This game just proves that UST is still a contender for the championship, kudos to Eya Laure for doing a tremendous job this game. I think La Salle got complacent when they had that 5th set lead but UST just wants it more.
the problem with a heavy lift is there might be chance na panghinaan ng loob or worst mapagod, not just physcally but also mentally, especially na she is the team captain. I'm not discrediting the help of her teammates pero yun ung masakit pag may heavy tagabuhat. hoping na sana mamaintain ni eya ung stellar performance niya sa lahat ng mga laro cause thats what i think will be their greatest asset toward their championship goal.
@@charlottesmile4981 true! or worst, baka yung mismong teammates pa niya ang lalong mag-rely sa kanya. We witnessed it very well in 5th set, Victoria OBVIOUSLY was pressured bc Eya was in the back (she has a couple blocked attacks and an error), same thing with galanza na laging off ang set and hirap maghabol ng bola to the point na si eya na rin yung nag-seset.
Good thing, Eya was very versatile, sometimes you'd be happy she's in the back bc the reception and digs were good. When she's in the front, totally smasher and strong spirited.
Also, I think their receptions / libero did a tremendous job at keeping the balls alive esp in the latter sets. Tapia/Jimenez taking the role when eya was in the back, consistent consecutive serves din si Tapia, so credit where the credit is due.
@@charlottesmile4981 I think kung makabalik na si Hernandez, may tutulong na kay eya consistently sa paggawa ng puntos kasi imee could play middle and opposite.. Hopefully makabalik n tlaga cya.
@@charlottesmile4981 she has the same situation as Nisperos of Ateneo, ang pagkakaiba lang is makikita mo talaga yung pagod ni Faith because she’s still a sophomore meanwhile Eya has the spirit and the mindset that she can carry the team all the way. I hope to see more of Jimenez and their middles.
@@chrissaligan4941 just imagine imee getting those blocks! + she can also execute running attacks and relaxed composed player din. It's unfortunate but I hope there's a chance that she can play in a healthy state.

sobra po...inabangan ko talaga ung game inabot n ng alas 9 d prin tapos...from set 1 to set 5 dikit lahat in terms of attacks, blockings ang aces and also unforced errors.Grabe kaintense ung game. Kumapit lng talaga UST in the wnd pero good game also for lasalle. I'm a UST fan pero kita ko ung pagod ng both teams. Babawi yang lasalle sa susunod 👍

I agree!!! The girl has nerves of steel for a rookie. Pwedeng pwede syang mag-error while serving. Pero hanep sa lakas ng loob ng bata, 4 straight serves na nagpahirap sa DLSU kaya di makaset ng maayos si Alba.
Laure, Jimenez, Galdones, Pepito, Balcorta, Galanza including Roldan remember these UST tigresses were part of the team who reached the finals of S81 very well experience on crucial & tight situations.
We were there kanna at GRABE lang talaga si Eya! Killer sa front tapos salo lahat ng bola kapag sa likod naman, i think there are at least 2 reception error ni eya, yun lang kaya sobrang taas ng % nya! Nakaka goosebumps! Kudos to Pepito, Ecalla and Tapia too!

Eya is always a versatile player. Di porket magaling siya in all aspects e magrerely or maging complacent na yung team, it’s a team effort kaya sana in the upcoming match magtulong2 ulit sila. Grabi lang talaga siya, nangangamoy MVP eh. Kudos also to pepito, tapia, jimenez and ecalla, mga magic bunot eh at reliable during crucial points. Sana ma maintain lang talaga nila ang ganitong game. ESPINA had the leadership of a captain in this game for DLSU! yung nag collect siya ng teammates to focus!💪👏. But Eya's determination was unmatched! Sana meron sa parlor natin sa dlsu ang palaban na tindig at determinadong ugali!

Sana pinasok si Espina noong 5th set. I think her leadership and energy were what they needed. Jolina stepped up noong binalik siya. I guess that was motivation for Jolina to do better. Looking forward ako kay Espina sa mga susunod na laro.
@@riannacustodio1467 ewan ko lang bakit hindi pinasok si espina 4th set and 5th set. Where sets 2 and 3 she was effective and persuading the others to focus. Baka gusto ni ramil maka hanap muna ng stable 6 na mag build ng character at maturity. Kaso wala talag kahit sa captain nila.

Dela Cruz and the opposites of LaSalle must step up (Cruz or Soreno). Si Alba hanngang ngayon di ma maximize yung middles at di maibigay yung gusto nilang set. Kailangan ding bawasan ang errors specially sa services, and for me ito yung pina magandang uaap game this season. Go LaSalle!!

These both teams come from defeats, UST from FEU and DLSU from UP,. They faced each other and UST conquered the game with a straight sets win. Then UST faced NU which they won the game in 4 sets. Can they repeat it this time?

1. Coach Ramil de Jesus should trust in other setters. He should make Coronel as starting setter then sub Tolentino sometimes if needed. Alba was given a lot of opportunities to prove herself, but she was always off with her setting, net defense, etc.
2. DLSU should activate their middles if given a great reception. Alba is too predictable, and she cannot activate Gagate and Sharma. Her sets were consistently way off for the spikers to form an attack.

Anyway, La Salle could have win, if it weren't for the bad sets. Also, UST played really well in terms of offense (most especially Eya, now that she gained help from other teammates for today's game).

Can we also appreciate Victoria in this game? She really tried to help in that last stretch of the 5th set tho unfortunately she failed to do so.

Maintain this type of offense and defense at for sure you can win over NU, ADU and ADMU🙏. Need itrain and tutukan ng UST si Victoria sa low fast set. Halatang hindi nya gamay and mabagal arm swing nya kaya huli sa block. Pero kudos parin kasi nakadouble digit sha. I like also yung power tip nya and nakakablock tlga sha. More attack variations sana like crosscourt, cut shots, backrow attack etc. Tapia is the next Rondina🙏, kitang kita sa form and approach nya. High leaper, fast and power is there. Need lang more playing time para madevelop ung kumpyansa sa sarili at infer ah may depensa sha like Sisi nga. Ecalla tatak UST kaliwete ang OPP, may diskarte and sharp pumalo. Actually, parang obvious basahin ng plays ng dlsu. If they go for a middle hit, yung mb (gagate/sharma) pumapalakpak, pag walang palakpak then it's a fake play.
