Wow such an amazing company, I never even thought of all the manual labor that goes into checking the very large surface areas of all kinds of infrastructure. Best of luck to them and I hope they go public eventually, the world needs this.
Going public would be detrimental to a company like this... We don't need companies looking for quarterly dividends... We need companies trying to build 50 year trillionaires...
Love love love this. Very inspiring. Perfect example of an engineering-driven startup, bridging atoms and bits. Spectacular programming choice, and a beast of a founder 🥳
I love this domain. I lost a crap load of money investing in a similar company that was public and failed. You can tell this company has a sound founder and has proof in the pudding! I look forward to following along! ✌️
The future is coming fast. This guy is inspiring but also challenges opinions I have on my self worth. I am a simple Joe over here noticing his job is going to be in jeopardy and I know I have smarts and I have vision and I have financial backing; however I procrastinate and don't finish things as much as I would like...I would love to capitalize on this type of industry but I feel I am already behind the curve! Should I join Gecko or should I risk my fate?!
Really compelling vision and demo! So much value in extending the operational life of existing infrastructure. The US Navy stuff is particularly compelling with our need to project power with a shrinking fleet. 🙌
Gecko robotics make you start thinking what other applications are out there, to connect the build environment with AI/software/robotics in diffrent sectors.
@@Luid101Clips you don't, that's why it doesn't make sense to bring it up when talking about a company who's whole product is about preventative maintenance. ^^^^ see my original comment you responded to.
I’m a YC alum. As I heard Jake pitch, something about the style of his pitch sounded so familiar.. so I looked up the company and, no surprise, it turns out they went through YC (W16)! Way to represent YC! 🙌🏻
He was the most engaged of the 4, when he is silent in the way he was (not distracted), it means his mind is expanding...the followup convos confirmed this
Is it just me? The first ten minutes was fascinating, and he does extremely important work in a much neglected field. He is courageous and to be valued. However, after 10 minutes, I can't imagine anything surprising, thus, I'm bored. I ought to get my head examined, what's wrong with me, besides being completely honest here?
He sounds Too robotic After some time,,,,😂😂 Bro give simple answers so people understands , cut that corporate shit out……..Bro stays in presentation mode relentlessly..😂😂😂

This was the most exciting of the show so far! Gecko robotics feels like the future. Love it.
many thanks, got an incredible team behind gecko. it is the future, it is inevitable
This was absolutely mind blowing. Incredible company and incredible business model, so much value created all around. Best session, #1
This is incredible. Great find!
Amazing presentation and interview, and seemed like great fun and energy!!
We need more of this type of thinking to push things forward

@@dontraiseplz Darkpulse. Their (his) concept of smart infrastructure hooked me. Lessons learned!
It is amazing and it's headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA!!

This is what a real startup should be like, and the last question is really comedy😂
Awesome !
All in is the best place to know such innovations and the people wow.

Underappreciated because no one knows about it. Change the narrative by showing the bottom line impact of each data point

Is chamath drunk? There was literally giant ship that crashed into the bridge in Baltimore
That was more of an accident, this guys focus is on stopping wear from causing major incidents. The two situations are not equivalent.
@@Luid101Clips are you drunk as well? Gecko is about preventative maintenance and I'm not sure what your comment adds to my initial comment
@@Ataraxia_Atom How would you have prevented a ship from crashing into a bridge with bridge maintenance?

Ohh he mentioned the Baltimore bridge, I totally missed that. Yeah, that's wierd. wtf is he talking about
UA-cam has a bot issue
yep! X had it before, but not youtube is just drowning in it
embrace the bots! 🤗
Your videos always stand out for their quality and originality. Thank you for your contribution!🕋🐪🍋
With all the talk of nuclear war, I seriously wonder if our warheads would even function properly.

Really cool business!
Amazing!
Wow this is so cool
What a beast!!
Serious question: Why does Sacks even bother showing up for these types of talks?
Hes just happy to be there

Silicon Valley episode 1 :)
Chamath, a damn boat the size of a skyscraper hit the bridge in Baltimore. He thinks it just fell and nobody knows why 🤡
Nobody corrected him

Interesting.
Just get space X to build submarines and call it sub X ..I'm sure they would shrine
Wow 😮😮❤❤
It seems there will be no Elon robots working at our docks given their union is going to strike to ensure no automation.
What was the last question?
founder mode, should i respond?
And not IPO yet?!

Kirk cousins?
you like that?
China's new "best" sub sunk....soooo
