I noticed CVS has started accepting PayPal and Venmo as payment methods. I've been using that to maximize my Chase Freedom bonus categories, which includes PayPal this quarter. I suspect they'll do alright. I'm no longer adding to the position, though.
Parkev, Some may question your growth rate. If you look at the last 3 years, Paypal fell short below expectations on growth and is not growing as fast as you estimate. What do you respond to that?
I'd love to know what Paypal's competitors are. Do they actually have a moat? What if Amazon introduced its own payment system (or haven't they already?). I don't know how many other fintech companies out there could do sth similar. I'm asking as a shareholder.
So, to make people move their money from 10y bonds to SPY, the index should return 10,2% at least. But PYPL is riskier than SPY so the return should be higher. This is why CAPM is 12,8%. Everything makes sense. But for some shares CAPM is so high, that discounting just throws down their price.
I believe that huge chunk of revenue from their Honey coupons business will be decreasing from now due to popular investigation videos. 17mil user base is insane, but people are allergic to scams. Let's see changes in the next earnings report
@ it’s been flat for far too long. There’s no excuse for the type of company it is to not have been doing much better for stockholders with the post Covid economy.
Pypl is amazing company
Thanks for the explanation. Good job👍

Thank you for helping me to make the right investment decisions!
How did you get the increasing fcf growth rate?? you said it 8.6%. how did you get it?
Parkev, what do you think of Peter Lynch's valuation method? Is it of any use at all?
Can you make an update on the PayPal honey situation and how it might affect the company long term?
Can you do DCF for MU as it’s reporting its earnings tomorrow
I believe I already have a DCF on MU stock.

CAPM accounts for risk. Some businesses, like Tesla, are riskier than others based on the industry, strategy, capital structure, etc.
In general I agree with what you're saying but I think your numbers are conservative, at least I hope they are conservative. Thank you.

PYPL is definitely not a wait. It's not going to stay in this price range for very long.
Hey Parkev, why not do stocks such as Devon and Oxy? People are interested in these also, not just the fad stuff.
Technically it looks for a bullish breakout
Honey is sinking paypal - i wont by this at all.
What a disappointing stock overall. I bought in during the height of Covid thinking the stock would take off.
I bought it in 2015 and still holding
@ you’re hopeful, or feeling stuck with it and don’t want to take a loss? Well I guess your not going to lose if you bought around $35
I bought @ 55 dollar 😂
If it didn’t go to $500 as you wanted to it doesn’t mean that the company is bad).
I bought it when it was $60, 30% up. Not great but pretty good
