Interesting that you mentioned “Turn” the TV show. My wife and I love history and that show. Much of it was filmed near us in Olde Towne Petersburg, Virginia. Love your boating content too.

You had some excellent pictures of the night time of New York City...I believe. A well rounded video. 🤠

Simcoe is a historical figure in Canada. There are streets, towns and lakes named after him.

I was watching the TV Series "Turn: Washington's Spies," at the time. Much of it took place at that port.

So you had no boating experience but purchased a 40 foot Carver Motor Yacht? That's an ambitious first boat purchase. Then you took this vessel from Cape May NJ to Martha's Vineyard with stops in Pt Jefferson and Mystic. Now you are in my neighborhood. Pt Jefferson and Mystic are both nice little waterfront towns. You sure did learn a lot fast.

That was three years ago. We have since traded up to a 65" Hatteras and have traveled over 4000 on her. We love it!

The Carver is a nice vessel. The Hatteras is a whole different deal. I'm glad you are enjoying the Hatteras.

Had to click on this video because I saw the thumbnail and thought you were Richard Karn a.k.a. Al Borland from the TV show “Home Improvement.”

We love Port Jefferson. Sorry for the mispronunciation - we are from Philly! :-)

Did you have any issues cruising through Hells Gate?

None at all. There was a little bit of current and the opening is a little narrow but there was not much traffic so it was not an issue.
