I honestly just feel so bad for Kendall. It's confirmed she was an alternate and based on stories from Kendall and Icesis, she only found out she was going the Friday before they started filming
Yeah she replaced TKB while they were sequestered because she got sick (unconfirmed if it was Covid). They pushed back filming by a couple of days so she could come up with the outfits for the season.
@@Carliethemelon TKB? Well they really didn't even try with the USA casting. All girlies from the latest All Stars, as if there wasn't more girl who needed the recognition.
@@tyagohiee They actually did try to cast queens that hadn't been on All Stars yet. No one wanted to do it because the exposure and compensation from this is lower than a regular All Stars. They also tried to get Detox but she refused. The reason for Mo and Juju (who was originally Manila) in UK and Raja, Silky and TKB for Canada is that they were still under contract. Anyways VS isn't coming back, it was being used as a proof of concept to get global All Stars greenlit.
My favorite season this year was All Stars 12, but the fact that Joey Jay stole 2 Ariel Versace's wigs in international television and production did nothing was literally criminal Watching Kelly mantle win the first 5 challenges of the season was a dream come true for me
the craziest moment was jujubee breaking in to the set to compete on her 10th season, but being eliminated episode 2, bc she punched michelle in the left tit...wild
Even though I didn't like that much “VS the World” format I would have loved to see “España VS the World”, a group of Spanish speaking queens reunited from different franchises would have been awesome! And España producers seem to understand better the Drag Race format than UK & Canada producers.
In all honesty Icesis could have been in the top for the first three episodes, and I wouldn’t have disagreed. She deserved at least a HIGH for the ball. Very glad that Ra’Jah won tho
icesis genuinely had the potential to be the only person in the entire franchises history with a track record of only wins. she could have won episodes 1, 2 and 3 and it would have felt correct. she was absolutely robbed
@@jaykknight2248 exactly. Rita did not deserve all that hate. As a French Canadian who's watched Rita evolve and blow up in Quebec since her season, I'm disgusted that the fans are still on her case. I think maybe her humor just doesn't translate well to English, especially with the language barrier. She's also said she won't be competing on Drag Race again because the hate really affected her. I'm guessing the fans won't complain, they've pretty much made up their minds about her, but I still think she didn't deserve the treatment she got. Also when will people realize that when a queen is favored, it's not her fault? It's not like they can go to production and say "You better favor me and help me get the top 4 even if I may not deserve it".
honestly the way "Fashion, Beauty, Runway, Pose. Icesis nails it on the nose" has lived rent free in my head for MONTHS now. Werk Mama Couture. That's all I've got to say.
Well at this point people are kind of still hating on her for blackface stuff. Earlier it was definitely all for production rigory though which really people shouldn't be hating on the Queens for.
There's a reason the production created, by liking her more than the fans do so they push her. Plus her personality and sense of humor doesn't go well with a lot of fans and there's the blackface stuff which certainly isn't helping
I'd love to know how she was more favoured than Silky and Ra'jah, on their third DS outing, where Silky even won a runway challenge wearing something that didn't fit the brief, lmao. I found Rita less forced on me than the US queens, thought I was losing my mind there for a bit.
The one person I feel the worst for in this season is Anita Wigl'It. She's one of my favorite DA's across this entire franchise, and the 1000% deserved another chance after she was sniped out of Drag Race Down Under WAY before her time. The problem is the season they cast her on worked completely against her strengths. As channels like this have said before, Canada puts a lot of focus on the runways alongside the challenge performances. So a solid challenge performance could be boosted by an incredible runway (as we've seen with people like PYTHIA, ADRIANA, and Miss Fiercalicious), and weaker runways can be used to justify putting someone in the bottom. Anita, though, is a lot more of a performance-based DA than she is a runway one. Her runways were never really standouts in Down Under, but more of her turns in comedy and performance challenges. So putting her on a season like this, which already emphasizes runways over performance, sorta set her up in a weak spot. To me, I think it would've been better to put her in UK Vs. The World, or even wait for when they'd do US Vs. The World. One of those could've worked more to her strengths, and I think someone like RuPaul got her humor more than someone like Brooke-Lynn Hytes would.
To be fair, Anita made it to snatch game, which ought to have been her strength, and completely bombed. I felt for Anita this season and was sad to see her underperform, but I think she got a fair shot and just didn’t rise to the occasion.
