I agree it’s a lot like Freestyle, and I was very successful with Freestyle. I do wish the points had a more distinctive name than “Points”, because when we find recipes online it won’t be clear which plan the points refer to.
Oh, that's very true! I never thought about that with older recipes that aren't updated!
Thanks for the video! I’m not particularly happy about the change because Blue didn’t fit my lifestyle for long term success as well as Personal Points. I’m going to delay updating my app until it is required in Dec and will then do some manual hacks to keep my potatoes and brown rice as zero point.
Totally understand! I was just playing around with the app this morning, realizing that most of us can all make it work for whatever lifestyle we live. I think the main thing is the weeklies - that's how I make things work for me since I can't have some of the zero point foods. I think it's like any weight loss program - we have to determine if it's a fit for us or not. I hope you're able to make it work for you!!
Yes! Unity is key for success..glad you’re back..looking forward to your recipes points friendly..
Thanks so much, Yolanda! 💕
I totally agree. When Weight Watchers went to WW I feel like that was when they took a wrong turn. They were trying to be something that they were not. And then splitting the community into fragments put the nail in the coffin for their business, in my opinion. I am really looking forward to being one community again! Would love to see a colab of you and some favorite UA-camrs ❤️
Exactly! I think they were trying to get away from being known as a "weight loss program" and wanted to be more about wellness. But there's no getting around it - they will always be a weight loss program. And that's okay - they are one of the top programs, so they should just stay with that. Thanks so much!! 💕💕
I should say you as in you are one of my favorite UA-camrs and would love you to go in with a couple others for a colab
@@Baknnana Awww..I appreciate that! You've been supporting me for a LONG time! 🥰 I used to do collabs in the beginning but I had to take a break from them for personal reasons. ;) Looking forward to getting back to some maybe after the first of the year!
I was ready for a change and I've know so many people who had great success on Freestyle.im excited!
I'm so glad you're excited, Janet!! I hope you do amazing!
I just hope they remember us diabetes. I feel lost because I don’t get the same foods as a non diabetic. I honestly feel left out.
I totally understand. I don't think you'll be left out though (or at least I hope not) - I think a lot of the bloggers are still leaving that clickable link - so when you see a recipe on a blogger who shares Weight Watchers points, you just click the link and it brings you straight to your WW app and gives you your points based on your app settings. Hope that makes sense.
Do you use the weeklies for extra food in your meals. Or for snacks?
Honestly, I use them differently each week. I don't really plan them out - just use them as I need them. Some days I just go a little over my points so I use them for that - sometimes if I know I have an event coming up, I may use a bunch in one day. I'm planning on some upcoming chat videos on working the program - I'll add this to the list! ;)
Kristi, I have three of those glass microwave popcorn poppers. Got them through QVC in a bundle of three on sale, the smaller container size. I have never had luck with using mine. I did exactly as instructions stated. Possibly you could give me your advice. I love the convenience of using microwave for popper. Being I am Type2 Diabetic air popcorn is a great snack. Thank you for all your wonderful videos. God bless you. Love from Ky. 😇💞
Hi Tamson! I haven't ever had any issues. I try to listen for when the kernels are popping about 4 seconds apart and then I stop it. Sometimes it leaves some kernels unpopped but I figure that's better than burnt popcorn! LOL I think some microwaves differ too though. Thanks so much, my friend! 💞

Absolutely! I will always try to keep points, calories, and macros so it helps everyone, no matter the plan. 😊
I love the ww channel folks I’ve found and hope to find more
There are a lot of great ones! :)
We didn’t update in Canada so when I called WW they told me it would be later this year but they can’t give out any information about it. Bummer
Ohh, what a bummer is right!!! Well, you can follow along with us! 😉💞
Thanks Kristi, that’s what I thought I would do just follow along.
I’m excited for the new program
So glad!! 😊😊
im very excited for the change. mine didnt change over until mid day today and i had everything for my day tracked so i rolled with it with some slight changes. i also have never seen a change after one year but from different groups im its good seeing people getting excited again with the change instead of the usual dreading it happening
I absolutely agree!!! I hear so much more positive this time around! 😊💕
Thank you and on another note, your eyebrows look great 😊
Thanks Diane!! I always have to ask my daughter for pointers!! Haha - gotta try to keep with the times! 🤣
