Great, I managed to do the easy password removal via vba by myself but not the VBA password removal, so I downloaded your file and it works perfectly, now I am a member too🎉, thx a lot, keep up your very good work? Al
Great summary - it provides an exhaustive treatment of the topic. Im pretty sure this is one of the best if not the best video on this topic on UA-cam. The tool is also a masterpiece! Thanks Mark!
Brilliant tutorial Mark and amazing VBA codes! Really-really appreciated them! 🙏 For me, you'd have won the Olympics of Instructors & UA-camrs of Excel in Paris, definitely! ;-)
Read the blog post, get the VBA code, download the removal tool here: exceloffthegrid.com/removing-cracking-excel-passwords-with-vba/ Use Password Find perform brute force attacks www.password-find.com/?
Many years ago, I was asked to remove a sheet protection password by thr owner of the workbook. I googled and found a VBA code. I ran it and the sheet protection password was gone. It's a much easier way to manually remove sheet protection but I'm not sure if it works for the other ones. Sad that I lost the code. I was hoping to see it in this video. The tool looks pretty powerful though. Thank you!
There was an old VBA method which worked until Excel 2010. The security was changed in Excel 2013. So depending on how long ago, the VBA code you used may no longer work. The VBA code in the linked blog posts still works and will give you similar results.
@@ExcelOffTheGrid thank you for the information! I think I used my found code in 2013 or 14 and our company would have been using Excel2013. My wish to find that code again is probably more for nostalgic reasons than anything else
I know all the guys in comments section are happy about this one but.. sorry to say this, this is horrible idea to reveal this so publicly. These steps were always there and if you needed them, you could find the way around passwords in less than 30 mins even if you are excel noob. But give it like this to everyone is just wrong. People now have access to the places, where they really shouldn't be . Messing with things they shouldn't see. All thanks to these kind of videos for likes...congrats. And what is the meaning of the "disclaimer" at the end? You know you can't control access properly anyway. Until now, you had the option to control access and also have a password. you just killed half of the protection which was very vague from the beginning. Thanks!
If an Excel noob could get around it in 30 minutes without my video, and my video lasts 11 minutes, what is so precious about the 19 minutes difference? Excel workbooks are not secure. I can’t change that, only Microsoft can. And so far, they have decided not to. So maybe they don’t want them to be secure 🤔
Another step towards glory.
Thanks for such substantial content, Mark.
Thanks Ivan.
I've had this tool for the last 7 years, so thought it was time I should actually created a video about it. 😁

Thank you - I tried to create the best video on the topic. Plus the added VBA codes make it super easy.
