I think something that’s really under appreciated is the parting and shear work skills. As a barber myself, I still struggle with those two things and it amazes me how easy Chris Bossio makes it seem lol
@@jovanlee1876 just stack your guards , blend down its the easiest as long as you dont get lost , for example he does 4 closed than 3 open than closed and etc
What's up Bossio! I'm a barber in training and been watching your videos for a while man you give me motivation to keep going. I was on the wrong path and got addicted to opiates, was bad off for 6 years. I had everything from my own car, place, my own home studio with a soundproof booth, went to college for music engineering, and when I graduated I was working with several artists who lead me down the wrong path. I know we all make our own decisions but it was a "you are who you hand around" kind of thing for me. Soon as you know it I became opiates dependant and got bad. Crashed 3 of my cars I owned over a few years, lost my home, my studio equipment and everything else including my grandmother who passed who raised me like her son. I went through alot Chris and told myself enough is enough. I have too much talent to be wasting. Today I'm almost 3 months clean not even a drink. Back to working out too. I don't wanna die Chris😔and I have a 12 year old son who needs me. I decided to throw myself into a 28 day rehab. Then after that I went into another rehab for 5 weeks. Now I'm in a halfway house for the next 3 months and then going to supportive living for 6 months after this. I'm taking all the help I can get because then there no excuses. I look up to you guys, and have been wanting to get into being a barber for the longest. I just bought a Wahl's Home Kit (model 78524) and a straight blade. Nothing big, but it's a start. I can't afford much more than that for the time being so these will do! I uploaded my first 2 haircuts I did this week with the Wahl's to my Google drive and would love for you to give me some feedback bro! Please, any criticism is good criticism. God bless. 1st haircut (mid fade, comb over) drive.google.com/file/d/1-GADsbjjy3Q6P-6rWpQp--sNmxf0-p7f/view?usp=drivesdk 2nd haircut (mid to high fade, comb over) drive.google.com/file/d/1-CT_7r_RNmIaI1Z9jUgma43oOeaXHDMN/view?usp=drivesdk Anyone else thats reading, all feedback and criticism is welcome, pleeeeease!!!! And guys, please like and comment and get this to the top so Chris can see it! I want him to receive credit when it's due, he's influenced me alot!!! Thanks guys
Love seeing/hearing the consult. I get a LOT of clients who, after the consult say, "Do what you think looks good." He sounded a little like that. I loved the cut and how you worked through it, also the suggestions(and your being transparent). Thank you, for helping me grow.
I totally get where you coming from with peer learning. That would be dope. Also the cut did come out pretty fire. Thanks for your humility and transparency
Chris, even though you were transparent and offered to accept feedback from peers, the AMAZING thing about your cut is this…. You still knew how to cover and make what you thought was a bad cut, still look like an AWESOME Cut. Now that’s skill!!!
yo Chris Bossio this cut is FIRE bro. seriously we are all imperfect but you make it look so easy even if its not ideal gradation in the beginning , it turns our magnificent! much respect!
Dope cut. Appreciate showing the scissor work. Nuff barbers showing fades all day and don’t focus much on the shear work. I can do bald fades for days but I struggle with scissors and I feel a lot of barbers on UA-cam do too. Always looking for videos like these to help me get better at my craft. 🔥🔥👍👍
Being a barber myself I really do think Chris Bossio is one of the best in the game, from the client consultation to fading & to styling is just a perfect Haircut all around. Appreciate the grind brotha taking tips from you as I grow my barber career 🙏🏽
Think it came out really good I like the cut overall and how you have detail on how to blend where it was disconnected and not afraid of using the sheers
Thanks for the transparency! Def not an easy cut. The blend was nice though 🔥. I feel a lower fade with rounder shape to the cut would compliment him better.
I like to use my feather razor over comb for tough lines like that. This cut came out great though. You’ve come a real long way with your sectioning and shear work. I’ve been picking up lots of things watching your videos. Thanks for the great content.
It appeared the previous "cutter/Barber" wanted no part of his Hair up top!! Lol Shear work is always my favorite part to watch on your videos Bossio. You're always Transparent, especially with the "consultation". You also give good feedback, not just what you want to do. Tough cut
Bro you are soooo good but you stay so humble and still wanna learn! Amazing cut bro keep up the good work! Your vids are inspiring ♥️🙏 makes me wanna cut
As always the cut is clean! I think that little bulk where his C Cup on the left side of his head could’ve been blended a little better. Kinda sticks out when looking at him straight on.
Good transition to the top boss ,I think a bit of razor work on top would have give it a bit of more flow and mobility but it came out great boss you always kill it much love and respect
Thanks for the videos Chris they really help me learn as a student barber. When you said you wish you could have another barber do the same cut why don't you go on your socials and look for twin models with about same hair I would love to see that video. Once again thanks for the content 🙏
Bro that comment about wishing you could see how another barber would handle that cut is spot on!! Anytime I feel somewhat unsatisfied with the final result I always think how would “insert barber” do this cut? Would it come out the same? Better? Is this the best that can be done or is there areas I could improve on? Personally with this I think it’s very difficult. Because with his hairstyle and texture you want to leave that wavey:/flowy look but at the same time make it look crispy. It’s not curly enough to do a strait undercut where it’s curly on top and a fade on the sides. But If you go with a fade and take away too much bulk on the sides it turn it into more of a pomp and you lose the flow of the hair. I think if you could do a really low bald drop fade and leave more bulk on the side and don’t try and make it too symmetrical on top but instead follow to flow it could keep the integrity/shape while still making it look crispy. That’s just my opinion, I’d love to cut his hair and see if my theory would work. Great video and commentary
A lot of my clientele ask for cuts like this, a fade while maintaining weight. I have found the methods taught by Schorem (the guys at Reuzel) to work best for this style, but it's always nice to see other methods.
I would use the 14th teeth texturing shears and do short to long pieces where the hair is heavy-leaving longer hair in the front section and shorter in back, or direction in which he styles his hair, this will create more texture and help with styling, and helps hair lay better.
I think something that’s really under appreciated is the parting and shear work skills. As a barber myself, I still struggle with those two things and it amazes me how easy Chris Bossio makes it seem lol
I find the opposite....I was a hairdresser 1st and smash thru shears but I find fading really hard
been cutting for 3 years and i feel the same
Frfr !

