  • In this video workshop, we will demonstrate how to create a computational fluid dynamics (CFD)-ready mesh using the Ansys Fluent Meshing watertight geometry workflow, which can be used for performing the conjugate heat transfer (CHT) analysis of a battery module. We will particularly see how to create linear mesh patterns and understand the different user inputs required. We will also perform the Share Topology operation to facilitate the generation of conformal polyhedra mesh. Access starting files for this lesson here → courses.ansys....

I know that heat transfer problem can be solved using finite volume method used by fluent. But since only solid body is modelled, isn't it better to use finite element method by Ansys mechanical? That way we don't have to deal with mesh complexities of fluent.

If you have heat source inputs, mechanical would do. But if you want to use Equivalent circuit methods or any of the other (more accurate) methods, only Fluent has that capability.
