Here's the little book i've been working on! If you do get it, let me know your thoughts! mariushugh.myshopify.com/products/work-experience-reflection-diary-how-to-get-through-your-gem-interview
Hi Marius, I'm looking at applying to Warwick this year but don't have any HCA work. I have an interview for a role with the Priory Group, and I wanted to know how long their training period was, because Warwick only counts hours after the training period.
hey I have finished my year 1 Biomedical science just now and I'm not sure when to apply in year 2 of Biomedical Sciences. I have been getting 69%-74% and hopefully I get 70% overall in my degree. I have done UCAT so many times but I didnt see any improvements in that either (do you do tutoring for the UCAT). I am also doing work experience in a care home as a carer but I don't know if that counts as work experience.. do you know any places I could apply to for work experience? because I have applied to so many and nobody even got back to me. Thank you for the video btw your videos are very helpful.
Hey, so we apply for graduate medicine when we start year 3. Just like in A level when you apply at the beginning of yr 13 with UCAS. Working as a carer is perfect, if u want more experience you can talk to your local GP or hospital and ask them. Tell them you are applying to graduate medicine and would love to get some experience in a hospital setting. In terms of UCAT I would highly recommend Medentry, however, you don't need to start studying for the UCAT until about 3 - 6 weeks before your test.
Please advise me on how to get into med school. I graduated from a southwest Asian country. I have a low gpa in bachelor's degree. Can I use gpa for master's degree? Or do you have any advice for me?
Hi Marius, I hope you are well. I would really appreciate your help. I’m hoping to apply for GEM this year at Warwick and I volunteer at my local hospital. I have roles like greeting people and briefly interacting with patients but I saw Warwick’s website and it states across two places with hands on experience. What sort of work experience shall i ask my volunteers manager for ? The most I will be alllowed to do is feed patients on the ward and take part in dementia workshops. I am also a non science graduate so I won’t be able to get a job as a HCA or doing anything sciencey please help
So I'm currently in the second and final year of my MSc, and I'm doing clinical placement in the NHS (28 weeks total). Will this count towards work experience or not? I'm just confused because this isn't paid work, it's part of my degree; but at the same time I am working in an NHS hospital. Thank you :)
Hi. I’m applying to Warwick this year. I’ve noticed on the UCAS for you only submit one reference. I have a number of references from my work experience- how do I get those to Warwick? Should I apply direct as well as through ucas? 🙏
Hi, I only had one reference from a tutor at Durham. Not 100% sure what you mean - but i just applied through UCAS and the academic referee did their bit through UCAS too (this was a few years ago tho).
Hiya, do u remember what u out for ‘Registration body and Registration number’ of the organisations u worked for? I asked my Hospital Bank team and even they’re confused. The hospital is of course with CQC but even I cannot find this information on their website. Any idea how I can find this pls? Thanks

Do you need to have a high 2:1? So more than 65%? Or 2:1 would be enough to apply?
Hey Marius, are the chances actually around 1 in 2 of getting in once your'e in the interview stage like you said in the video? I sure hope it is
