    First of all... kudos for showing the failures and mistakes you made. A lot of times especially on UA-cam people tend to onyl show the bits that make them look like a professional. You didnt and that deserves my respect!
    Having done a fair bit of adventure riding myself i have made it a habit to turn around when i realise that my mind is not where it should be. The mistakes at the beginning would have been enough for me to say "stop, this is not how i usually ride, my confidence in myself is gone, my confidence in the bike is gone, turn around and try again later".
    Great to see you pushed through though 👍

    Great video mate. I can totally relate to your situation - one moment you think you can conquer the track and a couple drops of the bike later you feel like a total beginner with the confidence of a rooki. Happened to me last year trying to cross the green border from Croatia to Bosnia- after 9 hours I was at my limit still on top of the mountain- I still had to get down and even the easier sections became a huge struggle - ride safe 🤙

    Just found this! You are NOT stupid! Great adventure riding! Don’t start from 2nd gear, KTM’s like to rev stay in 1st that’s why it stalls so quick. Being scared keeps you alive! You should have more subs - great adventure well done you!

    Its very simple. Either you are a professional KTM rider (means super experienced and trained to offroad) or you simply buy a light bike. Have you relase stire pressure to 1,5? Don’t hink so. The 890 (220kg) is good for commercial adventure rides done by professional riders. You are not (nor am I) and should get the correct conclusion. It seems to be stress for you. If you get a bike with 140kg you will laugh about the same track and feel pure fun. These 890 bikes are NOT made for comfortably ride the dirt track. Dont mix up commercial videos and your own abilities. I know what I am talking about as I faced 100% of your experience elsewhere 😅.

    • @JRidesTheWorld
      @JRidesTheWorld  10 місяців тому

      Fully agree with your points. But i want to add that I’ve never experienced anything like this, my confidence went literally underground after the first crash and my mind started freaking out leading me to stupid mistakes. I did that track with my old 1290R without problems two years ago. So yes I’m definitely not Toby Price, but this is a good example to keep calm, rest up and get your mind / confidence back on track🙌

      TC also works better with higher RPMs because the electronics have more explosions to control traction, and the TC especially on the 7/890 is superb 👌
      Many told me to switch it of in the tricky bits, but I never did and also never had any issues of TC restricting me (on my 790).
