Unironically one of the most emotional scenes in all of Marvel history.
I just watched the film and had a hard time with the first act. Seemed a little too self reflexive and chaotic. But Act 2 settled down and Act 3 delivered in spades. That’s rare for modern blockbusters which often start strong but peeter out by the climax. This film was the opposite and did a beautiful job of tying up things for not only this franchise but the Wolverine one too. Stellar job and the Madonna climax was incredible. I had to re watch it 5 times. I understand why this film grossed over 1 billion dollars. ❤
@@soundtreks I'm inclined to agree. This movie was a crescondo. I've heard Ryan Reynolds doesn't want to make anymore Deadpool movies. I don't blame him. This trilogy is pretty good. If it lays to rest here, I'm satisfied. I felt the same about Hugh Jackman appearing as Wolverine in "Logan". It would've been an excellent last outing as the character, but so would this one. He brought his A-game in this movie. Even when he could've phoned it in, he didn't. It ended up paying respects to "Logan" after all. It also became an excellent swan song for 20th Century Fox in general.

I legitimately cried a bit at this. I remember the older comics and watched the original xmen trilogy in theaters. Watched the Wolverine movies. This line really sums up Wolverines character. He was the worst person to have on a team, till he was the right person. The dude always came through regardless. No. Matter. What.

It had been decades since I watched any of the tos animated series.
After lower decks and strange new worlds came out I went and watched Ogs and I tell you I was jumping for joy every time I caught something the newer shows had reference.

There's no other actors who could have pulled this off. There friendship and there passion for these characters were a perfect storm. I lost my shit when Wolverine put his mask on.

“For the first time in my life I’m proud to wear this suit”. That quote hit me with straight emotion when I was in the theaters and the montage on top of it man. Shawn Levy put MCU back on track while giving closure to a decade long universe.
I like to think that somewhere in an afterlife (or just life, X-Men don't stay dead...), his Charles smiled knowing he'd gotten through.
So good. Took two self loathing guys to better each other and to be the heroes the multiverse needed. Please have these two come back for more MCU adventures
Unlikely. Ryan renolds has already said that this is his last deadpool movie. Plus I think this is for the best. They got a perfect ending. No need to milk them and subject them to the dumpster fire that is the MCU

And them setting Wolverine and Deadpool up to live together as roommates is begging for an another movie for them 2. And we really didn’t clear nothing up with him and Vanessa. If him being surrounded by loved ones was the endgame they were looking for, they would’ve stop at Deadpool 2.

That line was perfect and so heart felt and genuine coming from Deadpool like he's not stupid he knows what he is he is just some guy that fucks bad people up for money but wolverine is a hero and helps save the world all the time.
This is top-level Marvel (now including the 20th Century Fox heroes). They find ways to inject heart into their characters, crafting heroes with motivations that an audience can relate to - a desire to matter, regret for past actions, imposter syndrome, etc.

I like to believe it wasn't just two people bridging the gap instead of one that stopped them from dying. But rather, the sheer awe of the moment, the unity, the adrenaline, and Deadpool seeing Wolverine's abs, had put both their healing factors into overdrive.
Without Deadpool seeing Wolverine's abs they wouldn't succeed, sure 😂

This line hit so hard having to have watched Hugh put on the claws for the first time in the first X-Men movie and following along his journey for almost 24 years. Now everything has really come full circle. What a legendary moment to witness

I'm a long LONG time Madonna fan and I don't usually get into covers or certain remixes etc, but wow. This brought so much life back into the song that I didn't even think was possible.

I'll be honest, I had as much emotion in this scene as seeing the "On your left" scene from End Game. It was so good. Hugh Jackman does so well playing Wolverine, and I'm glad Ryan Reynolds brought DP to life so well. . Til he's 90 feels so true, but for both of them.
