Chris, I don’t know what your occupation was when you lived in Pennsylvania, but you seem to know how to do anything, building your cabin. You are saving loads of money. Good job that the two of you have done with this cabin.
One of my all time favorite UA-cam channels. Been watching since the beginning and never miss an episode. I'm blown away by how talented you both are. Not only do you know how to build an incredible house, with complex angles, etc (in freezing temperatures) but you know how to shoot an edit beautiful videos. I honestly think there's nothing you two can't do. You also have nice energy and a peaceful vibe. Thanks for sharing👍
So enjoyable watching two nice young people building their home. Completely understandable to use the small woodstove you were given by your folks for now, so glad you're going to be nice and warm. I'm so excited for you all. You two are very good with each other and appreciate very much following you, be safe. Prayers from California
You two should get a "Masters of DIY" certificate from somewhere. They key -- which you have done throughout -- is to know what should be done when ... i.e., A before B, AB before C, ABC before D, etc etc, especially working your climate, and then doing each correctly. Great work and best wishes!
Never can express how good you two work together, I’ve been following your UA-cam channel for a long time and look forward to seeing you guys building your home….
Good job with the forethought and planning. Saving space in the closet, the mess after insolation, and warmer work space; are all pluses. You may be surprised about the time and amount of heat you get from that little stove. Looks good.
The stove doesn't look silly at all. Yes, I understand that it is too small for the space, but better the stove you have than no heat at all. I'm sure that it will at least take the edge off of the cold and make working inside far more comfortable. Coldness slows one down and it should contribute magnificently in helping you keep up a good healthy pace. A very wise decision in my opinion and as always, I am very impressed with the quality and general tidiness of the installation.
Now lights and heat provided, I am glad you managed to reach this point of the construction so the winter wont be able to stop the progress. Next insulation, electric, plumbing, flooring, painting and the bathroom, then furniture and all done. :) keep up the good work and the cool videos.
You guys are a awesome team. Chris scares the daylight out of me, but he is so brave and does excellent construction. I love the stove. So cute and cleaned up so nice.
Now with the wood stove you can cook your supper while you are working. A win win situation. It was neat seeing you look out of the roof. The view would be great if you had a window up there. Take care and stay safe. Pat on the heads for the pups. All the best from Petawawa, Ontario.
Yes! Can't wait to get windows in the end walls! We are hoping to have them in this February 🙏. I set up a bed for the pups by the wood stove so they can hang out and stay warm while we work!
Chris, I really admire you for all of that high ladder work. I could never have done that. Thanks to both of you for sharing all of your experiences. I look forward to your next video. This is very exciting.
You are a brave man!!! Years ago I needed to get up on my roof so my neighbor offered his extension ladder, very nice gesture... BUT!!! YIKES!!! It's only a one story home, but that ladder was so loose, flimsy, and it sagged and dipped with each step. I just couldn't do it, if that ladder can't hold 150 pounds without all that wiggedly wobbly twisty stuff then thanks but no thanks!!! My project had to wait till I got my own ladder, not afraid of heights, but those unplanned landings are a pain!!! Literally! So glad you had the ladder tied off at the bottom, smart and brave!!! Good job!!! 👍
You have come so far on your build. I’m glad you now have some heat while you work. Thank you so much for taking us along on your journey. I like that stove. Reminds me of our first wood stoves. Stay warm. Hope to see you again soon. Take care from Cape Cod✌️🇺🇸
Your channel is awesome and you guy's are to! Love the channel and the filming and editing, the effort put in is very obvious! The diy on all the tasks you undertake, bravo!!! Hat's off. Several clap emoji's!!!
Your stove is beautiful and providing heat! Great job on the install and looking forward to your next major project... whatever it might be. Till then.
Looks great!!! We recently had a snow and ice storm come through Eastern Kentucky and lost power to an all electric house. It was really nice to fire up a propane heater for a while. I can only imagine how nice it would be to have heat in Alaska!
Hi from Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺. I love watching you guys. I’m a tad jealous. I’d love to live off grid away from everybody, maybe one day 😁. I can’t wait to see your cabin when it’s finished, it looks like it’s going to beautiful 💞

Katie mentioned in one of their earlier videos that she was a prison guard and Chris was a heavy equipment mechanic.
It's really coming together and now to be able to work inside all winter is great.

Awesome ! You do an absolutely amazing job on everything you have done with this cabin!❤

GIANT STEP! I think it looks great. That’s a big deal getting heat in there. So much more comfortable to work and just hang out. Great job guys! 👏🏻👏🏻
ABSOLUTELY! Knocking off the chill helps so much! Frozen fingers and toes are no fun...
Congratulations you have heat.
Thank you!
