I disagree and think that the comparison (leaving series 8 and 9 completely out) was useless and took over the Apple advertisement strategy to compare their new products to those from many years ago instead of the most recent ones. They do this on purpose because the differences over the last years have been super minor. But to see this strategy also from a UA-camr is shocking.
+1 I'm on the series 7 40mm wifi aluminum, it needs battery service or upgrading. still very on the fence about upgrading. series 10 looks p much the same but a little fatter
I still have the Series 2. Most people don’t upgrade phones or watches every year now with the micro changes. I will upgrade soon to a Series 8 or 9 probably. Not getting the 10.
My biggest disappointment was the discrepancy between Ultra and Series. I really want the Sleep Apnea feature. It's the number one most interesting feature for me personally in ages. But I already have the Ultra 1, which for whatever reason, won't get the Sleep Apnea feature. Getting the Series 10 is a massive downgrade when it comes to battery life, and getting the Ultra 2 at this point knowing it does not feature the improved neural engine, when Apple is all about Apple Intelligence and neural engine moving forward, feels awkward. I've ordered the Series 10 in Titanium; I'm going to give it a good spin. But I'm 90% certain the battery is going to get annoying really fast after getting accustomed to the battery life of my Ultra 1. Getting the Ultra 2 is just out-of-the-question as it didn't get the S10 SiP like the Series 10.
I’m in the group of moving from an Ultra to a 46mm Series 10. Originally picked the Ultra 2yrs ago for screen size and partly battery life but have never liked the chunky design and with the Series 10 faster charging, that helps with the lower battery life.
@@emilsecker7881makes sense to me, they get the same screen size as an ultra but thinner design. And the fast charge helps alleviate the lower battery life. I’m upgrading from a series 5 to 10 so I’m excited

Yes it comes down to battery life. Considering going from Ultra 1 with 91% battery health (been wearing everyday since release) to 10. Would imagine the 10 would be close to the ultra 1 with poor battery health.
@@anthonynusbaum56 91% isn't poor by any means. Ultra 1 with 91% battery health should still be far superior compared to Series 10 at 100% battery health. We don't know the battery capacity of the Series 10 just yet, but judging by how Series 9 (45mm) had 308 mAh, and the Series 10 is even thinner, its most likely not getting any bigger. The battery capacity of Ultra 1 is 542 mAh. Thats almost twice the capacity. Your Ultra 1 battery health needs to drop closer to 60-70% before its start resembling the Series 10. Of course, it's not as simple as comparing battery capacity directly. The S10 SiP is more power efficient compared to the S8 SiP in the Ultra 1 etc. But still.

I’m upgrading from series 7 the 41mm to the series 10 in the 42mm. I’d really like to see a real life screen size comparison between the new 42mm size watches and the previous 45mm display. Not everyone has large wrists but I’ll see how it goes the Jet Black looks slick.
Considering upgrading from Series 4 stainless steel. I really expected much more from Series 10. It’s such a bummer that you can’t even do the blood oxygen sensor readings with it. They also need to implement the always on second hand to all watch faces
I have to say that this ‘review’ is 100% more informative than everyone else’s that I have watched. Where theirs are basically ads for Apple this review contains actual useful things to use in deciding whether or not to upgrade. Thanks !!
i really like that they haven’t changed the design much. it looks like a classic apple watch which is unique, if they changed it it would probably end up looking like every other smart watch
Never had an Apple Watch but always had the newest iPhone. Just ordered the Series 10 46mm In Jet Black. I’m just hoping it’s not too big for my small wrist but I have big fingers but small wrists so I opted for the bigger screen option. Plus the health features are really good. But how accurate are they?