Ehh 2/3 times Anita was in the bottom we’re not look challenges or look related. And I’d even go as far as to say none of the winning or even top queens were boosted due to there runways. Anita just under performed. No sense in making excuses for her. Anita woulda probably went home early no matter who judged this season. Nothing about her snatch game was funny, her ball look was meh, and her verse was fine
she was literally in the bottom for the 2 performance based challenges.. girl groups and snatch game. it’s okay to say she just flopped bc your comment made no sense
Do you really think Anita performed well enough to be considered robbed in any of the challenges she was in..? She did good (everybody did good) in the first episode but had a lackluster runway, so if everyone did well, it's going to the runway. Then she bombed snatch game and didn't do well in the ball and went home after two times in the bottom? It seems like an unfortunately earned track record and there's nothing else to it.
They were definetly afraid of giving Icesis the wins, from what she said it looked like they wanted to push her but I mean she didn't really needed to be pushed, and tbh in the end her exiting by her own desition was the best outcome she could have.
@@DragDetective seeing queens like Silky and Victoria competing on their best moment was so amazing, and seeing legends like Ra'Jah and Icesis just slaying another season was incredible too
Appearantly Elektra Bionic (Italia 1) and Vivaldi (Holland 2) were asked to be on the season and Canadian immigration had issues with this. Hence why Icesis and Kendall were on this season, they were alternates
Icesis has already stated they were not an alternate. They and other winners (assuming Priyanka) were called for this season specifically. Kendall though was an alternate.
In the spy queens acting challenge, I thought Traci Melchor’s “directing” was ineffective to the point of potentially impacting the outcome. Namely with Vanity, the way she tried to communicate was very difficult for someone to act on. She used acting jargon like “cheat out” which I know, because I studied theatre but most people don’t know what that means. Vanity was clearly at a disadvantage in that challenge, but whereas we’ve seen some “directors” help queens improve their delivery and improve the overall piece, that wasn’t going to happen with Traci. Vanity may’ve done a bit better with a different director, probably not enough to save her elim, but better. All to say, in addition to drag race hiring better writers for acting challenges as suggested here, I think those challenges are infinitely better when the direction is intentional and queens get their best shot with a decent director who tries to get the best out of them rather than just barking orders or critiques. The acting challenges have become resoundingly terrible to the point of unwatchable, though, so if they continue in that direction… 🤷♀️🤮
Not only has a US queen now not made it to the finale on a vs the world season but it was the beloved Mayhem Miller. Derek’s favorite drag queen of all time
this season felt like the continuation of all stars 6. the sister season. honestly canada vs the world had the best finale episode I've seen in so long! I cried so much during this finale
I think Vanity should’ve been high for the snatch game, she was the only other queen I found funny that wasn’t in the top, also I think Victoria was better than Silky for the ball
I love Rajah and love that she got her crown, but this for me was Silky's Season. The storylines, the personality, the runways and the talent was undeniable.
I don't think it's a conspiracy that Rita was top two ep 1. She made Brooke laugh the most with the voices she did in her verse and the gag at the end of the song. And with her entrance look and queen runway, yeah I don't see why it's that hard to grab.
"...and Victoria looking the hottest a human has ever looked." Yo!!! When they first showed her with that catsuit!!! And that hair!! I literally yelled "GOTDAMN!" at my screen!! (at home by myself, do note) And then the next day I saw clips of the Queens live reaction to the finale (and the super cute #dictoria proposal) and was pretty sure Victoria had on the same catsuit, and I was like yes!! Keep wearing it! Never take it off!!! SHAT!
i think that production avoids queens from non english speaking franchises to save themselves from having to make the production more inclusive to queens who’s first language isn’t english. if they keep it all english speaking they don’t have to worry about the logistics of giving extra support for language barriers and to avoid criticism of putting them at a disadvantage like on US seasons where we see a lot of spanish speaking queens eliminated or critiqued in episodes like acting challenges where they may struggle with lines. i doubt we will see many international queens because of this, they just wanna keep it easy. it’s similar to why i don’t think they have drag kings, how are they going to tweak the challenges to allow for male runways etc. they’re avoiding having to rework the system they have in place, if you think about it realistically if they had a drag king then they wouldn’t be able to do the feminine focused challenges they do like balls and stuff without overhauling the format and accommodating to both styles without putting one style at an advantage or disadvantage. this isn’t me saying we shouldn’t have more international queens or drag kings i’m just giving my opinion as to why we haven’t seen them. personally i want to see both :) no hate pls just trying to make sense from productions point of view
These Vs. The World casting decisions remind me of artists going on a "World Tour" where its really just like a majority of the U.S and like 1 stop in a popular country.