Respect the fact that as good as you are you still are willing to learn from other great barbers. This cut is beyond perfect.

I love how Chris is even like "ya I had a hard time with this one"
I like how you call it a tough cut but it still comes out looking spectacular!! Your professionalism is amazing!! Great work as always!!
Chris is like the perfect mix of barber and hairdresser/stylist
loving the transparency of this channel man, always real talk and something to learn from. Keep being real bro, we appreciate you!

I like how you got in depth with him to ask and manage to get an exact visual of what he wanted.

Hey Chris you're really good at cutting hair, have you ever thought about being a barber?
Like how honest u are about how difficult u think the cut is but somehow always come out 🔥🔥🤝
Chris this hair cut is perfect!! You did your thang!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
This is such a nice cut, great job man! Always improving and learning, respect.
This is the haircut I've been looking for for a long time

the way you shape cuts is on another level, inspiring fr
You did really good. This looks like it is a difficult cut. Remaining calm and sticking to your technique paid off.
Excellent cut Chris..... insane blend and scissor work 🤯
You have an amazing mindset bro, really
I respect your honesty. I would've done this cut using block grad but also verticle sections maybe with the length I would've cut the top first.
Think it came out really good I like the cut overall and how you have detail on how to blend where it was disconnected and not afraid of using the sheers
Dope dope cut, switched it up on us with the shear work at the end!
Super fire cut making it look easy 🔥🔥
The cut is 🔥 🔥.. Your the 🐐 my dude.. 👍 🙏
Dope turn around. It did look difficult but you cleaned him up good.
You killed it bro real nice shadow fade
Thanks for the transparency! Def not an easy cut. The blend was nice though 🔥. I feel a lower fade with rounder shape to the cut would compliment him better.
I agree, just a tad bit lower of a fade would have been better. But I am still in awe of the skills Chris has!
@@mimhap no doubt, I def wouldn’t have done as blurry a fade
@@youngvet1993 do you think it was blurry? I just mean it should have come down a little lower, especially on the sides. Otherwise an excellent cut!
@@mimhap oh yeah, his cuts are always blurry
That was a unique cut IMO shear work is amazing it made sense cross checking in the back I learned something new 💯💯💯💯💯💯
This is what we need ! Blow dry Scissor styled cuts 👌✂️✂️
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥cut much respect for one barber to another love the content on tha channel might stop thru and get cut when up your way from N.Y
I like 👍 how honest you are, you needed the vertical section fro real though
Deeaam goood cut Chris💈💈👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
It came out fire bro. Compressing it like that is still hard for me but it seems at the end we always go up with that four to blend all together.

Bossio you asked how we would’ve done it , I probably would’ve done 3,2,1 taper , machine over comb the rest to the top , that cut fire 🤙🤙
Slayed this cut

I think you need new glasses, chris. Because that cut couldn’t have been any blurrier! Perfect as always 🔥
Clippers over comb. With a no 3 yard on it bro . Ye would off been good. grate work man . ARTISTS unite.
Great cut. Could it be more blurry? I don't think so
Very nice Mr.Bossio, tough cut
Now this is the type of haircut I like! Would this be the same as a half (0.5) fade?
My respects bro! From barber to barber
Cleannnnnnn
How do you get the light in your Babyliss to stay on the whole time?
Clean cut bro we always learning with every cut✔️
Honestly props just on the consultation because I wouldn’t know how to cut it 😭😭 fire cut thou as usual 💯🔥🔥🔥

Dope fade bro! Im in FL also
I wanna get to the point in my career where I can call a cut like this “Not my best work”
Ahhhh, I get what you’re saying. You saying even Chris’s bad work, ends up looking like Good work! I Agree completely!
Great Cut
Yo Jrl best clipper low key with the fade blade tho for real try it you won’t want to cut with nothing else
Keep up the great work bro
You made that look pretty easy brotha. Not even gonna lie. And it’s far from easy. Bless
