only a select group of people will understand this and i’m so glad i do 😂
John Butler?
@@prism2813 yup
😂😂😂
All chess players must have perfect ASMR voices. I’ve watched chess press conferences and they’re so good. So relaxing.
They’re usually pretty exhausted after games so that makes sense
Amazing - I remember watching this guy's videos on repeat in like 2009 when I was a kid for the ASMR - might have even been responsible for me discovering actual ASMR vids back around then, too.
I grew up not understanding why certain voices soothed me so much. Today i realize it isn't easy finding people with the same ear or similar to mine. Thanks for commenting!
Dude, same! I used to play this video on google back in the day and leave it on my computer while I fell asleep. I always used to wonder how weird people would think I was for listening to a video about a chess instructor to fall asleep, lol. Now they have ASMR videos all over the place, funny how things change.
@@trumplostlol805 Atleast we are not alone in a youtube comment section haha.
Can I join? haha. I remember watching and listening to that guy while falling asleep back in 2008-2009. It's amazing that long before the term asmr existed, we already enjoyed certain voices, and here we are, together in these youtube comments, 12 years later.
@@alexandreddd7573 Haha yes exactly! Not alone anymore.
This man is a treasure
Haha I agree!
This is very relaxing but that play absolutely blew my mind

WOAH. This guys6chess videos are what introduced me to ASMR. I was using them for sleep long before I even knew what it was. I had forgotten all about them. What a treat to find it again. Thank you so much for posting!
You're very welcome my friend.
Where can I find another videos of this man?
@@aintsaint1405 his channel is currently called S3 stores.
“Pull your wrists back like this and don’t let me bend them…” *crack*
I thought I was the only person who noticed that
Man, how time flies. It's been already about ten to eleven years since the term ASMR came up. I saw the beginnings of this phenomena on youtube. I remember the first videos that were titled asmr. There weren't many asmr channels back then. "Gentle Whispering" and "asmrmassage" were one of the first ones. In the whole of youtube there were only a few asmr videos and when you checked for new asmr content daily, you could count the search results on the fingers of one hand only. Most people didn't even know what asmr was, how to describe it, how to define it. But some people like me already enjoyed "asmr" videos before they were even associated with asmr, in other words unintentional asmr videos. "The world's greatest head massage" for instance was one of them, and I can remember that this old chess video was another one that gave me that asmr sensation. Today there are hundreds of millions of asmr videos and many people have heard about it. Many people associate asmr with sounds, a whispery voice or massages, which can be without a doubt strong asmr triggers. But after 10 years my mindset about asmr has changed a bit. I don't think it's about those external stimuli but rather an internal state of mind. In order to reach that state of mind triggers such as "sounds" are no necessity but a sufficiency to trigger asmr. To prove my point I can show two unintentional asmr videos that don't contain much sound or movement. The first video is simply a person staring at a book ua-cam.com/video/yeYa6E_Xsbk/v-deo.html , the second video is a silent tea ceremony ua-cam.com/video/nTth9hDFb-I/v-deo.html . Well, that's how I think about asmr.
Great comment! I think we might all be different for how our brains take in certain voices. For me the only thing that does it is unintentional voices. Not everyone has it but when they do it can put me in a drooling state. The other asmr styles just don't do it for me. Maybe I'm a rare breed? Haha.
@@sootheme5948 Yes, that's really odd. Most people experience asmr on multiple levels, like whispers, tapping, visuals, getting a massage etc. So you even choose "normal voices" over "whispering voices"? There was also another famous chess video that went viral with Tatiana Kosintseva analyzing chess games in a whispery voice. ua-cam.com/video/XvQY3MTz4cA/v-deo.html I'm sure you've heard of it. How about that one? If the volume's too low for you, you can just turn up the volume?
Yes I've heard that one. Very good. Whispering doesn't do it for me. Needs to be a voice. Other then that I don't pick up anything soothing from anything else. Been like that ever since I was a child. To the point where I'm numb and relaxed. But obviously not every voice does that. I could be at a store where a couple could be next to me and one of them has a very soothing voice and I can pick it up. It relaxes me all through my body. Just as I would be on pain killers haha. It's definately something interesting. If a teacher would have a soothing voice I wouldn't be able to concentrate in class. Just put it that way.
@@sootheme5948 Then maybe Bob Ross, John Butler or David Bull does it for you. I'm sure you've heard of them.
@@sootheme5948 I don’t think you’re rare at all. It sounds like you actually experience asmr. In real life, incidental asmr is how I experience it. Oftentimes, it’s female voices and it’s completely just their energy or the way they talk. It even happens when speaking to one of my family members & a friend of mine. There is no rhyme nor reason.
Ironically, I find many intentional asmrtists as trying too hard to achieve an experience they don’t know anything about. I also think people conflate/confuse the “oddly satisfying” with asmr all the time. They are not the same.
This was too interesting to watch :D
Thanks!
Looks like he's playing chess with his eyes closed. HE'S GOING FOR YOU, CARLSEN

Too interesting to fall asleep
It is if you're interested in chess 😊
Как же я люблю наш акцент 🤤
Is there more of this guy?
Absolutely!
At 2x speed it is pretty normal
A lot of people are finding this relaxing, but that queen on g3 is stressing me out!
Hahahahaha
I fell asleep in two seconds 😩
As intended :)
This is probably the best ASMR video ever made and Varasov probably doesn't even know it
Non-existent analysis. Basically minimalist commentary. Pretty bad.
This sounds relaxing honestly.
If you enjoy this I would like to recommend ASMR Chess as a good ASMR channel about Chess. (Duh)
Yes that already exists. My channel is about all unintentional asmr.
God loves you. Jesus says in John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”. Jesus Christ died for you so you could be saved from hell and live in heaven with Him after you die, and all you have to do is put your faith in Jesus Christ, that He died on the cross for your sin and rose again from the dead on the third day. Repent of all of your sins, and be cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and your name will be written in heaven! Jesus is the only way to heaven. May the Lord richly bless you.😊
There’s an afterlife? If so, I might rather go to hell so I can stay with my family. Heaven is not worth going to if my family is condemned somewhere else.
@@blakeedward5520 Hell is not somewhere you want to end up
@@pikapat321 I know what I want. I'll go where my family goes.