but can we take a second to realize we almost got 3 black queens and a ciswoman as the top 4 whew 👏🏾👏🏾 also i’m so happy you mentioned kylie because no shade to monet or trinity but kylie and rajah was my all stars double win!! i hope to see the two of them do a winners photo shoot together 😩
I don't blame Icesis for being there, I blame production for asking her, like why? It really doesn't make any sense. The worst part is that they didn't even know what to do with her, it didn't seen like they envision this before asking her. They had more than 20 queens to ask from Canada and almost the entire cast of S1 is All Stars worthy, besides it would've been even better to have more international queens.
Unpopular opinion: Rita Baga deserved to be in the top for episode 1, her verse was incredibly unique and very clever, not to mention she was very funny the whole challenge, yes Ra’Jah O’Hara did good, but it was nothing we haven’t seen before so her being just high made sense to me, I think sometimes people can be clouded by their dislike for a queen and are too quick to call out riggory when it isn’t actually there
Very agree. We know Ra'jah could carry a verse, but Rita.... she was comedic and it was great. Plus, Rita had a runway which completed the assignment more than Ra'jah.
I agree with the last part of the comment, but still think Silky was the best one Rita did have my favorite verse from her group but what made me prefer Vanity, Victoria, Ra'Jah, Icesis and specially Silky were the performances and the looks
Elektra Bionic of Italia 1 (the only winless winner) was supposed to be on CanVTW, which would've been a slay, but all in all, I loved the season so much so I can't complain at all
also a bit of conspiracy regarding part of the finale ... it seemed a little random to have Monet there interviewing the queens (sitting on a throne no less). my theory is that she was assumed to be the winner of AS7 at that time, which makes more sense then to have the 'queen of all queens' interviewing the CVTW contenders. teaspills that came out ab the AS7 finale said that the cast and crew on AS7 congratulated Monet after the final lipsync and that it seemed to be pretty clear that she had won the crown... until we got the actual crowning lmao. nothing to be taken too seriously, just a theory.
Seeing two US queens in the Top 2 of an international season, particularly when those 2 queens were both viewed as the robbed queens of AS6…… you can’t tell me the season wasn’t TOTALLY rigged. The riggory began with the casting! Of course one of them was going to win!
How was Silky robbed in AS6? She didnt do well at the beginning (because of toxic fans) then got rightfully eliminated then went on an amazing lip sync run but clearly lost the last lipsync. She was never robbed. She basically got an entire episode to highlight how amazing a lipsyncer she is. It was also one of the highest rated episodes of AS6. Rajah also wasnt robbed either. The queen who in fact did get robbed was Eureka. She should have won the pink table talk challenge instead of Ginger, If she did, she wouldnt have been eliminated and would have gone into the finale with the best track record and clear front runner. Kylie would have likely been eliminated at top 5. But production wanted a trans winner and had to shift wins around to justify Kylie winning.
Agreed….. I don’t think she was a robbed queen either, but a lot of other fans do. Maybe not robbed of the title, but certainly robbed of getting back into the competition. Eureka deserved to get through the lip synch showdown, especially after clearly winning the final lip synch, but there was a lot of noise that Silky should of got through after her great run that episode. Regardless, I was really making the point that this season felt predictable from the moment the cast was announced. There’s a reason that no US queen has ever been eliminated from one of these competitions. American production company, huge American audience, beloved American queens who are universally viewed as fan favourites overdue for a title….. does anyone seriously think that this season wasn’t rigged to get that result? I love that Ra’Jah got her win, and I loved seeing Silky getting to the final. I just hated that it happened on an international season.
the thing ab AS7 was that when the fandom is so heavily behind one queen, production is probably going to crown them. we've seen this in a lot of more recent seasons (US14, AS6 come to mind), where a queen w a 'worse' track record can win if they have the fan support and do well enough in the finale to justify the win. the fans were kinda split among these CVTW contenders (except for Rita), or at least much less demonstrably in one queen's camp, so that opens it up considerably to just crown the queen who did the best in the lipsync for the crown. when you have something like AS7, where a majority of the fans want one queen to win and have been saying things all season like "if x queen doesn't win, it's rigged" (even if the opposite could actually be true), then it's 100% in production's favor to crown the heavy fan favorite no matter the results of the LSFTC (especially if their track record is good enough to justify it).
