Village to town tv that was a very nice view of Kiambu town ❤..Kiambu town smells money and riches when you land there ..Good job mr lonely traveler 🇰🇪🫡
Nice work. Githogoro is not in Kiambu county and grew in size during the construction of two rivers mall. The slum was very vibrant during the construction. After the construction was done, poverty has reigned UpTo to this day.
Yeah, Kiambu town has just developed along the road which I believe is as a result of poor planning which is the case in most towns in Kenya including Nairobi itself. In my opinion, I think Kiambu town has been over-rated, coz you cannot compare Kiambu town to other towns like Thika town. That was a very informative video Mr lone traveller, really enjoyed it.
We have refused to modernize our minds. We need to embrace the small shopping centres by giving them infrastructure to grow them as opposed to debates about moving hospitals and prisons yet it is our planning that is missing out.
Kiambu was initially named for a man called Mbu, who was a son of Metumi. His family, Mbari ya Mbu settled in the area after the Agikuyu crossed the Chania River. It was thereafter named Kiambuu, although Mbari ya Mbu was later displaced by various conflicts, and they later settled in Thindigua
Not really Kiambu was named Kia_ mbù ( Place of screams). This is because they bordered the maasai(Ukabì) who used to ululate when stealing cows . Hence Kikuyus named the place Kia_ mbù.

Most big cities have prisons in down towns. Infact even courts are within the complex where prisoners are locked up, so there is no need of transportation of prisoners to attend court cases. If the planners and policy formulaters are forward looking ,they shouldn't bicker over moving the hospital else but they shuld look for elsewhere most suitable to start another kiambu town.

Thanks a lot for showing us this part of the Mountain region. It is so green and not congested. It also seems to be clean.

Am sure most Kenyan policymakers' interests to move these facilities out of town to capitalize on the land's value. Pure greedy
