Fantastic work guys. I used to play this at my local comic book store. When it first came out there were lines out the door to play this particular cabinet.
You know, years back, my late father saw me playing this cabinet at an arcade, and it gave him the idea to invent a method of projecting multiple video images on a single curved screen. He called it Telerama, and used it to create a display at the Dairy Building of the NY State Fair in the late 90's. Thanks, Konami!
The 3 stooges bit never gets old! And Wallace totally needs his own segment called Wallace's corner. Along with the subsequent raise to go along with it ;)
indeed, it is a classic. If I remember well, there was some arcade bar (don't know where) which did a refurbishment of this cabinet, but decided to make a couple of tweaks such as reducing its size by replacing the monitors with two LCD flat screen monitors.
JTGuitarAudio Look at our other X men 6 player for some play...and don;t forget about the link at the end of this video to this very game getting played from beginning to end!!
Ah...memories. The fights over everybody wanting to play as Wolverine.....but I digress. Damn good game-and GREAT work by the guys. (as usual). BTW-the game's cast/theme is based upon the cartoon "Pryde of the X-Men" Marvel Comics attempt at a X-Men cartoon.
***** The last one we sold was before we started doing videos on the game we have sold...eventually we will get one in and it will get ordered! And then we will do a video on it!!
Tod I picked up a jamma cabinet wired to Final Lap 2. Problem is I can't seem to find any other driving boards apart from Namco System 2's which have that extra kick harness ( Jamma+??)
Ok mate. How Are Jamma racing games normally wired up? I thought you couldn't connect a steering wheel and pedals to a jamma harness as it's only 4-6 buttons and a joystick?
Wow!..a 6 player. Never knew they existed. Does it take up more floor space, than regular machines?. The monitor setup, reminds me of a 3 screen display machine called Darius by Taito..ever see one of those? You should let Wallace do some more..he seems to have a dry sense of humor! Great overhaul, of an uber rare machine.
Better watch out, Wallace is going to steal the show! :P Entertaining video as usual. I assume the monitors were positioned the way they are to give the machine a smaller footprint? Was there any other reason to position them that way in the cabinet?
gamermatt71 this way the monitors can overlap and create an almost seamless image...if the tubes were next to each other, you would have a clear edge at the end of each tube!
Hey Todd I saw the eight ball being worked on and what's funny is I just finished mine, you will see it at jersey jacks show. And also I may start working on a world cup soccer we picked up, that will be at the show too. See you at the show todd.
Need your advice too please: on a Dutch marketplace site I saw a Bally Star Trek pinball machine from 1987. The seller doesn't name a price, but he writes that the flippers do not work anymore. I saw prices of this thing as high up as 3000$! But a working and revised one is in Belgium for sale for 950 euros. So what could the price be for one where the flippers don't work, and is it possible to fix that? Thank you!
anything is fixable as long as not bad battery damage....a nice star trek reconditioned, we sell for $1899...so I would think maybe $400 to $500 tops...
At the end of the video I was hoping too see a extra ending leading too a new Video. Like they do in all Marvel movies.. There always something something extra. LOL...
If you stayed in you could have gotten a shock and gain superpowers that way! Or, sucked into the game... I think it would have been better to build that house AROUND the arcade.. ;-)
They had a suicide audio board made with cheap capacitors that would leak and cause the audio to quit working.. Ive done the repair.. No easy task. tinyurl.com/poqgg4r
In the video U mention that U wanted too call Konami, and Thank them.. ua-cam.com/video/sEwDIJQ9Kio/v-deo.htmlm16s How Correct U R in that statement. I written too Konami plenty of time's and U think they give me a curiosity too write back.. I get the big Ignore.. So sad, they haven't seen this Video :(
This isn't an arcade machine... It's a Work Of ART!
Fantastic work guys. I used to play this at my local comic book store. When it first came out there were lines out the door to play this particular cabinet.
MichiganJack Thanks!
The Holy Grail of arcade beat em ups. IMO.
Most videos don't show the back of the machine. But the back is huge! The machine is a lot bigger than pictures show!

***** I love the Stooges...and copying is the best form of flattery!! We keep hoping the reality show sells...and then Wallace will have his slot!
Great Intro and 6 Player Game. Now the only thing I need to do is wait for "The Wallace Show"!
that may come one day!
indeed, it is a classic. If I remember well, there was some arcade bar (don't know where) which did a refurbishment of this cabinet, but decided to make a couple of tweaks such as reducing its size by replacing the monitors with two LCD flat screen monitors.
Bom ver um arcade clássico restaurado
that back break sample never gets old xD
Majoras Flask As you can see, I am a big Stooges fan!

Great video! Would have loved some gameplay footage of this one
JTGuitarAudio Look at our other X men 6 player for some play...and don;t forget about the link at the end of this video to this very game getting played from beginning to end!!
Yeah that's the type of racing games I'm looking for. Do you know of any that has that extra connector?
Ah...memories. The fights over everybody wanting to play as Wolverine.....but I digress. Damn good game-and GREAT work by the guys. (as usual). BTW-the game's cast/theme is based upon the cartoon "Pryde of the X-Men" Marvel Comics attempt at a X-Men cartoon.
charlesn898 Yes...Many people have great memories of this big game!
You guys are great. Go Wallace!
The Interpreter We have alot of fun!
I'm still here and Wallace is gaining a nack of being good for trapping people in massive games. :) and in front of the camera :D
Lee Bartholomew That's my Wallace!!
That looks like such a fun place to work...have you guys sold any Sunset Riders lately?
***** The last one we sold was before we started doing videos on the game we have sold...eventually we will get one in and it will get ordered! And then we will do a video on it!!
Tod I picked up a jamma cabinet wired to Final Lap 2.

that one is a puzzler...never had any of the system two boards come through...
Super awesome game!
ELKFILMZ It is!!
This game is huge. This Xmen arcade game must weigh at least three Todds or more. Also its must cost a fortune when it was brand new.
Just Seen Playing the X-Men 6-Player Arcade Game in Cosplay they played it at TNT Amusements that's awesome
dvddmc its a neat tie-in to the same game finally delivered (after being in warehouse for well over a year!)
yes it is and it showed what you were talking about on the Monitor adjustments where they have to over lap just a tiny bit
Love that music!
bansheebot2 It's good!
1:51 It would be best if the “eye poke block” from the Three Stooges would be used. 🤣
Ok mate. How Are Jamma racing games normally wired up? I thought you couldn't connect a steering wheel and pedals to a jamma harness as it's only 4-6 buttons and a joystick?
***** there is usually a separate connector on the board
And there's me thinking Wallace would do the whole video :(
Wow!..a 6 player. Never knew they existed. Does it take up more floor space, than regular machines?. The monitor setup, reminds me of a 3 screen display machine called Darius by Taito..ever see one of those?
You should let Wallace do some more..he seems to have a dry sense of humor!
Great overhaul, of an uber rare machine.
gallimead Watch for the 4 player X Men tomorrow...Wallace has a terrific role in it....

Someone should check the place out!
Wow, a whale birth! ;-) Sorry Todd, I couldn't resist. :-)
kenny9648 Never thought of it that way! :-)
Better watch out, Wallace is going to steal the show! :P Entertaining video as usual. I assume the monitors were positioned the way they are to give the machine a smaller footprint? Was there any other reason to position them that way in the cabinet?

They had a suicide audio board made with cheap capacitors that would leak and cause the audio to quit working.. Ive done the repair.. No easy task. tinyurl.com/poqgg4r
