    I would be especially interested in seeing a video on making salves, as well as tinctures. Especially of yarrow, but also if you can combine a salve for example of Yarrow, calendula, and comfrey. And I would also be interested in watching videos on making tinctures and not only how you make them but what you would use them for and what proportions. Thanks in advance!

    I'm in it for health. It grows naturally all over where I live, which I don't like or am used to but trying to make the most out of it. Point being, though not in it for the money, I saw it for sale at $90 a pint for untrained tincture! Maybe you can make a dime...

    When stacking a few bales of hay, the top one bounced back at my face and a stalk went right up my nose and I had a major nosebleed. Just gushing🤢 I grabbed and crushed some yarrow and stuffed it up my nose. Stopped bleeding by the time i finished stacking the last three bales.

    I would like to add spearmint infused oil with the yarrow. What do u think? Good combo? What percentage of each.

    I love your style !! 😀
    Although tying twine around a few stems seems obvious, there's actually a trick to it (in my experience). An ordinary knot or bow tends to be too loose and the plant might fall out as it dries and shrinks (maybe, certainly not always). So an herbalist friend of mine showed me how to wrap the twine very tightly around the stems five times, create a loop, thread through the loop, THEN tie a knot or bow to seal the deal. I've never had a problem since!!

    Can use a paper towel lightly misted w/white vinegar to clean out grinder. Helps remove taste/odor when grinding ‘stronger’ flavored herbs and veggies. (Peppers, anise, celery, onion, mints, etc). Thanx for vid! Be blessed!

    Excellent presentation you've put together here, thank you so much for the demonstration and information!
    I observed this "weed" growing wild behind my house a back in 2021. In summer of '22 I identified it as yarrow, a plant that I'd heard of before but knew little about, other than "it has medicinal properties". Fast forward to _this_ summer and now my knowledge of this little " weed" has grown faster than the plant itself! I've been methodically harvesting, drying, and storing it for the past six to eight weeks, while searching for other ways to prepare and utilize it. I really like your powdered quick-clot idea, I think I'm going to give it a shot!
    Thank you again for the wonderful presentation, I'm happy to have found this video and I'll definitely be checking out more of your channels content👍🏻

    I just found this growing wild today in my field. Thank you for this information. Question, Do you rinse it before you dry it?

    • @thefiresidefarm
      @thefiresidefarm  Рік тому +1

      It wouldn't be a terrible idea to rinse it. I dont...but I also know what I spray in my garden haha. Something near a roadside or if you use chemical fertilizers, you might wanna rinse it
