So beautiful
Glad you dig :)
Never underestimate the power of your creations. If you love them in the moment, others will as well. Such a gorgeous progression… 🌈💜🇺🇸
Thank you for the kind words❤️🙏
nice!
Woop woop!
Great to see you active again, Petteri!
Thnx, yea I’m trying to get back on track here. Where did 6 years disappear!? 😅
@@petterisariola If only 6.. Yeah, time sure flies by.
Very beautiful as always 👏👏👏
Thank you! 😊
You've always been my music hero! Thank you Petteri🥰
Thank you! 🙏
I actually just recently got some nashville tuning strings from f-musiikki. Nice to hear some good playing on them.
Thnx! Yea not much music out there for it, understandably 😅I think Trevor Gordon Hall actually has a complete piece written in Nashville tuning and there’s a video of it online, a fairly recent song.
beautiful! man, didn't know you also have flat picking chops!
Hey thanks! I try my best, hehe :)
I have not seen that guitar in a while. Nice to see that it is still being played!
Yea it’s in my archives and gets out only for session work few times a year, but it’s really a secret weapon for chimey long chords. This is its first time in public since… 2006 or so?
Lovely, great sound too!
Thanks Shane! 🙏
do you use a pick?
It's a wonderful performance that expresses the goodness of the guitar very much!
Yes, I’m using a pick on this clip. Thanks! My solo stuff is all about using just fingers, but I play with a pick almost everyday for decades. It just happens ”behind the scenes” and unpublic when I’m doing session work for other projects. I’ve never been a massive shredder tho 😅 More like a Cory Wong -type of player.
Is this the same guitar from the song / video “Prime” many years ago? Sounds fantastic and clean… also beautiful chords🥹
Well spotted, yes it is! I got it around 2004, maybe? And I retired it once I started playing Cuntz in 2007. I was thinking about selling it years ago but then I put it on nashville tuning (the high strings of a 12 string) and decided to hang on to it. It has seen quite a bit of session work over the years but I haven’t played it in public in over a decade, until now😉
Wow, that means it’s almost 20 years old! The song Prime has brought me into your music, that’s the reason why I remember this guitar haha. Comparing to the powerful and organic-sounding Cuntz guitars, I would describe this one as a polished bell, and Nashville tuning has shined the tone even more. Wish to listen more songs played on this Larrivee!
Hah! Thanks for following my stuff for all these years. I probably won’t do have much solo music coming up with this guitar, but it’s an interesting idea, I’ll keep it in mind.
😢 sorry for your loss......I guess?
I'm not quite sure what you mean :) The complete story behind the song is this: I just jammed one day on camera with my nashville tuned guitar and recorded the take. Months later Tuomo was writing songs, and asked material from his friends online (this was during covid lockdowns). I sent various audio files to him, including this bit. Few days later, to my great surprise, he had written a song using on this jam as the foundation and the tune is called "See you on the other side", and Emma Salokoski contributed additional vocals. All in all, from a random recorded take into a complete song in the hands of another artist, the song came to existence through quite an interesting route :)
I try, thanks Leif 😅👍
