Actually I almost give up on NCIS LA before Deeks came to the scene. For me, Deeks saved NCIS LA. He is by far the most interesting character (at least for me).
I actually started watching ncis LA with deeks first episodes. I only watched the rest of S1 after I watched the entire show. He is my favorite character of the show. He's gone through way too much heartbreak though being a main character of a TV show. That never ends well for anyone xD

Deeks has been hurt so much and everyone on the team mistreats him like he saved them countless time got fired and tortured and shot and etc. He needs more respect and attention
Absolutely brilliant. One of the best I've seen in a long time. I think we forget how tender ECO can play Deeks because of all the comedy, which makes it even more true to character.
all these characters wear masks in one way or another. Sam the tough guy with a heart. Callen man trying to find himself kensi the kiss ads girl with a lacy girly side no one sees deeks the ruggedly handsome surfer who is the clown but behing all the bravado is a very sensitive and insecure man.
Imo a good storyline was missed by the writers. S2ep22 Nicole was so upset finding out max gentry was an alias because she had a child fathered by max. Max didn't know. Season 13 or 14 could have had Bates discover this 12 yr old child while investigating a case. Informing deems of the situation. Due to ECO's child psychology background and Deek's childhood I would have liked to have seen how Deek's would have handled such an emotional storyline. I will deeply miss NCIS: LA.

Kensi guilt tripping Deeks into revealing his true identity to that one chick pisses me off. When you're undercover, you do whatever you have to do to gain the suspect's or POI trust to make your case. If the POI gets hurt, then that's her own fault for giving her heart to a guy she just met.
