This was shot 1 week before tae's enlistment in the military and it's amazing how they did this in a week before Tae enlisted
In an interview of the director of this MV, he says that V is blind and IU is mute. A lot of people say that she's deaf, but I think she's supposed to be mute because the piercing on her lip is to symbolize not being able to speak. Through the video camcorder, her wounds go away, V's eye is normal, and IU's lip piercing goes away. Additionally, in the wedding reception sequence, IU is holding a mic and appears to be singing or speaking -- which is something she isn't doing in the "real" world. In any case, both of them have defects and the cube(s) are society that oppresses people with defects. However, I've also heard that the cube(s) can represent how society hounds/oppresses celebrities. The director did also say that there can be different interpretations, but the main point is how IU and V support and try to protect each other against the oppression against them and that through their love, they are able to see each other in a beautiful, idyllic world.

I also first discovered IU through "Hotel del Luna" and that gorgeous purple dress! After hearing her sing, I now have a playlist of over 50 of her songs and am a total fan. She is an amazing person! 😁

IU and TaeTae's acting was excellent. TaeTae was blind in one eye and IU was deaf/mute, but they saw the beauty of each other. They looked normal to each other when they looked at each other through the camera. The evil cube sees them as inferior or imperfect and wants to destroy them. At the end you could see smoke rising so yes I believe the evil cube was burning them because you could see their ashes in camera view while their clothes were being lifted on the pile of clothes.
TaeTae is such a natural actor. If you haven't seen the K-drama Hwarang you definitely should check it out. TaeTae is in that K-drama as Hansung along with Park Hyung-sik and Park Seo-Joon and Choi Min-ho. It is so good you fall for the whole cast. Be Blessed!