I think for once I entirely agree with your "how it should have gone" and as you said it doesn't change the track records much. Victoria, Silky and Icesis performed the best this season but I'm glad Ra'jah got a win as she definitely deserved one. Although now I feel like Silky and Victora deserve to win a season too, wins for everyone!
I really loved the season, and it wasn't that rigged after the Icesis elimination, it was pretty fairly judged, also ep1 should've been all queen in the top except the btm3
Canada vs the World was missing the World. But it was a really great show to watch. Yeah! Raja! And Silky was amazing, and I wasn’t always a fan, but after All Stars 6, definitely a huge fan meeting her twice this past year. Brooklyn as the host was amazing! Oui oui! Bonjour!
I think Rita should’ve been in the top episode 1. She was a GREAT rep for the campy queens this season and I think in episode 1, she was the best at being campy, and vanity was the best at being fierce. It felt very even to me. Now, the same people that had an issue with Rita winning this episode I can guarantee had NO problem with Jinkx winning the tik tok challenge despite not dancing NOR branding …
What’s your opinion on what Icesis confirmed, basically saying that Brooklyn is exclusively the face of the show and doesn’t actually make any decisions. That the executive producers make all the decisions. She said this at roscoes while it was airing.
No offense, I love this channel v much, but is there anything Rita could do to not get shit on tbh? She had a great Runway and showed off her brand with a good verse in ep 1, and that's not good enough. Then, she gets top 2 in an acting challenge and it's bc production put her there by writing the role for her, "guaranteeing her" a top placement. But she still had to do well to get that placement, so why not just let her have her flowers?
ur analysis of why rita wasn't bottom in episode 4 blew my mind lol i never thought of it that way & never realized they always do bottom 3 before top 5, thanks for that insight. i think this season is going to continue growing on me. apart from rita blackface being there, even the bad moments have their humor and purpose. victoria had a great storyline, the reaction to icesis, and the heart of silky made this season feel pretty emotionally satisfying
Eh for vanity to think she was carrying a lot on s3, ever since she said “the acting challenge reminded me of how we had to act str8 in school” I could tell she was full of 💩 anything to get a woe is me storyline
At the start of this season, I'm ashamed to admit I held that very toxic and disgusting attitude that Victoria Scone had to "prove herself" to "me" to be acceptable in this community. Never mind the fact that she very much is part of the community and has done so much more for it than I will ever do. When "fish"gate happened I was squarely in my feels about it. Honestly, getting to know her and her drag made me seriously self-reflect on my attitude towards women and their place in what I perceived to be a "male-dominated" place (even though drag is nothing of the sort and never has been). This season was frankly weak from a production pov, but just for that inner reflection, it was more than worth it. I honestly feel like she won this season, what a fucking run. I love Ra'jah and I'm happy for her, but god damn Victoria ATE IT UP.
To wish for one queen from every franchise for these international all stars is totally adequate, however, due to language barriers simply not an option. Not every single drag Queen from around the world knows English to a level that it would make for a fair competition (let alone do e.g. a Spain vs world with queens from US / Canada / UK unless they have a Hispanic background)
Did it ever occur to anyone that just because most people dont get Ritas drag that doesnt mean the judges dont? And maybe just maybe they love her drag and in their subjective opinions she should've won all those challenges. We act like because a majority of the fan base think some one should or should'nt win thats facts.
This was my favorite season of the year. The cast was fantastic. The challenges were great. The storytelling and edit overall was great, respecting all the queens--even the ones that fell short--and showing how much drama can come when the competition is between friends instead of rivals. Also, best Lip Sync for the Crown since season 11.
Victoria's exit was due to injury, she is one who a lot a pressure to prove was placed upon as the first woman drag queen on RuPauls drag race. Drag has evolved as an art form from my young days of end of the pier and parody performances just for laughs as it made the breeders feel safe. She was also the first real plus sized one on our side of the pond.
