Thank you all for your wonderful feedback. We worked very hard on these videos. This show will always be special to us because Jay Murphy passed away three days after we shot this. But thanks to UA-cam he will always be with us. As you see in the video he was a really great guy! We will miss him.
Great video and great race car. Two flags, one for the founder: Damián Mateu Bisa and one for the engineer: Marc Birkigt. The King Alfonso XIII was a Gentlemen drive and ambassador of the brand. Regards from Europe Barcelona Spain.
Fantastic automobile. 80 mph in 1911 had to be one of the fastest motor vehicles out there. I can see why this incredible machine won races of that era. Marc Birkigt is a legend in early automobile design and engineering and many of his design features were copied, re-engineered, improved upon, and installed on many other automobiles.
What an improvement from the first under the hood videos. Lot more thoughtful about the details and particularities of the car. I've appreciated that. Congratulations for the nice work and thank you!
Hi there! I wish there were plans to continue with this series, but MAM management has decided to end the project. Jay Murphy (he guy with the mustache) passed away just two days after this show was filmed. There isn't a day I don't think about him. I'm so glad we were able to shoot this program on the day we did. Now Jay will always be with us, no matter where in the world we might be. I only wish you could have seen the out-takes! He was one of the funniest guys you could ever hope to meet. Thank you for your kind words. We worked very hard to provide you with our best efforts. Please do come visit once the pandemic is over. The museum is spectacular, and I would really enjoy meeting you. All the best. Stay Safe, Stay Happy. Stay healthy Danny Soukup Director/Producer of the Under the Hood Extended Tour Series
I enjoyed the up close tour of this piece of automotive history. The early automotive engineers were truly gifted. The quality of the video reflects the taste and style of the museum. Well done.
And, frankly sir, WERE OUT OF THEIR EVER-LOVIN' MINDS!!! Please do come visit us once we reopen. I'd love to meet you. Danny Soukup Producer/Director Mullin Under the Hood Extended videos
But do they also have a 1903 Spyker 60HP, the world's first 6 cylinder, and first four wheel drive, and first four wheel breaks. A 1905 Spyker 12/16-HP Double Phæton, or ANY original Spyker for that matter.
Ah, you got us there! No Spykers. The reason might be that except for one or two cars (the Tatra comes to mind), everything we have is French. Spyker, of course is Dutch. That said, Spyker did make a lot of really interesting cars, including the modern Spykers.

Les Hispano-Suiza sont des automobiles fantastiques , merci.

Probably the fastest “production” car you could buy at the time but you should look into the Blitzen Benz if you’re curious about engineering in 1910
Thanks for sharing more please.

Great cars. That boring person needs to be replaced with someone who really knows about European cars.