Really excited to go from my series 6 aluminum to series 10 slate titanium. I would have went for the Ultra due to battery life, but I work in the dental field so wearing it with tight cuffs like smocks wouldn’t work well with the ultra. Plus, I sleep with it every night to track my sleep (I don’t sleep well), so larger would be cumbersome to sleep with. I will be sad about missing the blood oxygen app… but my oxygen seems to have been normal so far. Hopefully the hardware gets activated again in the future.
The series 9 is aprox 150$ less than the 10 where I am so Im considering going for that, it would be my first Apple Watch and I can't see much to push me for the 10, in fact the glossy black is putting me off. What would you guys suggest?
I also have the Series 7 and will be upgrading it this time around. I just really wish Apple would redesign the watch face. I just really dislike the look of it. I really love the round watch face design like the Samsung Galaxy watch. It just looks like a proper watch.
I liked the review, the only thing that was missing for me was you didn’t talk about the new black color and how well the shiny finish held up, did it get any scratches, etc.
Did they add any features to the camera app it been updated a bit last yr where you can switch camera modes and zoom in using the fail and I use the Apple watch as my monitor when filming myself
I’ve a series 7 and cancelled my Ultra 2 order as I couldn’t justify the price. Was thinking of just getting the series 10 at nearly half the cost. But not really seeing a huge advantage to upgrading from the series 7. Especially as my series 7 battery really hasn’t changed much and the series 10 isn’t adding much more battery life. Thank you for this comparison!
Thanks for such a helpful video, Brian! Much appreciated! I have an AW6 and want to upgrade. However, I’m one of those people that use the blood oxygen feature daily. It’s nice to know that the hardware is in the AW10. Thanks for sharing this piece of information and for all the great content. 👍🏼👍🏼
Same. I have a series 7. I saw no need to upgrade until now. I will miss my oxygen sensor. I like the idea of the ultra but it look very chunky. I am curious if the black titanium gives it a smaller look. My series 7 is in that dark green color which I will miss. Anyway, on to a new watch.
Great video, Brian. I'm upgrading from a Series 4 and have ordered the 10 46mm aluminium. It should arrive on Friday. The 4 is still working okay, though it doesn't hold a charge like it used to. I've heard the watchOS 11 update won't include the Series 4, which would leave the 4 vulnerable security-wise. Looking forward to Friday!
The thing is though, Apple will update older devices if they do find some sort of security flaw. I remember they’ve updated older iPhones like the iPhone 5 way after its support was dropped because of a security issue
Is it just me or does the Series 10 (when the screen is "off" ) the second hand sometimes stops for a few extra seconds and then continues going? I've noticed it in a few videos already. Idk if its a software issue or just a visual illusion or not.
I really like the new shape of the Series 10. Yea I know, it's subtle to most, but it's completely obvious to me. It's wider, less rectangular, and more circular now with even bigger corner radius'. it genuinely has more of a circular watch vibe to me now. People might call it a minor design tweak, but honestly this is the biggest change to the shape and geometry of the Apple Watch in its history IMO. Tied with Series 4.
I went from series 4 to 7 and noticed the screen scratched too easily. Late last year I swapped for an ultra 2. Going multiple days on a charge is pretty nice. The GPS accuracy is noticeable. I also don't worry about the watch getting dinged when inadvertently hitting things with my wrist. Very happy with titanium.
As a fellow series 7 user, I’m so ready to upgrade to this series 10. My biggest asks were a larger display and the ability to play media through the speakers.
Solid Review!!! Loved the size comparison, the audio test, as well as the podcast listening demo. Also agree with your take on switching from an Ultra to a series 10.
The LTPO Always-On finally moving up from 1 frame per minute to 1 frame per second is the upgrade from my Series 5 I've been waiting for. Might pick me up a Series 10 in late 2025 when I replace my iPhone XR with an iPhone 14 Plus
Thanks a lot.. a new watch buyer so very appreciated. Trying to decide between black aluminum and titanium slate. Was heading toward titanium because I didn't want to put it in a case to protect it from scratching but see in the close-up at around 5.30 the side of the watch looks scratched. Did you notice this was a problem with the titanium as well as the aluminum? :)

I have the series 7 as well, I’m updating. I just want to see the difference between ultra 2
Always love your content. I got a s6 44 and might jump to s10 46
The only problem is that now the Series 10 is thinner, my size nine straps are too loose.
I am receiving my Apple Watch 10 tomorrow. I am upgrading from Apple Watch 7. I do wish it had a bit of better battery life, but I can manage
As a fellow series 7 user, I’m so ready to upgrade to this series 10. My biggest asks were a larger display and the ability to play media through the speakers.
Congratulations you're officially an apple sheep
@ thank you, i am honored to be another one of the random 100,000,000s people who is using the most popular smart watch on the planet 💀
Had the Apple Watch SE 1st gen so I’m happy my husband is buying me the 10 for crimbo!
I’m upgrading from a series 2! Can’t believe I held on for so long!! Just wish I got the oxygen sensor with the series 10…
I currently have the ultra gen 1, I am looking to up grade to the 42mm natural titanium purely because i want a smaller sized watch plus its thinner.
I've been rocking the stainless steel Series 0 (first gen) Apple Watch and I finally decided to upgrade this year to the Series 10
I’m assuming you’re wearing the 46mm throughout the video? What is your wrist size? It actually looks like it fits nicely on the wrist.
Yup, I wore the 46mm the entire time. I have a pretty normal to smaller wrist size. I think I'm like a Size 5 for the Solo Loop which is smaller...👀😂
The Black Polished Aluminum doesn't show marks like the Titanium in my experience. It's very bice
Why are the bezels thicker on the s10???