Really agree with Ur "how it should have went statement", production couldn't know but as a storyline, icesis getting a Bendela track record would have been absolutely iconic
I agree that more franchises of the show being represented in these Vs The World seasons would be a lot better but I think the reason they’ve done it the way the have is probably a logistical problem. It’s quite possible that they can’t just cast any queen they want as they might need to offer work visas or stuff like that since they are essentially hiring a queen, especially in countries like Canada and the UK that don’t have much wiggle room when it comes to their international connections (post-Brexit UK especially so). I’m definitely not an expert on this and they might just be hired as independent contractors which you wouldn’t need a visa for but it’s a possibility that this is a hurdle they have to get passed in casting.
Kind of hard to include franchises like España, Holland, Thailand, Italia or France (and the ones coming) since most of those queens don't speak fluent english, and the VSTW format has to be in english, because it's the most "international" language.
To be fair to Rita for the acting challenge like it was weird but the "mother" character I think was supposed to be inspired by Judi Dench's character in the James Bond movies. She might as well be his mother. At least that's how I took it
I have the biggest conspiracy theory there is a lost edit or a storyline production threw away halfway through filming (maybe because of queens calling it out during filming). I think there is a definite break after Icesis's exit. Like I think production was like "Uh-oh" and quickly tried to just be fair.... expect spy queens idk what was going on that entire episode.
i'm sure the versus the world format being so limited on who atteneds and can attend is based on the viability of working visas for the queens to enter and work in the host country. The Uk and canada are not exactly the most immigration friendly environments. I wonder if the rumoured global allstars will finally get based this somehow.
it changes everything if icesis won all of those you saying at 39:50 it doesnt change anything really is kinda off, like having this much narrative riggory makes it so someone cant truly just demolish a competition and get the pp score they deserve, icesis may have not left if she felt it was being judged properly, she should of gotten one of the best pp scores of any queen and let her win simple but they couldn't allow that
I really hate this all stars format for these international seasons. I feel the queens are just too afraid to eliminate the US queens because they're more popular and it ends up being the US vs the UK every time.
it really hurts to see the same fans who preach anti bullying for drag queens are the same ones putting Rita down. it’s like people forget that once you don’t like someone that doesn’t mean they stop being a real person with real feelings and experiences.
We all know that thank you for youre scoop! She addressed it, she apologized and it seemed sincere. So people need to stop to use eternaly this argument to try to justify their hate. They hated her way before this story came out.
Also if Icesis did stay(I wish she did but personally her mental health matters more) she would’ve won the the stand up and probably would’ve won the lip sync
Something I thought this video would mention: On episode 1, Kendall's entrance line was "Kenny Gen still lookin like a slice. Canada versus the world, let's roll the dice." Then we heard it again when she was saying her lyrics to Anjulie. Then we heard it again during her performance. And then Icesis said "roll the dice" in her lyrics. I was gagged that 2 team members didn't notice they had the same lyrics. And I just think Kendall ran that "lookin like a slice" into the ground.
What disappointed me about Victoria as Kim Woodburn is how easy it ought to have been for her to utterly annihilate everyone with that. She's got the look, she almost sounds like her already, she's comedic. But then she just did Victoria. Legit I can sound more like Kim Woodburn. Plus, as the judges said, she never built up the character to eventually go off the rails which you really want from a Kim Woodburn impression. I want her to drunkenly berate somebody. So I think it was that expectation vs reality that had her placed low.
I'm from Spain and I'm afraid we won't have many spanish queens in vs the world, cause I don't think many are fluent enough to record a whole season in english 😢 but The Macarena has worked in the UK and can speak english 🤩
Iv said it a million times. All star 7 should of had a live finale. Should have had an acting challenge written by a famous writer. They should have had bigger guest judges. Diversity in challenges.
The funniest moment this season was on the episode 1 runway when Rajah says her look is something she would wear to the grocery store, lookin for eggplants.
I honestly was shocked that they didn't push Rita to the final 2. Maybe they were just concerned with having a Canadian Queen on the finale, without Icesis, Rita was the only option left. I think they didn't want to crown her and production were looking to crown Icesis, bc she is a winner already.
I still believe that Monét being in this season finale episode and on SCDR were production choices made with her AS7 win in mind, but viewer's reaction change that lastminute (as we saw with Ru's added line about the season journey, instead of only counting the lip-sync for the crown).
