Good recap. Why should Dallas entertain trade offers for Lance, based on him looking better than the eventual starter for the Raiders??? That means you keep him, at least for this season as your #2. Dak’s situation is in flux right now, as he is obviously not yet signed beyond this season. As soon as Lance looks like he could pan out, and becomes somewhat leverage in negotiations with Dak, you trade him away??? That would make no sense at all.
Thank you for the kind words! I believe they get a deal done with Dak and if you could trade Lance for a 3rd, especially to a bad team like the Raiders who will be picking at the top of the 3rd round, to me it's a no brainer.
If Dallas trades Lance away, to LV or whoever, it will come back to bite them big time! Based upon the potential he flashed, and the level of play QB play we’re seeing from young QBs developing throughout the league, you better hold onto this kid! You think it makes since to pay Dak $60M per year, who is NEVER going to string together the 3 or 4 games you need to win a SB! That makes no sense at all! Are you a Dak fan or a Cowboys fan??? I can’t really tell… The name of the game isn’t flipping draft picks; it’s getting better on the field to win championships!!! Focus on the steak; not the peas!
@@cowboysbeat That’s missing the point. I’m saying that you don’t sign Dak to a long term deal @ $60M per, because he has soundly demonstrated that he can’t get it done. You pay that type money to a guy you have EVERY confidence in to get you a championship! So, I’d hang onto Lance, and let some other sucker pay Dak all that money, just to choke in the playoffs. If that’s all that Lance becomes, at least I didn’t get taken to the cleaners - TWICE!
@@thomaswilliams480 If you're really good at your job, would you accept less than market value for your work just because another company was better? Also, people are so hung up on the 60 mil as a number, but what really matters is what percentage of the cap a player takes up. The top paid QBs are like 23% or so, which would be right where Dak would land.
@@Dizzydre21 Dak has shown me enough to know that he can’t string together the 3 or 4 playoff wins necessary to win a championship. So, I wouldn’t pay him that much money. In fact, I’d already be looking for the guy who can. Hence, trade for Lance and develop him. That’s what’s going on here. You don’t make a historic investment in a proven choke artist at the most important position on your team. That would be all-time, epic stupidity.
I love Dak but he's been to and won as many SBs as Trey Lance at this point and if Dak thinks he's going to another team that has more talent than the Cowboys, he's mistaken. If he can't win here, he aint winning anywhere else.
I love Dak too. I think he could go to the Steelers and have success, but I mostly agree with you. I do think the Joneses could and should have supported him with better players over his career in Dallas.
Gotta give Jerry Jones props 👏
Why would the Cowboys trade Lance? He can take Rush spot and become the starter when Dak leaves
These lance haters are just ignorant
He’s not better than Rush

Thank you! Cowboys roster is better than people give it credit for!
Keep ( 1...Trey Lance)..And go get (2..Will Greer) from the eagle's..trade Cooper Rush
......
Carson didn’t play! He had wisdom tooth pulled.
After Booth showing . He might be out a spot
Correct, I apologize for that.

Sorry, but Dak is a free agent in 2025

Dak will likely be the QB here for the future, Trade Lance for draft capital or risk losing him for nothing.

Were not trading away 5 million dollars for some bum who will be 2nd or 3rd string when THEY NEED A STARTER !! stupid convo
This guy is a trey hater.
Our 4th round pick is still throwing picks(dak).
Trey isnt going anywhere
Dak has one of NFL best TD/Int ratio. He’s not TO prone only 1 year with broken hand
