New learner here, how come when i set the stroke to 499 pt it fills in the whole page? is there a setting you have that i dont? My 100 Pt stokr looks more like what you have on screen here

whats the shorcut you are using to make the glare? the one where you turned the elipse into a bean shape
It s no shortcut. If you have the latest version of adobe illustrator the dots from the corners will appear automatically :)