I think seasons like as6 and canvstw are so werid cause they crown someone then don't give them any editing in the season to show they're winner material
Unpopular opinion: Anita Wigl’it had one of the the best verses in Bonjour, Hi but her runway dragged her down completely. (There’s no day passing without me singing “Part-time man but full-time diva.”😂)
Surprisingly, you didn't mention the controversy that Raja'h started a few weeks before the finale. Raja´h accused the producers of favouritism. Raja'h probably won the crown, despite having the weaker track record, so that production could reject accusations of favouritism against her.
The placements in Episode 2 are solely due to editing in my opinion. As queens have told before, pretty much every queen gets good and positive feedback from the judges, but only the good or bad (whether they place high or low) ultimately make the cut. I'm assuming either Silky or Victoria received mostly positive critiques, but the negative ones made for better TV (Silky and Victoria both opened up about their feelings) so they edited the good critiques out.
fun fact : the top 3 of the first episode are the three queens that used french in their verse : vanity : bonjour, hi, je m'appelle vanity,... au revoir, it was nice to meet ya rita : the tea is boiling mes chéris ra'jah : hello ! bonjour ! ooooh my gaaad 🤌🇫🇷le drague queene🥖🍷
I strongly disagree that Victoria didn't deserve to be low for snatch game. She wasn't funny, the impression was very good but she told no jokes or even used any of Kim's iconic freak out moments. The point of Snatch Game isn't making an accurate impression, it's about making people laugh. She was pretty safe to low that week but her runway was stellar
I think what people are missing with Rita Baga is the fact that she is french canadian. I won't argue wether she is being pushed or not. But in Canada season 1 or CvsTW, people need to understand that within Canada the "rivalry" or "representation" of french canadian (Québécois en français) in Canada is a real thing over there. Québécois people are considered differently within the Canadians provinces due to the fact that they speak french. So i feel like for Canada, whether its main season or All Stars, it's important to a diversity that represents the diversity that is Canada
I honestly just feel so bad for Kendall. It's confirmed she was an alternate and based on stories from Kendall and Icesis, she only found out she was going the Friday before they started filming

However Anita had some good runway, she had some pretty strong one, the finale would've been cool if wasn't a finale and the ice one
I Loved How You Did The Riggory Of and How It Would Have Went In One Video!
it can't work for longer seasons but this might be the new standard for 6 ep seasons
@@DragDetective oh yeah that makes sense lol but I’m glad you decided to do it for this one!
Loved the season so much, and I totally didn't expect to like it
my thoughts exactly, I was so pleasantly surprised
@@DragDetective seeing queens like Silky and Victoria competing on their best moment was so amazing, and seeing legends like Ra'Jah and Icesis just slaying another season was incredible too
Me at the Drag Detective speaking French - "I don't know what the fuck she's saying but girl I am LIVING!"
Appearantly Elektra Bionic (Italia 1) and Vivaldi (Holland 2) were asked to be on the season and Canadian immigration had issues with this.
Hence why Icesis and Kendall were on this season, they were alternates
and Elektra's english isnt good enough they said
Icesis has already stated they were not an alternate. They and other winners (assuming Priyanka) were called for this season specifically. Kendall though was an alternate.
I love Elektra Bionic, I would love to see her compete internationally 😍
Wasn’t Trinity K Bonet an alternate too? Thought I saw that online

This
Exactly!
Yeah my unpopular opinion is that I really didn't like silky's made from scratch garment at all It was super unfinished looking
I LOVE that you called Silky, Rajah and Vanity “SWV” … that’s lowkey iconic lmfaooooo
I guess you could... I feel "Weak" from how iconic it is
@@Awesomenesswithacherryontop lmfaooooo that was so “punny” !!!!
A spin off where fan favourite queens compete for a charity by their choice and the winner gets to donate the amount they won could be cute
Idk why. I think people just don't like her. This video feels biased as well.
"...and Victoria looking the hottest a human has ever looked."
Yo!!! When they first showed her with that catsuit!!! And that hair!! I literally yelled "GOTDAMN!" at my screen!! (at home by myself, do note)
And then the next day I saw clips of the Queens live reaction to the finale (and the super cute #dictoria proposal) and was pretty sure Victoria had on the same catsuit, and I was like yes!!
