The XPS-30 starts with the great feature set of the popular XPS-10 and adds many powerful enhancements that performing players will love. Stage essentials like the acoustic and electric piano sound even better, and the internal waveform set can be easily expanded with free sound collections from Roland’s Axial website. The selection of regional instrument sounds has been increased as well, and more user samples can be imported thanks to the doubled onboard memory capacity. There’s also a built-in eight-track pattern sequencer for capturing songs and ideas, plus a convenient mic input with dedicated vocal effects.

Just bought the Roland XPS 30. As much as I am overjoyed, equally dismayed am I at this moment. Let me explain. The last keyboard I have used (I still have it) is the Casio CTX 9000in. One of the greatest feature in the Casio CTX 9000in is its ability to save entire registration banks to a pen drive. (In this case a registration bank is a collection of 8 patches pertaining to any particular song that I have already saved to the keyboard). Now we Indian musicians play a lot of songs live requiring rapid tone/patch changes for each song....so I have ready registration banks for about 200 songs in which, each patch is carefully crafted with the right amount of chorus, split, layers, reverb, delay and other dsp effects, etc and saved as a part of any registration bank. I have all the banks loaded up in my pen drive and while performing, I can import the entire registration bank of any song into the keyboard in a fly thru a pen drive inserted in the keyboard...which gives me unlimited memory to load any number of user banks in any given bank. This again means no messing around..copying..changing..etc. This feature alone has been a lifesaver for me all this while. But to my despair, after three days of trying out every trick in the book, I could not get around the Roland XPS 30 to do the same. I tried the Juno Di Editor/Librarian, Judo DS Tone Manger too to work out a way, but failed to come up with anything substantial. I feel so lost right now!! All the XPS 30 offers is 10 banks containing 100 tones/performances maximum at any given time in the registration banks. "NOT" enough at all for my needs and again which cannot be customized according to my requirements. Should I stick with my Casio and let go of the XPS 30 or is there any workaround you could provide to suffice my requirements? I honestly am loving the XPS 30 as I have never experienced a synth before and it would be a shame to let it go. But after hours of searching the internet...and trying out everything possible...my progress is NIL! My heart is sinking just thinking of letting it go! :( Can anyone...anyone...please help me out??

No. Loops will play through pen drive. While playing loops you can not use tones through pads.

It has patch remain function but unfortunately no effects remain, you can use your performance in pads, there will be no effects cut