This season would have been perfect for this though because Canada isn't only English-speaking AND is pretty known for being multi-cultural.
Why did I walked out of the room and come back in to "I've seen a lot of balls"? 💀
No I agree, It looks rigged to have the winner in top (even though Icesis slayed). But it also looks bad to have a recent winner failing.
Unpopular opinion: Rita Baga deserved to be in the top for episode 1, her verse was incredibly unique and very clever, not to mention she was very funny the whole challenge, yes Ra’Jah O’Hara did good, but it was nothing we haven’t seen before so her being just high made sense to me, I think sometimes people can be clouded by their dislike for a queen and are too quick to call out riggory when it isn’t actually there
I AGREE
also worthy mentioning that she had a great runway that episode too so it made sense to me 🤷🏽♂️
Very agree. We know Ra'jah could carry a verse, but Rita.... she was comedic and it was great. Plus, Rita had a runway which completed the assignment more than Ra'jah.
I agree with the last part of the comment, but still think Silky was the best one
Rita did have my favorite verse from her group but what made me prefer Vanity, Victoria, Ra'Jah, Icesis and specially Silky were the performances and the looks
Also her runway was one of (if not) the best that night.
omg visiting from the future and you got the global all stars cast you wished for, 1 from each of the 12 franchises represented !
Elektra Bionic of Italia 1 (the only winless winner) was supposed to be on CanVTW, which would've been a slay, but all in all, I loved the season so much so I can't complain at all
also a bit of conspiracy regarding part of the finale ... it seemed a little random to have Monet there interviewing the queens (sitting on a throne no less). my theory is that she was assumed to be the winner of AS7 at that time, which makes more sense then to have the 'queen of all queens' interviewing the CVTW contenders. teaspills that came out ab the AS7 finale said that the cast and crew on AS7 congratulated Monet after the final lipsync and that it seemed to be pretty clear that she had won the crown... until we got the actual crowning lmao. nothing to be taken too seriously, just a theory.
no lol
Episode 1 should’ve just been a non elimination with top 6 queens
Fully agree. Campy queens deserve to be celebrated as well even in non-comedy challenges if they can use their strengths well.
The way she spelled R-I-T-A during the first part of her verse was so gooooood, she deserved that top
rita fullt deserved her top 2 spot n some people r just in denial about having a massive boner for icesis
What’s your opinion on what Icesis confirmed, basically saying that Brooklyn is exclusively the face of the show and doesn’t actually make any decisions. That the executive producers make all the decisions. She said this at roscoes while it was airing.
I just want to say I notice the increasing detail of your edits, and I am really proud to see grow, and conquer your own corner of the internet.
2 AM and I'm watching this while doing my thesis cuz I can't sleep 🤣🤣 What a way to make my midnight (?) 🤣
I loved Rita in both of her seasons and I thought she was going to win Canada S1. She's always been so much fun to me. ❤️❤️❤️
I also thought Vanity should have won UK3, just cuz they made her lip sync so many times and gave us THE show. ☺️
This is the season that introduced me into the world of RPDR😊
I truly truly belive icesis could and should of won every challange fr fr
omg i’m SO EXCITED for spooky content with u!!!!
The speed in which I dropped all exam prep efforts when I got the notification... We WILL be watching right now!!!!
Enjoy the break! And good luck on the exam ❤️
@@DragDetective Already at the eleventh mark and I’m living. Thank you so much lovely!!
At least that's how I took it
The way he correctly predicted everything about Global All Stars at 40:47
I have the biggest conspiracy theory there is a lost edit or a storyline production threw away halfway through filming (maybe because of queens calling it out during filming). I think there is a definite break after Icesis's exit. Like I think production was like "Uh-oh" and quickly tried to just be fair.... expect spy queens idk what was going on that entire episode.
The reason why I think Rita was on top in the first episode was to ensure that Vanity won the lipsync, since the episode was totally focused on her.
i'm sure the versus the world format being so limited on who atteneds and can attend is based on the viability of working visas for the queens to enter and work in the host country. The Uk and canada are not exactly the most immigration friendly environments. I wonder if the rumoured global allstars will finally get based this somehow.
Vs the world also shouldn't have elliminations. Just rack up points and the top 4 comes from that
Really wanting the españa vs the world rumors to be true
The line, that’s just how I rate balls, and I’ve seen a lot of balls now is peak humor when you’ve zoned out and come back to that
it changes everything if icesis won all of those you saying at 39:50 it doesnt change anything really is kinda off, like having this much narrative riggory makes it so someone cant truly just demolish a competition and get the pp score they deserve, icesis may have not left if she felt it was being judged properly, she should of gotten one of the best pp scores of any queen and let her win simple but they couldn't allow that
I really hate this all stars format for these international seasons. I feel the queens are just too afraid to eliminate the US queens because they're more popular and it ends up being the US vs the UK every time.
DO NOT forget the alliance of Silky and Rita. My ears perked up when I heard that in untucked 😚
I loved that lmao Silky was in right away 😂
it really hurts to see the same fans who preach anti bullying for drag queens are the same ones putting Rita down. it’s like people forget that once you don’t like someone that doesn’t mean they stop being a real person with real feelings and experiences.

I loved this season but I wonder how it would’ve gone with its original cast. Since apparently about half of the cast were alternates.
Canada vs the world was such a runway season, it featured some of the best drag race looks you've ever seen
Icesis is my absolute fave. Hope to see her compete again. She's got the stuff to beat them all
I-C-E-S-I-S is my favorite verse EVER. She really ate the challenge and she really proved herself to be one of my favorite winners yet again 💖
You called SRV … SWV in the middle of this! Lol 😂
A little casual riggory, rather than a complete beast of a riggamorris
Iv said it a million times. All star 7 should of had a live finale. Should have had an acting challenge written by a famous writer. They should have had bigger guest judges. Diversity in challenges.
33:29 For AS7, as much as I love and am so happy Jinx won…it felt like it was her season to win (or maybe that’s how it felt for me)
The funniest moment this season was on the episode 1 runway when Rajah says her look is something she would wear to the grocery store, lookin for eggplants.
I honestly was shocked that they didn't push Rita to the final 2. Maybe they were just concerned with having a Canadian Queen on the finale, without Icesis, Rita was the only option left. I think they didn't want to crown her and production were looking to crown Icesis, bc she is a winner already.
I LOVVVED THIS SEASON SO MUCH!THE CAST MADE THE SEASON AMAZEBALLSS!!@
I still believe that Monét being in this season finale episode and on SCDR were production choices made with her AS7 win in mind, but viewer's reaction change that lastminute (as we saw with Ru's added line about the season journey, instead of only counting the lip-sync for the crown).
Wait what?
nah jinkx was just busy already
Seems there is an error in the laughs per second chart for Victoria Scone. It should be .102 not .054 like Ra`Jah
I think seasons like as6 and canvstw are so werid cause they crown someone then don't give them any editing in the season to show they're winner material
Yes Rajah looked like she’s as gonna win the entire season and then Kylie won and I honestly thought Victoria or Silky was gonna win this season
Literally, like what’s the point. Maybe to set them up for a future season? Maybe Silky for a 4th time? She said she’ll always accept… who knows.
Ra jah won this cause she lost AS6 and kylie and ra jah needto both have crowns so the fandom is at peace
It was smart for Rajah to win, because now she can be on an all winners season. And fans (like me) would love it!
18:30 same, same...
Rita would have made it to finale without riggery anyway!!
fun fact : the top 3 of the first episode are the three queens that used french in their verse :
vanity : bonjour, hi, je m'appelle vanity,... au revoir, it was nice to meet ya
rita : the tea is boiling mes chéris
ra'jah : hello ! bonjour ! ooooh my gaaad
🤌🇫🇷le drague queene🥖🍷
I strongly disagree that Victoria didn't deserve to be low for snatch game. She wasn't funny, the impression was very good but she told no jokes or even used any of Kim's iconic freak out moments. The point of Snatch Game isn't making an accurate impression, it's about making people laugh. She was pretty safe to low that week but her runway was stellar
Vanity should've been high on snatch game
Your content is always entertaining
I think what people are missing with Rita Baga is the fact that she is french canadian. I won't argue wether she is being pushed or not. But in Canada season 1 or CvsTW, people need to understand that within Canada the "rivalry" or "representation" of french canadian (Québécois en français) in Canada is a real thing over there. Québécois people are considered differently within the Canadians provinces due to the fact that they speak french. So i feel like for Canada, whether its main season or All Stars, it's important to a diversity that represents the diversity that is Canada
